sorted byYou can use the unifying receiver software to register multiple devices to a single unifying receiver on your pc (Logitech Unifying Software). So it will work, but if you want your mouse and keyboard to use the same receiver, you will have to register the new device to it. Alternatively just plug this receiver into another USB port and you're good.
If you go the unifying route, the unifying receiver will then be configured to talk to both your mouse and keyboard, even if you move it to a different pc... The configuration is downloaded to the receiver. It will stay like this until you use the unifying software to change it again.
You can register a whole bunch of devices to one unifying receiver. But you cant register a single device to multiple receivers. (edited)
