About this deal

Nearly £140 on the Lowepro website. Lowest price I have seen this for. Has a compartment for a 13" laptop and a raincover. Some good user feedback on this:

"Hello. I have this Bag and consider important to say this 3 "hacks" (and there must be more because this bag is so versatile) that I discover are very nice to this amazing Messenger Bag:1- The most amazing to me. The bag strap can be fixed 2 DIFFERENT ways, like a Laptop bag and the other way where he tilts to the interior in the direction of your body. If you change ONLY ONE of them to the "laptop mode" position the one on the RIGHT SIDE of the bag facing to you the bag will fit perfect in your body even in low positions and almost dispensing you from using the auxiliar strap.2- We can use the many "protactic" bag inserts on the outside to leave tour heavy telephoto lens hanging from the lens shoe (with some care and always holding her with one hand while walking).3- Harder to explain but if we want to use "fat" fast lenses but still want to keep the 5 openings in the main compartment we can "steal" some space from the outside of that compartment by lowering the outside end parts and leaving them slightly loose in the bottom.Thank you very much I hope I could somehow help (Y)"

Is it worth spending on the camera bag?

do you want to protect your gear?

the issue with expensive camera bags is that you need different bags for different jobs e.g. for a landscape shoot you'll want a backpack, for street shooting a shoulder bag is preferred for model work flight cases. So while it's worth investing to protect your equipment, there's no one size fit's all bag so "cheaper" bags might be a consideration (I have 8 different camera bags currently).

While don't have this exact bag have a variety of the LowePro bags, pouches, rucksacks, including a number of those from the ProTactic series, I use these in a variety of situations both outside in poor weather, dusty environments, mountain sides and they've never let me down. The MOLLE style webbing on these allows you to add more pouches etc as needed, I stap my coat to the outside of mine Only thing I'd say is they do some with top entry zips which are what I use most often, easy quick access when needed. The waterproof covers are great, all mine a a lighter grey, and I'd prefer the subtle darker less conspicuous black. I do tend to buy mine used, as never pay RRP. If you have a camera, lenses and accesseries worth a few grand then spend you will not regret buying LowePro AW (all weather bag), if purchased either 2nd hand, or at heavy discount they do hold value well too.

Please note that this model looks to be for mirrorless, so would suit smalled DSLR's due to internal width.

PS same price on Amazon if you prefer then can check it out. Always take your gear with you when shopping for a camera bag if possible. Plus add some wiggle room.

I bought this on AliExpress for a fraction of the price. Pretty good quality, enough for full frame camera and two lenses. Also "canon" branded. Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out!
