    You'll want the standard Minecraft. Minecraft Storymode doesn't play like the original where they get to build things.

    They're two completley different games. One is a story based adventure game (Story Mode) the other is the sandbox version where you can build anything you want. Obviously it's subjective to each kid, but I imagine most would prefer just the standard game (It's by far the more popular)
