I had this deal the other deal . Basically even if your an existing customer with collections package you will still get the 6 months free but they do sign you up to a new 12 month contract but at no additional cost.

At the end of the 6 months all you have to do is ring up virgin and cancel netflix and you wont be charged a penny.

Once you’ve signed up, not only can you watch Netflix on your TV with TiVo, you can register up to 5 more devices to your Netflix account. Meaning you can watch on your PC, tablet, game console, smart TV, mobile or any other gadget

Already with Virgin Media?

All you’ll have to do is sign up for a further 12 months to your Collection.

I've been using it for a week now and it has a vast content for adults and kids alike.

Hope this deal is handy for some

Been with Netflix for 12 months guess what? Still not bored of it, if used with a vpn or smart dns it makes Sky look outdated and Lovefilm look like a laughing stock.
Try it with using unblock-us before slating it you might be surprised.
As for your username what's the matter? Couldn't be original?

Will give it a try once my two months Lovefilm ends. See if it is better.
To be fair netflix is much better than lovefilm

If you choose to have netflix virgin will take any loyalty discounts off of your account. I was worse off as my loyalty added up to £24 off a month. I had a nightmare sorting it out, the advisor is supposed to tell you when you phone up. Just a heads up and check before you get it.

I asked them about this yesterday and was declined as I've had a Netflix trial before.

Good deal but would disagree that Netflix is better. It is deceptive when you look at the title screen as you think they have so many films but a lot of the same films are repeated across categories to appear like there are more. Beyond the odd exclusive and new film, there is a lot of tat on Netflix. Lovefilm has a much richer back catalogue but is not always quick with the new releases. Depends what you are after but that is just my opinion and this is still a good deal.....it's free so people can see for themselves!

Crap movies on Netflix, u can watch all the good ones using free trial

Netflix is all about the TV shows for me, the movies just attracted me to the service. If you want access to lots of more recent movies, Now TV is certainly the best, but available on less devices.

don't really think this is a good deal as your tied into a 12 month contract with virgin. Yeah you get 6 months free but if your new to netflix you get 1 month free and then £5.99 for other 5 months. Just doesn't seem worth it to be tied into another 12 month contract i'd rather chance trying to get something better off them that's my opinion though and every one different.

I've watched a film a day for 17 months so I can tell you LoveFilm is much better than Netflix because of the huge choice of films they have, approx 84,000, although you do have to rent most of them. Netflix is improving all the time in this country and the variety is increasing but not to the number of films available that LoveFilm has.

Wonder if sky would ever do anything like this?

Yes, the Netflix app is only available on TiVo boxes.

I use unblock us, which lets me select which countries netflix I want to access. Think it's about 12.

any deals for non-virgin customers does anyone know??
#23
What Netflix does have is tons of stuff for the kids.

I phoned up and was declined because i am on a rententions deal. They also said it was only for premier and VIP collections customers. A bit misleading if you ask me as it does not mention any ofthis ontheir T&Cs on their website.
#25
Netflix library is quite small but the problem Sky has too much content licensed to them and Lovefilm has Warner Bros catalogue which has plenty of good films.

So either way each month there will be various differences between the service, sometimes Lovefilm will have better, at times Sky will be providing better content (like Iron Man 3 & Star Trek 2 available on demand right now) at times Netflix will be good.

I agree, it's definitely only against the higher end packages, only 1 month for others which you get anyway.

The Sky NowTV box is only £10, and if you decide after the first FREE month, not to subscribe, you can install Plex on it and use it to stream stuff from your PC, bargain for £10.

There's now TV at Argos. £25 gets you the box (sky tweaked roku LT) and £15 for 3 months sky movies. you also get one month trial from sky so £15 for four months sky movies in effect.

Are the Netflix codes on eBay basically access to watch somebody else's account?

Be aware if you have loyalty discounts in place you will lose these if taking out a new Collections subscription

Are the Netflix codes on eBay basically access to watch somebody else's account?

As far as I can see, there are two types on ebay - the first is they give you a username and password, which you can use but are not allowed to change. If it stops working, they say they will give you another username and password. I think this is probably, like you said, a valid account from somewhere else in the world which you are sort of piggy-backing on. I would never buy something like this - don't like the idea of sharing my account with someone else. edit: have also heard a few stories like kill_bill above, where the accounts they provide stop working - even if they provide a new account every time, the whole thing doesn't seem worth the hassle.

The other type is you buy a code, which you apply/redeem on your own netflix account. It gives you a credit on your account equivalent to a one year subscription (£71.88). I've seen these sold for £15-20 on ebay. Maybe there's some catch with these too, but if you were thinking about it, this would probably be the way to go. £15 for a year of netflix seems pretty good!

Op you do not ring up Virgin to cancel Netflix you would have to cancel directly with Netflix. Which is easy enough to do. You should correct this in your post.

Netflix has the option of subtitles which is very important to people who are hard of hearing/deaf, Lovefilm due to some reason are still struggling with this feature which should be standard in this day and age. I had lovefilm until last month and recently joined Netflix and I must say that its a much better experience.
