If you have (or may get in the near future) a QC device then I'd pay the extra few quid (£13.99) for this one with a QC2.0 port:

Can you get Showbox on these?, If so, link much appreciated...
The thing with iPads is yes they are expensive but I have had my air for 3 years now and it still runs great and gets constant updates. Also if I sold it I can get half of what I paid back even though it's three year old tech. Try doing that with an android tablet you get peanuts in resale.

Cold. As usual Apple's ridiculous markups for their unremarkable tablets get reduced by a few quid and the faithful coo in unison.
As usual soneone who has no clue.

what's the price at Apple?
£619 at Apple with 1 year
Its not really one year with Apple, they are extremely good on eu consumer law and deal with the device there and then in store instead of sending it away for two weeks

Thanks to the morons that voted for Brexit, we may not have that for much longer..

Masteryates - How about reading the specs before guessing. iPad mini 2 has 1gb memory, iPad mini 1 has 512. DO NOT BUY A 1 they are painfully slow.
my daughter has a mini 2 and it is fine but my other daughter has a mini one and nothing wrong with it at all and is not slow either as it also has apple support yet.
Not sure how apple support can make it go faster but anyway. ok it's your daughters have you actually spent anytime on it and compared to a newer Ipad believe me when I say you would give up after 5 mins.
i have used the mini one and it is fairly quick but then it is only 1 month old got brand new (cheap for 6 yr),then i have the mini 2 retina which is my other daughters (who is 4 and again got cheap second hand for £50) and my son 13 has ipad air 1 wifi and 4g (got new last year for £190) and my ipad air 2 wifi and 4g (new last month for £200) and my sons ipad air is slower probably because of all the apps.but the mini is fairly nippy still but is hardly anything on it except 2 apps my wee girl likes.

Have you installed all the updates? if you have fair enough, obviously fine for your/her needs. If like me you want to use it as your main tablet and use it daily then it's not for you. iPad mini 2 should be fine with the 1gb.

Why the cold votes?
Can anyone advise where you can buy an apple mini 2 for a cheaper price in August 2016?
The only good advice is don't buy an apple mini 2 in August 2016, a mere two and a half weeks before they're widely expected to announce the new model.
ipad mini will only drop about 20 quid but it will be a month or 2 before that happens after announcement but it will hit the second hand market better dropping the price by around 30-50 pounds off what it is now
dougal868
Well thanks for the usual HUKD love! Never sure why people feel the need to vote cold and leave daft comments - if it's not for you and you don't like it, fine, move on - do you really need to do more than that?

As it happens, I'm fully aware that this isn't the best ipad, it won't be good enough for everyone, and that's obviously fine. But I found it looking for one for my 11 year old daughter and it will suit her fine - it's the BEST price I have found (after a while of searching) for THIS particular ipad - it's a good deal if that's what you need and may be useful to someone in the same situation as myself.

I rarely come on this site these days because of exactly this, you think you find something that could be useful to others then you get shouted down because a few people think it's crap just because it's not suitable for EXACTLY what they want, never mind that it might help anyone else.

I give up.
i voted hot as it is fairly reasonable priced and also it is around £149 second hand,so for £50 more it is brand new and you do not have anyones elses problems like with a second hand one might have.i personally prefer brand new unless i know the history of an ipad from new.

Any idea what the grip is like on this? I see rubber on the front part but is the back part just plastic? That sounds slippy if so
Hi
There are no rubber pads on the back part.
I find the item does not slip due to the weight of the device adding to the stability.
Of course it will move if you push but this would happen even with rubber pads on rear section.
I have a iPhone metal stand with 4 rubber pads its very stable but moves on a wooden table.
Are you concerned it may topple over?
Nah its just the sliding I was worried about. I'm after it for an 8 inch tablet when using on trains

Should be fine with no case, fantastic product infinite viewing angle weight of tablet should prevent any movement on a train.
Non slip mats for cars are available - if there was an issue if you type 'non slip car dashboard mat' into amazon
a small mat would fit in a case - dont think you'll need it though
cheers
hope this helps

Having had a look it seems very will credit you £100 by October provided you don't cancel but then there's no guarantee you will get it and by then it's too late to cancel. Also I would have thought the new customer 10% off won't stack with £100 pound off £450 as it brings the cost of the 32gb pro below £450 but if might be good if you buy a higher spec model. The lack of confirmation would put me off, the Tesco deal seems less hassle and no need to open credit accounts.

Very.com have a £100 back if your a new customer and spend over £450, plus 10% of for it being over credit. Its interest free buy now pay later.
Gets a lot of hate on here but I did similar with the Ipad air a few years ago and had no issues at all. Sorely tempted to get the pro through there offer myself.

How do you get the 100 pound back? Just buy it normally then they credit you?

You seriously posted a deal for one single item that was supposedly reduced, words fail me

Why not? One person could have got a stonking deal. Is there any minimum number of items to constitute a deal? It did say quite clearly in the title "one only", if you're not interested in single item deals why read it?

Out of stock now (someone did get a stonking deal) but the site's still showing that price, or variations for other grades, so worth keeping a lookout for it coming in stock again.

Wouldn't I be better to wait for the new one to be released then grab the existing one at a reduced price?

If e.g. The current 32gb one is £499 , what kinda price would you expect to pay for old stock once the new ones had been launched?

Bought myself a Surface Pro 3 around 12 months ago to replace an ageing ipad 3.
However I just cant get used to it.

The fan always kicking in. Poor battery life and just seems heavy and clumsy using as a tablet.
Thinking bout moving back to ipad.
Is there a new one out or is the pro 9.7 worth getting now?

Hopefully i can get a decent price for mi i5 255gb 8gb memory surface pro.
So wanted to love it and was hyped to be able to play full pc games and photoshop etc. But just doesnt seem to blend well and so cluncky :0(

Happen to me too with a Windows machine. The other day it spent 28 hours downloading and installing an update...

It failed and it wasn't even latest major update. Now it's constantly trying again.

I'm waiting for the new 12.9 iPad Pro which is due in October apparently. This ones recent enough if you prefer this size.

Not really a great deal for the air 1, Currys had the air 1 32gb for less than £100 about two weeks ago and the air 2 128gb for £200.
Which planet's branch of Currys was this? Absolute rubbish. The Air 2 is current stock.
The 128gb is not current in the AIR 2 line, it went clearance! Apple have reduced there size options.
You think I am crazy? I have one sitting on my desk right now! It was nationwide, I was told there was stock all over, but they sold out that day.
Well, you got the deal of the century then. Congrats!

For general sale? That's more than 50% off

Was general sale. See above :) Apple discontinuing some models and sizes. Maybe if you guys hold tight there will be a deal from somewhere else soon, if you keep checking places that are still stocking either the Air 1, or the Air 2 in 32/128 all are discontinued models.

iPad Air 2 £200?!!!
God what **** is that guy eating, I'll buy one for every room!

Incorrect. I have one and bought one for this price. The iPad air 2 128gb size is not being made anymore to make way for the iPad Pro. Currys had reduced clearance and then a 50% off all clearance sale a few weeks ago. You may find some clearance of models still to come in some places, as although Apple no longer sale these, I do see some places still selling them at full price. Currys have sold out now though and the 50% off clearance has ended. The store I saw them in had about twenty of them. But they were all gone a few days later. I bought 2.

If you look on Apple's website they recently stopped doing the Air 1, this is why this deal is cheap. The Air 2 is now also only done in 16gb or 64gb, they got rid of the 32 and the 128 (The sizes of the pro), so they have been sold of as clearance by some companies and I guess because Currys had a 50% off all clearance sale, got lucky.

Check your facts before you accuse someone of eating **** ;)

You think I am crazy? I have one sitting on my desk right now! It was nationwide, I was told there was stock all over, but they sold out that day.
Thanks to Op, got one from West Bromwich, had £21 also in Tesco clubcard vouchers, so it was £202! Not bad price. The guy at store looked puzzled when asked about it and had to fetch it.

It says 100% tested so it must have the original touch sensor.

Looks less risk than an ebay buy at a similar price. The company has been operating a decade or more.

In all seriousness I got a refurbished air from them. The repair was terrible.
Massive gap on one side of the unit and it kept resetting itself.
Battery died completely with no charging possible after 2 days and when It did charge it wasnt updating the percentages right.

I bought it because of the company and all the good deals they have here. But as per my above comment you should have seen the guy at the genius bars face when I brought it too him with double serial numbers. One was for a white unit while the one I was shipped was grey.

I work as an tablet, laptop and phone refurbisher. You need engineers with real skill these days to repair these items properly. You'll rarely get genuine parts too. Fortunately where I work we have engineers with excellent skills in repairing these items. You also have to deal with liquid damaged stock too.

A typical decent engineer will be able to replace ICs on the main board, including the very common U2 IC charging fault on Apple products. Typically the engineer must be able to work through mainboard schematics. These types of repairs require a microscope or equipment such as Tagarno usb 1080p magnifier.

The problem is too many engineers are useless and have learnt from YouTube and haven't been taught properly. They won't even know what a rectifier or MOSFET is, basic stuff.

Refurbished units are usually obvious I'm surprised he even got that far!

As others have said though, the only refurbished iPads worth getting are the ones from Apple - otherwise, just don't do it. This company did the iPad Air 1st gen 'refurbs' as well and they basically buying written-off/non-working stock (e.g. what Envirofone, Mazuma, etc, would consider 'non-working') for cheap, slapping a third-party digitizer on it (which is the only kind you can buy) - probably an LL Trader branded one and selling it as a 'tested refurbished' model. It's a false economy. If you are on a budget (and fair enough, who of us aren't), then buy a 'used' iPad - e.g. one that has been used/second-hand but never repaired and you'll likely be fine.

It's not even as though these are like the phones where you can remove the screws and they pop open, these things are glued and you need heat guns or bags to get the glass off, it's obvious they will never go back on right again.
Get a generation two. Cheaper price and the only advantage had by the third generation is a finger print reader.

Clik iPad Air 2 Folio Case (Navy, Blue or Purple) - FREE C&C £1.99 @ Argos

Posted many times before
Just collected mine from Cromer, Norfolk and it was £1.49 so even more of a bargain. Fits perfectly but I can see where people are coming from with the corners snapping off as you do need to be a bit careful when fitting it. Switches off and on OK when shutting and opening the case.
I bought 2 of these (one blue and one purple) a few months ago. I've a mini 2 and it fits perfect. It's withstood numerous drops onto hard floor, carpet and even the patio with no damage. The auto sleep/wake function works fine on mine. The best case I've had for an iPad so far.
I got one of these when they were posted last time, they are rubbish the first one cracked in 3 of the 4 corners so I took it back and the second one cracked in 2 corners it's like the case is slightly to small and the assistant at Argos said that they had quite a few back with exactly the same problem. And where did they get £20 from for the original price oO
Thanks. Reserved

Logitech Logi Create iPad Pro 12.9 Keyboard £79.99 @ amazon

Usually £109.99 Same price at John Lewis as well by the looks of it. I have had the iPad Smart Keyboard and this to me is better. Especially as it's back lit.

Price back up to £109.99 at Currys and £98 at Amazon.

Still £79.99 at John Lewis (with 2 year warranty): http://www.johnlewis.com/store/logitech-create-backlit-keyboard-case-for-12-9-ipad-pro-black/p2299340?navAction=jump&_requestid=23965537
Also same price at Currys:
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/tablet-accessories/tablet-cases-and-keyboards/logitech-create-ipad-pro-12-9-keyboard-case-black-10141012-pdt.html

I've had both this and the Apple Smart Keyboard. At £60 less, this is now a no-brainer. It's VERY nice to type on and the backlit keys are a huge bonus. The downsides? It's heavier (though far more protective) than the Apple version and there have been reports the metal wristrest can scratch the iPad screen. I have a glass screen protector on mine and haven't seen any damage.

People complain about the weight/bulk of this, but bear in mind it's not just a keyboard, it's a complete case. The Apple equivalent offers no back protection and the official Silicone Case is £65 (!!!), bringing the Apple equivalent to £205. oO For full protection with excellent backlit keys, £80 suddenly seems like a bargain.
Have this; good price but heavy and not all that protective but does have good keyboard- be warned it's heavy and chunky!

Blurb for anyone who isn't aware of the game:
Dr. Fred’s mutated purple tentacle is about to take over the world, and only you can stop him!
Originally released by LucasArts in 1993 as a sequel to Ron Gilbert’s ground breaking Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle is a mind-bending, time travel, cartoon puzzle adventure game in which three unlikely friends work together to prevent an evil mutated purple tentacle from taking over the world!
Now, over twenty years later, Day of the Tentacle is back in a remastered edition that features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music and sound effects (which the original 90s marketing blurb described as ‘zany!’).
Players are able to switch back and forth between classic and remastered modes, and mix and match audio, graphics and user interface to their heart’s desire. We’ve also included a concept art browser, and recorded a commentary track with the game’s original creators Tim Schafer, Dave Grossman, Larry Ahern, Peter Chan, Peter McConnell and Clint Bajakian.
Day of the Tentacle was Tim Schafer’s first game as co-project lead, and a much beloved cult classic! This special edition has been lovingly restored and remade with the care and attention that can only come from involving the game's original creators. It’s coming to Windows, OSX, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in March 2016!

For anyone who isn't aware of the game?!?

They shouldn't even play it if they don't know what it is!

oO:p
bought this already on GOG but just bought it again. Love it!
Great game when it originally came out. Good see its been revamped and released again. Heat OP.

Is this in-store as I can't find online?
I Have the smaller Juice Weekender and it charges my iPhone 6 at least twice from its 8400mah. So at this a price the more powerful one is a good buy.
I got one of these last time they were on offer, if you can get past the pink (I have a daughter to blame) then it's a great bit of kit. Comes with a draw string bag to hide it in touch which helps.

Perfect price.

My iPad pro 32GB Wifi C grade arrived today, if you hold it in the sunlight you can just see some light scratches on the back. Hold it in normal light and you cannot see any marks at all. 5 months warranty left on it. £460 for this is for me an excellent price as I got a decent amount for my iPad Air.

Unfortunately I missed out on the earlier deals but in truth I wouldn't use 128gb (I barely used the 16 of my older iPad) neither would I be using 4G and want the extra weight of that device.

Thanks for highlighting this OP

Bought silver this week thanks to this link Grade B. Arrived special delivery by1pm delivery. As expected did not come with own box or accessories but purchased Apple lightning charge cab;e £6.99. It is spotless, looks new. Plugged into apple.com, the guide is this has over a month of the complimentary 90 day phone help left and warranty expires 16/5/2017, so less than 2 months old. Unbelievable 520 compared to 799 (which I wouldn't have paid fankly). If anyone wants the overpriced Apple Pencil for slightly less overpriced £35 (Grade A) have a look at Cex - they have loads. I ordered one again thanks to a deal on here. Thanks for the heads up.
