I can predict its score already, likely to be a 6/10 game. Probably another mediocre effort like all the recent Wii U games, e.g. Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and Star Fox Zero. Only Zelda U is likely to be a great game that's left to come out and that's getting an NX port where it's likely to be the definitive version.

looking at some of the gameplay videos, it seems it doesn't use motion control

Still too much, the gameplay videos show that the gameplay's scripted but at least the football game is apparently decent. Good thing I have my GameCube to play Smash Football, Power Tennis and Toadstool Tour.

It would be strange if Nintendo mirrored Zelda 2017 like they did with Twilight Princess but that's a possibility.

Eh? It was only mirrored on the Wii because of the Wiimote and most players being right handed. Unless of course they go with a remote style controller again.

    Whoosh

What they mean we will see a version of zelda on the wii U and then another for the NX when it comes out, just like they did with twilight princess on the game cube then got released on the wii. I'm pretty confident this will happen

You should be confident since it's already been confirmed by Nintendo.

So I read somewhere that this game (Mario and sonic) won't use motion controls. That's a plus in my book if so!

    Press button 'A'.
    You're winner.

So who has actually played the game and is reaching a decision on its quality actually based on playing it themselves?

This game is a good opportunity to showcase and make use of the Amiibo's for a change. Probably not the case, but one can hope?
