Battery admittedly isn't great, and is probably its biggest downside. - it generally lasts a full day (ie: wake up to sleep) with a reasonable bit left, and with the "ambient on" mode enabled - but note that doesnt mean the screen is on continuously - it still turns off when the watch is at an angle you are unlikely to be watching it from, however that doesn't worry me. In fact its possibly a plus as a privacy bonus, and wakes pretty much instantly when tilted towards you. When its at an angle you might be able to see it (flat or higher) the screen stays on in a low power mode - so you can still see the time at a glance. If you turned ambient "off" (which means the screen stays off until its tilted towards you, and goes off again soon after you've stopped interacting with it) I expect it might someway into day 2 (not all the way though!) But as I charge it every night anyway I've not seen a need to do this. The lack of longevity is countered by the ease of charging - the QI charging stand is a very big plus point for this watch. Drop it onto the stand - it turns into a bedside clock. pick it up in the morning, away you go! No messing with plugs or magnets. The fact that it's QI means any QI wireless charger will work with it too.
The actual functionality is great - love being able to read texts, facebook messenger messages, whatsapp etc on the watch and reply. Google maps is very good too. Wrist flick, to flick between notifications (feature added in last update) works really well too if you don't have your other hand free to swipe the screen!
I paid the full £200 at launch, and don't regret it one bit!

Thanks, it's my first deal!

Having owned both it's clear the LG has much better battery life even with the screen on all the time at full brightness, still over 24 hours. The Moto lasts just a few hours with the screen on constantly and has a big chunk of screen missing from the bottom.
Even if the Moto was £50 I wouldn't want it. It's near impossible to see the screen outside. Get the G watch R, it's OLED not LCD and better all round, with WiFi being enabled next month so you don't even have to keep your phone near to you all of the time.

Wow, after all the hype they had surrounding the leather used too. A carbon fiber band would go well with the "futuristic" nature of a smartwatch I think.
I own a 360 and disagree with almost everything you say about it. The screen is perfectly legible outside, it lasts all day, the 'flat tyre' is negligible and son forgotten. Plus it will charge on any QI wireless charger, a huge advantage when you travel a lot.
I loved mine... Just wish I hadn't dived into the Med while wearing it...
Is it sellotaped to your wrist too for easy viewing?
Or you could walk into the town centre and look at the clock on the town hall ...
As a person who had this for ~4 Months I would encourage you to really take a look at Sony's SmartWatch 3. Not that 360 is bad but SW3 is just better.
not quite. This is the metal band version which was exclusive to a John lewis in the UK. It costs more.
Is that not running Samsungs Tizen?

And chips/scratches very easily. Begins to look very tatty after a month of use. People are using marker pens to try and cover it up!

I had Moto 360 for 3-4 months and the sold it and got my self SW3 that I have now for ish 3 months. Look in this chart and you will see why my current choice from this 1st gen. watches is Sony's SmartWatch 3! It has the biggest battery, best water resistance, GPS, NFC (Can I dream about Android Pay payments?) and I really like it's display tech plus that Micro USB port all though finicky as f**** is useful if you want to charge from a power bank on the go (I still LOVE Moto's stand though).
Lots of reviews mention the washed out colours of the SW3 compard to the Moto360. Having owned both, how would you compare the displays?
passes on selected notifications from your phone, vibrates when you're being called and shows you caller ID, allows you to set reminders and alarms by voice alone, navigate, and answer texts without taking phone from your pocket. Plus it has a pulse measuring device so you can use it as a fitness trainer if so inclined. Plus a million other things.
Do you seriously not know what smartwatches do?
Shame you cant have the screen always on at full brightness without killing the battery within 3 hours.
Suggest you buy a G watch R on amazon to test run it for a week before returning it, you'll feel deflated being left with only the moto.
