Yes. Back to over £500 again. Hopefully someone benefitted from this. I have the mini 2 and it still runs everything I throw at it. The 4 adds quite a bit extra even if it is old.

Meg121

Item discontinued from ebuyer. May want to expire post

robdougall

Not sure why this is cold as the Cellular/4G ones are over £500 elsewhere. I know you can get the WiFi only versions ones for £300. Also another advantage of the cellular vision is that it has GPS for SatNav/Map positioning for when there is no WiFi that the WiFi only ones don't have.

AzNDeals

Bit old now, but considering how hot the regular version is getting at £299, I think it's not too much to ask to pay an extra £12.99 for the 4G

adz19

Duno I bought one the other day an it’s pretty quick.

Not sure where you draw your conclusions from.

shakerstevens

I know what you are saying, the majority of people are wanting those bigger phones now, and I'm in a minority market thats becoming even more of a minority ! I will probably end up getting an iPhone 7 or 8 this year, mainly because I want a phone with a bit of water resistance and a slightly bigger phone won't be much of an issue. But the iPad Mini form factor will still be my preference for as long as I can make it last!

koskesh

don’t play with words,I commented on the guy who complained why a tablet is £800,and you came re-quoted him and me repeating “its a tablet”,meaning you agree with him why a tablet is 800

ezzer72

You know exactly what you was trying to say, the guy had a fair point that it is THE tablet (though I prefer and own the 10.5” one) and was quite right to say that it’s incomparable with a Hudl. p.s. I have an OLED TV too, I wasn’t criticising your choice there, just pointing out that we all have things that we like to pay extra for the best

tjc2005

He was also acting as if it was more than a tablet. I never said anything about price, or the deal. I simply said, it's a tablet. Read into that what you will.

For me it’s made our iPad mini 2 usable again (I found it laggy even opening the settings before), my 6s is great, kids haven’t moaned about their phones either. I would say yes tbh.

Newbold

Never had any problems with IOS 10 or 11 but I do tend to hold back for a while on major updates. Still on 11 for that reason. Is 12 stable?

mt50

I would agree with you up to IOS11 but 12 seems much better so far imo, whereas my first gen pixel had started to play up with android 9 (lag, bad battery drain etc). Either way Both systems have positives and negatives.

friar

Mine arrived yesterday, sealed in cellophane,71% charged still, lovely! Liked the way when setting up, you hold an iPhone next to it and all passwords ,wifi sent over to it.

I’ve got the iPad 3. Crashes a lot. Was thinking of getting rid of mine as only used for watching catch up tv

Josh_Graham

Ahh my mistake. I own both and they're worlds apart in everyday performance, they're no longer my daily drivers due to being obsolete but after iOS 8 on the 3 it was unusable, was ok on previous versions on iOS but the performance increase on the 4 is extremely obvious. I thought it only had 512mb due to how slow it felt to use and the fact how bad multitasking was on newer versions of iOS.

david_robinson94

Yes. The iPad 3 was effectively an iPad 2 with a Retina display and it was terribly underpowered. The iPad 4 shipped 5.5 months later correcting the mistake. Every iPad, apart from this one, represented long life and good value

ezzer72

They both had 1gb RAM, I don't think the A5X to A6X was a huge jump either tbh.

debesis26

Its so slow that makes me want to smash it. Im pretty sure its ios update that ruined it. It was running perfectly fine before it got to the latest updates.

12 November 2013, the device is 5 years old.... amazing it still works when you think of the crap other brands release and don't support literly out of the box.

Anon32

I use 11 only just upgraded from 9. Not as slow as I thought but it has a small lag. Is 12 any better? 12 will probably be the last time it will be upgraded.

amuseboy

I have to make no payments or the minimum payments each month for 6 months and will not be charged any interest if I clear the balance before the end of the 6 months. After the 6 months point I will be charged interest from the purchase date. I intend to pay it all off in 3 months. Great deal in my opinion.

Xintruder

what about that interest bit? did you just payed it off straight away?

Number6

Anyone who thinks the 2018 iPad is new tech compared to a Mini 4 should look closer at what you get. You may be surprised, and not in a good way ... * The 2018 iPad has a bigger-but-worse screen - the same screen used in the iPad Air in 2013. * It has identical specs to the 2015 Mini 4 - cameras, RAM, wifi speed (but does have Bluetooth 4.2 vs 4.0) * A10 processor from 2016. * 32GB storage vs the Mini 4's 128GB at the same price point. If the Mini 4 was £400, no contest - the 2018 iPad would win, but with John Lewis selling the Mini 4 for £299 and Very for £249, the choice isn't so clear cut.

It wont be any better than an old fire, a lot of newer games (the ones your son most likely wants to play!) wont run on it. I'd suggest the new Fire tab as an upgrade. Get the 10" if you want something ipad sized.

After years using android tablets and detecting from apple...I had the first iPhone..and with android tablets being so people, Samsung tab s3 and s4 aside, I thought I'd get the iPad pro. Mines the 256gb version. I also have the pen and keyboard case. Well, I really don't get the hype. On terms of speed it doesn't feelang quicker than my 4 year old Samsung tab 1 7.9. The screen seems far worse too. Accessories are a joke, massively overpriced and poorly made and designed. The apple oen, nowhere to put it and stupid method of charging it. The keyboard case is just a front cover that you cant hold as it's not physical attached un anyway...dumb. tye Samsung s4 tab has a brilliant case that makes the apple one look like a cheap toy. Oh so you've paid 160, then you need a case for the back..wtf. wish I'd waited for the Samsung tab 4 which has far better functionality, DeX, pen that slots into and charged by the tablet. As for faults, nope the iPad pro isn't perfect as the fanboys would have you believe and yep I needed to reboot my after the screen orientation suddenly stopped working....never in 10 years has that happened to an android tablet I've had....although they have had their own issues too. The only big plus is upgrades to latest firmware, which android tablets don't get

RUGAAL

Ordered few apple goods from them, most expensive being 899 lappy, no issues ever, always arrive within 5 days

patrick_000

I ordered an iPad from them and it took over a month to arrive from Hong Kong where they’re based. I got no answer to any of my emails/tickets to their customer service people at all. Make sure you order via credit card so you can get a refund if they don’t deliver. You are at risk of being charged VAT/import duty as they’re not paying that - mine had fake values on the declaration. Many people seem to do okay with them but I wouldn’t order via them again, personally.

LOUKELL

I had no problems with them delivery was swift .

Yea mate no denial Apple tech is great. Just personally I don't agree with the heavy Apple tax, but thats just me I'm stingy and want get best value for my tech lol. I agree this is powerhouse tablet so if do manage to use the power, then yea this appears to be the best price around for this model so voted hot. But for the average Joe like me that just watch some Youtube and do some light works there are many budget valued tablets in the market. Also I'm more fan of Androids where can use microsd to expand storage I like that extra option and flexibility. Personally I don't like Cloud services for privacy/security concerns storing data on a external server and I'm too lazy to manage storage all the time, in this day and age consumers should be able to pay a reasonable price for a decent amount of storage especially when you can get 128gb microsd cards quite cheaply from recent HOTUK deals :)

Josh_Graham

With the likes of cloud storage integrated into iOS, 64gb is reasonable for a baseline model albeit it doesn't really match up to the 'pro' branding, 64gb can go a long way if managed sensibly, this ipad is an absolute powerhouse and is virtually unmatched in the tablet industry and I'm not saying this as an apple fanboy
