I mean its not double the price better no. This model has bad speakers (not even on both sides), outdated design and the display is not amazing plus it isn't laminated. But the 10th gen doesn't have laminated display either even though the speakers are better.

The 10th gen ipad is basically a 4th gen Air made intentionally worse.

9th gen ipad is highly compromised basically but if you use Bluetooth headphones / speaker it's a pretty quick device and great for games etc. Many people use them to play games like old school runescape as it is by far the quickest device at this price point and form factor.

The only competition is the Galaxy Tab S9 (no, not the FE, the real S9) during black Friday last year which had an insane sale that put it down to just £250 + a trade in of a broken Tab s6 Lite. Other than that I've seen nothing remotely close.

This is the best Apple product along with the Apple TV imo as it straight up undercuts the competition in a very "non apple like" way. (edited)

Very likely the new iPad Air 6 and Pro will be announced on the 7th May. There’s speculation Apple will offer a new budget version…which might be just speculation. But it might be worth waiting until Tuesday to find out.

Brilliant value. I use mine to death. Does almost everything you need and lightweight.
Lovely screen and a nice protective cover is around £15-20 on eBay.

Updates no problems, warranty is with seller for one year I believe. You can get apple care for peace of mind should you choose to go this way

Be careful, the adapter they include is just that - an ADAPTER ... I thought they would be giving a proper charger with it, but you get the US charger and a US to UK adapter

I ordered from them last time there was a deal, I got a official apple uk plug with my box and a 2 pin adapter strangely that didn’t need as it came as a uk edition
