Brightness Booster Max - A bright new era of pixels
Heightening the vivid beauty of LG OLED self-lit pixels. Brightness Booster Max takes refinements by the a9 Gen 5 AI processor to the next level, delivering up to 30%2 more luminance. Now, visuals look bolder with superior light efficiency.

a9 Gen 5 AI Processor - Beauty meets brains
The brains behind the beauty. Following deep learning advancements, LG's a9 Gen 5 AI Processor enhances objects in the foreground and background to add natural depth, and makes colours spectacularly vivid yet accurate.

Infinite Contrast - Dazzling darks, luminous lights
With no backlight to dull their impact,self-lit pixels achieve the deepest blacks for crisp contrast in every light. Visuals are more defined, so you can make out subtle details your eyes usually miss.

Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro - The details set the tone
All-new Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro goes deeper to improve the picture. Previously, it elevated just the frames. Now, the technique hones in on 5000 blocks across the screen for more vivid HDR down to each last detail.

Immersive Surround Sound - Sounds like you're in the scene.
The a9 Gen 5 AI Processor up-mixes 2-channel audio into virtual 7.1.2 channel sound. Feel the action and chaos around you, just like you're the main character of the movie.

G2 or C3, that is the question

G2 for extra warranty, better brightness and less likely to get burn in and problems later on with the heatsink

Bought my G2 65 from LG DIRECT for 840£ and very happy. This is still very good price I would pay.

The only thing stopping me buying the G2 is the fact the G3 is a dramatic step up in brightness and probably worth the extra for. (edited)

I guess depends on your budget. The G3 for now is a fair bit more than the G2

Fantastic TV, I got the 55 a while back for around £783. Came from a lg c2 an also had a Sony xh90. Both previous TVs had fantastic pictures and HDR. I only upgraded due to it had been a while an great offer. TV is plenty bright forsure, Hdr content an 4k looks fantastic on the G2. It's a good buy, also looks ace on the wall, with the wall mount!!

C3 does DTS passthrough, G2 doesn't. Big difference once you get one and then realise!

Doesn't matter if you use external players like apple TV right as it would be fed directly to amp

I've just seen the 65" G3 on Very for £1360 after 20% credit to account at later date... obviously losing out on 5yr warranty.
