It's freezing here and for good reasons (lol)

solid

Don't sweat it, the price increase is probably to offset the decrease in the TL

ken218

Still less than 1/2 price of UK offering :)

leehardacre

Sidenote: email this morning saying my Turkish Netflix will be going up to 54.99 TL! The nerve!

Darklord

Ahh, sorry. I understand now. It’s applying the credit that’s the issue rather than watching.

That's exactly what I was trying to say. There are better SDR TVs than HDR for around £500. If HDR is your thing you're looking at £600-800 minimum for a 55 inch

Dekard97

Not true? Find me a decent 55 inch HDR TV for under £400. I just paid £500 for a mid-range TV on a deal down from £650, and that won't exactly be decent for HDR use.

chancooluk

It wouldn't on a screen this cheap though, simply because the brightness and contrast wouldn't be there. Often SDR looks better than HDR on cheap low nit panels.

Not true 4k resolution won’t make much different . But HDR would.

Thanks for posting but this is a terrible price for open box If you Google the serial number (which takes about 10 seconds), It's available New from Curry's, Very and various other sellers for £649.99 https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/samsung-ue55tu8500uxxu-55-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-led-tv-with-bixby-alexa-google-assistant-10206243-pdt.html

No doubt an excellent set but sadly only 3 HDMI inputs, whereas Panasonic and others have 4 as standard at this level.

OK so my bill is 37.15 and 14 for multiscreen. How does it become 22

Jelf10

Trying to work out the pricing. It's showing Netflix at £5 if I take signature for 18 months I'm on variety with ultra HD, HD, multi reen I wish they'd give you a proper breakdown. But says I'd go from 37 to 22 but my bill is normally somewhere near 50

marteee

Yes because most of the premium channels arent carried on Freesat

marteee

Yes, always

marteee

THIS is the naughty thing with Sky, whenever you take offers, INSIST they all run the full term of the contract, or simply refuse them. Otherwise you end up in this exact situation where they roast you for 6 months (often offers are 12 months, but contracts 18) and they wont offer you much in the way of re-contracting offers until your overall contract is expiring (maybe a couple of quid but then you miss out on the strong position of being truly out of contract at month 18). Push them hard on this poiunt and they DO agree to it (I've just done the same last week, locking in my previous 12 months deal price, with an extra quid off for good measure, all fixed for 18 months which is the length of the contract)

Great book, like really really good. The show was a let down.

Dickduncan

I found too many similarities between 1 and 2. For me I found "The fall" better from a series point of view. Regarding the book I've not read it so cant comment if it better

Mattk84

I watched season 1 and found it ok but never really fully bought into it. The ending was a massive let down and killed it for me.

katekatrin1981

Yes its great. The begining is borring. Give another go, it's really good.

TWD

I really enjoyed it but I supposed it depends on what sort of things you like.

Yeah, if you have a smart TV already it's probably redundant. I've a Sony with Android and built in Chromecast so it's probably not worth it for me either.

neversay

Agreed. I think my friend is going to return it. He's not that impressed with the interface compared to his regular Smart TVs and Fire TV anyway as it happens. That's £80 he's saved. ;)

ureds

I think Turkish members are better off just buying the CC standalone for £50. 6 months of Premium netflix costs £25 in Turkey anyway.

neversay

They send you an email that links to Netflix to sign-into (or create) an account to apply the offer. That's where you get the regional block. There may be some tech expert who can figure out a way to reverse engineer the URL API call into a voucher code, but I doubt it.

ukjams

Yes it is. Range is as follows: Chromecast v3 (1080p) < Chromecast Ultra (4k) < Chromecast With Google TV(this one, 4k)
