You can’t log in using a UK account and there’s no need for a VPN with the PSN stores. You have the create a new account at the Indonesian store with a different email address to the UK account.

I've logged in thru VPN, but then got the message that location doesn't match, so no use for me anyway, but when I checked the price it was even less than £21, £18.79 according to XE, so I am puzzled why there is such discrepancy across the markets :/

It’s not directly compatible with a UK account but far more cost effective than paying the going UK rate. You can however use the online multiplayer benefit from your UK account once set up. It’s maybe not suitable if you’ve built up a UK PS+ game collection and you’re heavily reliant on it. The Netflix deal works with UK subscriptions though.

Care to share how it works whenever someone has UK PSN account, does it include free Netflix, tia?

Do not buy a Roku to hack like a fire stick they are a nightmare.

We had the same issue on our roku stick really poor WiFi range had to get rid in the end

Probably my first one was keep randomly crashing but then Argos replaced it never had a problem since January or it can be your WiFi signal not strong enough it uses 2.4ghz

Love my Roku but found the wifi range poor compared to fire stick and nowtv box. Maybe I have a duff one.

How does this compare with Chromecast?

Heads up, the free PS+ games for August for Indonesia ie Mafia 3 and Syberia 3 are now available to download (this usually happens a few days after the UK goes live).

@dodoegg1 When you set a console as primary for a user, the purchases and subscriptions belonging to that user are made available to any user on that console. If you want to benefit from those same purchases or subscriptions on another console, you have to be logged in as that user. As the other console is not primary for that user, no other user on that console may play that user's games or take advantage of their subscriptions. Game sharing works in this exact way but your friend's account is invariably another UK one. If you can convince your friend to start using the Indonesian account instead of their own, it's game sharing. The down side is that the non-primary console has to be connected to PSN to authorise the use of the games... If the Internet or PSN goes down, the ability to play those games goes too.

See above for 2nd point, a couple of the others who contribute on here may be able to help re: sharing of PS+

You’d have to set up a new Indonesian account, but once set up you can hop back on UK account and use benefits of the Indonesian account go online. I’m not sure how the mechanics of PS+ sharing works, not tried it (only done this sort of thing with Xbox Live) but @copperspock or @BubaMan may be able to shed some light on this.

Hello, I would advise canceling the order as you will be treated as an existing member as a result of your past account with O2. That'll explain being referred to as a previous customer on your call to O2 customer services. To be viewed as a new customer, you would need to be making a purchase with O2 for the first time 'ever'. I hope that helps :) Thanks, Joseph

A word of warning – this is only for 'new customers', and O2 classifies this only as someone who's never been with O2 before, ever. I remembered after I signed up that I'd been with them about 8 years ago, and apparently I wouldn't have been eligible for any cashback/voucher because of this. Ended up cancelling.

I was almost about to pull the trigger on this until I found out you can only use 150mb on their travel package before the speed is throttled

Anyone know how to get the Netflix credit from this? So far it is looking like just standard price - Opened ticket with VoucherCodes as it didn't track the sale, and so far nothing about the Netflix credit.

Mate I'm one of em that bought that deal. Just didn't get it for £19.99 sadly !

Did you see how much heat that deal got and how many people took advantage of it? Fortunately my OH is a student, so I managed to bag it too. Even with plain old non-Student Prime, it was £34.99 for 15M, which is probably more appealing to most than 3 months of (free-ish) Netflix (as evidenced by the temperature in here). Incidentally, I’m only trying to explain the psychology of the cold votes, not actually voting cold.

The offer is available for me (received offer email), and as a current Netflix subscriber it's an absolute no-brainer for me (especially taking into account the cheaper CDKeys PSN credit) . That's my PS+ sorted until Dec 2021 now :D

For those who were worried it was stuck on a very stable Android 6, as of yesterday the upgrade to Android 8 Oreo is rolling out to the international (English) version of the box.

HDR for Netflix is confirmed working with the latest update.

I Can Confirm @richwest comment a above i checked last night and got the Android Oreo update . I can confirm apps can be side loaded through the apk's i have installed all the uk on demand TV players( but ive had to add a Bluetooth keyboard to navigate - also a you need to lock orientation to the landscape mode using something like the HAL Launcher app ) . if you can find the apk for a Nvidia shield amazon prime app it will work ( not 4k but up scaling seems to be perfect) .I do not find the mi box to be poor at playing 4K content , its perfect apart from the occasional reboot ,even though i haven't tested it with the Oreo update. Apart from that 5 GHz WiFi connects at around 85 Mbps ( which is pretty impressive(according to Netflix - Sony bravia only connects at 40 Mbps). i have invested in a powered USB hub to increase storage through the addition of a Flash drive - make sure you get a good USB hub if you go this way as the lack of power will on and off disconnect the flash drive -in which case you will have to keep removing and re-attaching it time and again ,my USB Hub isn't powerful enough unfortunately. i got mine from an eBay seller here which actually arrived from the UK in a sealed box for £55 ..ish if i remember correct but have gone up in price now .

They've just rolled out the Oreo update for these today (finally), so happy days!

There's so much arguing in this comment section I'm so confused about this deal (lol) My understanding is you sign up to Turkish Netflix using a revolut card and you will end up playing 3.50 or so a month for the standard Netflix without having to watch Turkish content? Am I right? Dropping around 50 quid into my revolut account should be enough for the year or is exchange rate expected to fluctuate a lot?

You mean 39.99 Lira I assume? 13.99 TRY is worth just £1.80.

My revolut account is showing 13.99 Turkish lira as now about £5 something.

They email you which states: "Thanks for joining PlayStation®Plus for 12 months. To enjoy 3 months of Netflix, simply click the link below and follow the on-screen instructions." Confusingly states 12 months despite the deal being 3 months of PS Plus. The link takes you to a Netflix page with a code shown which you can redeem. Once clicked to redeem it adds an amount of £23.97 to your account. So, you can choose the higher or lower plan rather than the HD plan if you so wish. Sorry if the wording was confusing on my original post.

They added it to your psn account?? How much did they add to your account? If true it changes the deal

I've just received my email from Sony Playstation for using this offer and it just credited my account with the amount for three months however I choose to use the credit. Thank you for the heads up on the offer and gladly it worked for me.

I'd say completely. It's never going to be one of those things you constantly have on your head, but for what you're getting, I'd say do it. I picked up Skyrim VR (my favourite game of ALL time :D ) and I just love it. I mean beforehand you're just playing Skyrim, now you're in Skyrim. It doesn't get much better than that. I also picked up Resident Evil 7 (can't play it due to motion sickness). It looks great in VR and I genuinely can't wait to get my VR legs to play through it. I've also got GT Sport which is a great example of what VR can do, if not limited. TL:DR - do it. Especially from the 8th when the gen. 2 Starter Pack drops to £199.99 with either GT Sport or Wipeout (the latter of will seriously test your VR legs).

Nice of you to check every bodies buffering problems, the power and camaraderie on HUKD"s web pages.

no buffering issues here but i do have it on 5ghz wifi running of virgin media 350mbit those with buffering issues i found were running windows 10 pc's in the house which were randomly downloading updates and slowing the network down.

Had a replacement ordered due to the flaring issue but refused delivery and went for a refund instead - too much of an issue for me as I noticed it every time we watched something in the dark. And in winter, everything we watch will be in the dark ... Another major problem was that all streaming was buffering horribly. When I first got it, watched footy in glorious UHD but when I went to watch something from iPlayer (Frankie Goes to Russia, Inbetweeners etc...) everything lagged and stuttered even on a 30MBps wired connection, to the point I could not watch it out of sheer frustration. Useless really. The faulty ARC and not picking up my NAS media server were the straws that broke the camels back! Couldn't keep it. So, I'll spend a little more and get a Sony 65" instead. I did, however, buy the 43" version from Costco at £274.99 and use it as a PC monitor - great for gaming. Still grey splodges at each corner in white scenes and slight flaring of greys so I'm guessing all the panels are made that way. Fortunately, on the smaller screen, as I'm sitting directly in front of it, the flaring is hardly noticeable at all. All in all, great buy for a 4K PC monitor - even the HD TV picture from my portable aerial is eminently watchable. For some reason, though, not getting the option to watch footy in UHD (maybe it recognises its a wireless connection in the study?) Thought it was HDR though (as its 75" big brother was HDR), but the 43" lacks this feature and may force me to send it back. Would like to see Forza 7 in HDR...

And I would really like to know the answer to this too.....

I'm glad yours is not as bad boonkoh. Which makes me think I'm going to have to get this swapped out and hope 3rd time lucky!! - If Costco will believe me! And I agree this TV for the money is great, I'm happy with full screen bright images just the 'flared dark images are just unaceptabel (in my case)

What's this like playing say Plex and Netflix compared to the apps on a smart TV?

Great, shall be upgrading my old Roku with this tomorrow now. Thanks for the heads up OP.

Problem with Roku is, while it has all the apps, the apps are poorly built. For example, the Prime Video app is abysmal on Roku in comparison to the higher quality Xbox/PS ones. This is why I returned my Roku.

Voted hot, bought this today, on Tesco direct, as I had some club card vouchers. Love the wireless remote on this and the TV buttons are very handy. Voice search also started working a few weeks ago, it used to only be available in USA.

Whats the best way to use this with limited wifi data?

I think you both mis-understood, I was explaining why the 'deal-post' was cold and then expired before it froze, as it was a re-post like this deal: Re-post too often and it will freeze as a deal, regardless of merit There are ways around the one trial per household and when these are posted, it is hot, see

Ok , but you can't tell me that everyone who rinsed and repeated on this in the past used a different device to watch on each time too . It used to be doable , but much like Amazon I was just mentioning that netflix now seem to be cracking down on it .

It's pretty obvious to most that if you use the same getaway car for bank robberies, you will eventually get caught.

Not sure that always works anymore, my son had a free trial then cancelled and I set up and did the same . Husband then tried and Netflix cancelled it two days in , when he phoned they said that although it was a different email and payment type and set up on a different device, they had picked up that one phone that was using it had already had a free trial this year . Apparantly it's officially one free trial per household , so I guess they are starting to crack down (fierce) .
