It should be noted that if you have a student/teacher/university ID and email you can get pretty large discounts on ADOBE software, in this case lightroom 5 is ~£57

Why is this cold? it's the cheapest out there?

It was a duplicate, one been deleted now I think, that could be why?

    great price !

But I did spot this - is this correct now - only 1 year ? Is that 1 year of use, or 1 year of (security/bugfix) updates ?

    1 user & 1 year

Other thought that I had is that Lightroom 4 is typically found at around the £69.99 mark from one place or other. Therefore is Lightroom 5 likely to drop to a similar price or is it likely to stay at around £100 average?

Nice price, had bought on the Amazon £69 deal, but this is better and don't have to wait for boxed software.

Can anyone who has bought this from PCworld confirm it is the full "perpetual" version (I could not find a 1 year version on Adobe's site except through Creative Cloud)?

Thanks - PCworld website also has been updated and says 1 user (no longer 1 year) - ordered!

does anyone know where the discount code has come from ? I've just looked on the PCW site and couldn't find it mentioned anywhere - seems a bit weird when it's such a good price.

EDIT - jd - is it an offer code just for you ?

I'm sure I read somewhere that Adobe is changing it's business model and will be requiring users to pay a yearly fee. Don't know if there's any truth in it, or when it would be implemented though.

is it any faster than LR4 ? rarely use 4 because it's so slow on my older PC,

was fooled by the optimistic minimum system requirements.

They have changed and its called Creative Cloud. New versions of PS and other Adobe products will only be available via the CC subscription. LR is still available as a stand alone product at the moment.

Bought yesterday. Voucher code worked fine. £37 off the full price - this is a fantastic deal. Heat added.

Just to confirm I had an online chat with an Adobe support rep yesterday to confirm the terms of this licence. Basically she confirmed that you can install this on two computers at any one time. If you need to re-install or put it on another computer you just need to un-install it so that only two computers are running it at one time.

There is also no expiry e.g. 1 year to this.

Adobe is continuing to offer Lightroom 5 as a standalone product for the foreseeable future - this is a good price

(Creative Cloud subscription includes Lightroom 5 as well as other Adobe software, e.g. Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)

Thanks for this, I had almost consigned myself to paying £100, and my trial had just a few days left, so perfect timing.
