So you're going to connect your phone/ipad/laptop to the stick without enabling WiFi? I honestly don't know if your trolling or you genuinely can't figure this one out... Like I said, it's really not difficult to understand, I don't know why you're struggling so much

When did I say I wasn't going to enable wifi on my phone? You're clearly reading between the lines...

You initially said it can't be used on a plane. Why did you write that? You're clearly trolling or you're not very tech-savvy.

Can this be used on a plane? Thanks
No since it requires WiFi
? It doesn't 'require' wifi... it broadcasts its own wifi..
If your device doesn't have WiFi capabilities, it won't be able to connect to the USB - It's not a hard concept to grasp...
That really wasn't answering the first question "Can it be used on a plane" - You said no because it uses wifi...
The stick broadcasts it's own wifi signal, which your device connects to. So it can be used on a plane, I was questioning the legalities of doing this.
So think you're getting your knickers in a twist!

I've used a wifi hard drive on a plane and didn't have any problems. You are not meant to use during takeoff or landing but once in air then wifi can be turned on, when did you last fly ?

A note on these btw, I bought 2 and they both don't work in win10 machines as USB memory sticks, they connect and disconnect constantly so the only way to get stuff on them from PC is to take sdcard out and fill it from a card reader... anyone else have that issue ? Tried 2 pc's 1 laptop with 2 different airstash's.

Cheers mate. I did fly recently and I recall them telling us to not use mobiles (in airplane mode) during take-off and landing. I was just unsure about using your own personal wifi network during the flight! Thanks for clearing that up.

These have been out less than week ?

The pros have been out less than a week ?
Tell that to Fenwicks then - I've seen them displayed there for the past 6 months
Ive been reading about them for a year

I've read all the comments here and it's clear you are wrong Phil. The model advertised here has only just been released. You appear ignorant to that fact when trying to suggest a store has been selling them for months. Stop being a judgemental d1ck and just apologise for being wrong spactard.
I used laptops direct a couple of weeks ago. Monitor arrived, noticed the tiniest of marks on the plastic frame. they offered to replace or knock £50 off the price. I took the £50.

I'd probably use them again to be fair!

John lewis price matched this for me, info below.
Thank you for your price match request for the 2017 Apple iPad Pro 10.5", A10X Fusion, iOS10, iOS10, Wi-Fi, 64GB, Space Grey.
I have looked into your request and will be happy to match the price of £604.92 for the 2017 Apple iPad Pro 10.5", A10X Fusion, iOS10, iOS10, Wi-Fi, 64GB, Space Grey (product code 86060811) seen at Laptops Direct.
This price match includes the £4.95 Laptops Direct charges for standard delivery.

Are you taking out the Added care with John Lewis ?

I'm not sure on the price for the 10.5 inch model, but for the 12.9 inch it was £70 for 3 years accidental damage cover, which doesn't seem that bad when you consider Apple charge £89 for only 2 years.

Oh and you should do the decent thing and apologise to people for getting confused and getting defensive.
As pompous as the rest.
Mountains and molehills spring to mind.
Along with whining and delusions of importance too
Tell me how long the "iPad Pro" has been out, then ?
A week ? Or do you then split hairs and then start wailing like a 5 year old that it is JUST the smaller one, also named the "Pro" ?
Give it a rest and by all means pay over the odds.
Your loss

Why you asking me when the iPad Pro was released ? I already explained all the release dates and sizes. But I will tell you again if you genuinely want to know.

Anyone who even thinks iOS and is a proper OS go in the same sentence should be institutionalised. iOS is a mobile phone OS, no matter how many tweaks you make of it. Until Apple release a proper 2 in 1 using OSX, then they are using the name to sell to the sheep. And as I said before, they wont do this for a while as it will break into their very lucrative Macbook market.

Look at the 'Smart Keyboard' alone, you can see the iPad Pro has nothing to do with a professional system. No trackpad, limited stand angle, and quite frankly it looks like some £20 Chinese Bluetooth keyboard, hell its not even backlit. A professional will be using a product designed for professional use from the ground up, not some larger adaptation of a glorified Internet browser. ;)

Look at innovation like the Surface Studio, a product designed from the ground up for professionals, or Surface Pro, Surface Book, all three are innovative, not some half a**ed attempt at a large tablet and slapping a Pro label on it and expecting people to buy into the farse. Sorry but Apple has not been innovating since Steve died, more and more they are playing catch-up... a bit like Intel vs AMD at the moment.

Flea

why on earth would anyone want to pay that for a tablet?
that thing is a beast, more powerful than many full size laptops..
add the KB and new iOS 11 features like file management etc and you got a laptop replacement.
also the 12.9" is more for artists and illustrators.
calling it just a tablet..the way you call £100 tablets is abit silly.
Not full OS so it cant even really be compare, even assuming its more powerful than many laptop(which is highly doubtful) its useless as it cant run computer software, so its not a laptop replacement especially as it doesn't even have a keyboard. anything Pro 2 can run will run on original Pro with no noticeable difference in real life.
KB cost another £170, pen cost another £100. a £1000 laptop with I5/7 will leave it in the dust in every way.
IOS 11 will be available every IOS device, and Ipad pro 2 is a tablet whether its £100 or £9999 or it can shoot out rainbow.
So the only argument is its for artists and illustrators which i am not a expert on. but consider its running IOS, it will be a pain to import/export between different program. and i reckon a graphic tablet half the price will do just as good
iOS 11 is a major upgrade in terms of productivity and functionality.
so have to wait until this fall then judge it.

I myself criticised iOS for not being even close to a full OS and looked at it mainly as a consumption focus environment, but what they showed at keynote impressed me.

I will never pay full price for that KB but they can be bought on sales for half that price few months after launch.
also competitors sell the KB separately for similar money so can't just blame Apple.

I'd say 12.9 is massive and mainly suits artist illustrators etc,the 10.5 has same horse power and specs and cheaper and better choice for most.
I've seen the 256GB 10.5" for around £630 already which is not too bad.

The problem with Windows Surface is while it runs full OS and better as laptop,it lacks in tablet mode and so inferior in that form, also battery is much shorter and a real problem also many hardware/software bugs and issues.

there is no clear winner and all such products are still imperfect and expensive.

The 120hz screen is worth the price alone if you ask me. It's a huge difference over everything else.

What would be the Ann Droid equivalent? eg large 10-12 screen and other "decent specs" ?

Even though its getting on a bit, a safer bet may be the Galaxy Tab S2 from CeX. (At least you have some sort of warranty.) I picked up mine for £190 and its on Android 7 and has a fingerprint scanner. As its getting on a bit now, there are custom roms available. Battery life isn't great but that's the price you pay for the lightest 8" tablet.
I would suggest the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 instead. Although it's a bit older it has a higher spec than the Tab S2. LineageOS 14.1 runs very well.
I see where your coming from OP. If you want a 16:9 screen the Tab S 8.4 is a good bet. Is this the SD800/2GB ram tablet?
SM-T700 3gb ram version

Nice. That extra gig of ram will make all the difference. Would you recommend the 2GB version though? (I probably wouldn't.)

mine didn't come with the purple floor pads though so this is a really great deal

For £199 they're doing the 32GB version. Surely that's worth the extra tenner if you fancy this deal?
I don't think it's a deal so voted cold. It's been that price for ages as well and honestly now it's dated.

I got one refurbished, which was just a return and basically new, from Argos eBay for £179 2 or 3 years ago.
I can go and find proof if needed.
1 year warranty included just like with Apple.
Got it for less than what Apple is charging years later...

Apparently IOS 11 will be available for all 64-bit devices, iPad mini 2 is 64-bit, at least this is what I read.

Why do people buy from places like very littlewoods currys etc and only get one year warranty ??? I bought mine from john lewis (was delivered next day ) with a 3 year warranty and a 3 year accidental warranty for only £80 more and thats for the 3 years not £80 a year , i got the large ipad pro and the screens alone are about £300 to replace no brainer really
Because John Lewis doesn't offer buy now pay later and some people don't want to /can't fork out all that money in one go.

Great price! Went for the 2017 iPad myself as I didn't see that the screen was that much worse and it'll likely be supported for longer (and I got 4% student discount).
How did you get a student discount?

Apple do 4% student discount on all iPads. I'm not actually a student anymore but have one of the NUS graduate ones which Apple accept in store.

Ahh, not possible:

"The Guitar Hero Live console controller will work with any console. The wireless USB receivers, however, are designed to work specifically with one console and cannot be transferred to another. You can tell what system the USB receiver is designed for by the color of the button on the end of the receiver:

Gray button: PlayStation 3 or WiiU
Blue button: PlayStation 4
Green button: Xbox 360
Black button: Xbox One
The console controller will not work with the mobile version of the game.

The Bluetooth version of the Guitar Hero Live controller will only work with the mobile version of the game and will not work with any console version of the game."

Do the guitars for e.g. Wii U work with iPad etc. if you have the game for iPad?
How do they communicate with the iPad, via inbuilt bluetooth?
Wii U etc. use what I presume are bluetooth dongles.

If it works, could be a neat idea to buy one copy for a console, then another one of these for Apple devices.
Then you have two guitars but can play on both.

I bought two Wii U copies when they were £15 at Toys R Us.

I've been looking for a Android equivalent to the iPad pro (size-wise). Can anyone recommend one?
If you mean the 9.7 version then the Samsung s2 is probably the best value. It's dropped to £319 at the moment due to the new s3 coming out, but imho the new s3 is not worth 599.

Also Tesco are doing £20 off electricals over 150 using a code, meaning it's 299.

The s2 has hdmi output (via an Mhl cable) and a memory card slot, making it more useful than this xiaomi fir me....

No looking for the larger tablets.

MediTek CPU = Cold

Something like the 625 wouldnt support the 2k screen, which would stop this being an iPad clone, so your point is invalid, they needed to use an MT to support the resolution

Regarding Resale Vale, I know Cex are happy to trade in Xiaomi phones and Tablets and seem to give decent prices
I think it depends on which idiot serves you first. I go to Asia quite often and tend to buy most of my phones there. I stopped trying to sell the old ones to CeX when they refused to take a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (that was in mint condition). The reason they cited was that the chinese stickers near the battery under the cover were suspicious. I'd purchased the phone from Broadway in Hong Kong (its basically like Currys/PC World).
When I said yeah cos I bought it in Asia, they were like oh thats why then, as if all phones from there were fakes. Ignorant.
Wish I could afford to do that, Asian prices for these are so much lower and no import fusses
sure? i got many of tablets with different adroid, even dual boot tablets, but they not even close to ipads with battery life, quality and perfomance. Of course i am not comparing surface. MIUI is ****/

Thats your opinion, I happen to like MIUI, so I buy their stuff, as do tens of millions of people, so to call it **** straight up is a bit narrow minded.

If you like paying twice the price for a very well optimised iOS, then go ahead.

But you are literally contradicting every review out there, the Mi Pad 3 has a 1700mA bigger battery, and takes the same time to charge as a 4900mA battery iPad.

In short, you're talking rubbish. You sound like Trump, 'we have the best tablets, blue ones, yellow ones, gold ones, yes gold'

I got JL to price match for anyone interested.

From what I've read if you've got a Pro or an Air 2, it's definitely not worth changing to. We've had a Mini 2 for the last few years, so for us it's the perfect replacement for the house iPad, for a reasonable price.

Debated the Pro, but have no real reason to utilise the extra specs. I guess it's like the iPhone SE of the iPad domain.
batemansxxxb
This isn't the Pro,it's likely to be the Air 2 under a different name

Wow, you don't say, eh? Considering the iPad Pro has the word Pro in it, and this doesn't.

This is simply iPad and is effectively an iPad Air combined with the A9 chip. It replaces the Air line.
This isn't the Pro,it's likely to be the Air 2 under a different name
The screen is not as nice on these newer iPads. It's a good price for the latest model but I would highly recommend an Air 2 over one of these if you can find a decent priced one.
jalp99uk
Not sure why this is going cold. I am an android adept and find this quite tempting. Considering that the Samsung equivalent Tab S2 is currently at 369 for a similar spec. Since when has apple become the cheap option?

Expensive for an old (albeit still usable at the moment o/s wise)

The iPad is a global icon. Its striking appearance is matched by streamlined processing power, excellent technical support and a dazzling array of apps and games. Customers can get hold of the latest version of this cutting edge tablet by checking out the iPad discounts on offer at HotUKDeals today.

Apple’s iPad has become part of everyday life for millions of people in all corners of the world. Good-looking, easy to use and powerful, the iPad is the world’s most famous tablet, and Apple regularly releases new, improved varieties onto the global market.

The Evolution of Apple´s iPadapple ipad pro ipad air ipad mini

The rise of the iPad has been astonishingly fast. The tablet was only released in 2010, but by 2015 over 250 million had been sold worldwide. This was no doubt helped by the device’s stylish and modern looks, but the major attraction is the iPad’s ability to stream video, play music, run games and surf the web, making it an all-in-one entertainment centre.

After the original launch in 2010, Apple have released four separate “generations” of iPads, culminating in the iPad Pro, the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 4. This buyer’s guide will offer advice to anyone looking to purchase one of the latest models, but older versions remain popular and may be suitable for people with modest computing needs.

What Different Kinds of iPad Are Available?

Since the iPad was launched in 2010, there have been several new generations. Each one has seen a leap forward in terms of computing power and functionality. These included the original iPad, which was succeeded by the iPad 2 in 2011. After that (confusingly) came a new iPad model in early 2012 (not called the iPad 3) which was succeeded by the iPad 4, in late 2012. None of the earlier iPad models are still being produced.

They were replaced by the iPad Air and the iPad Mini. The iPad Air was unveiled in 2013 as a mid-size model with a 64-bit processor. In 2014, this was succeeded by the iPad Air 2, with a big speed and memory upgrade. In 2015, the iPad Air 2 was joined by the iPad Pro in 2015 and an update of the iPad Pro in early 2016, all are still in production.

The first iPad Mini was introduced in 2012, and was followed by the much more powerful iPad Mini 2 in 2013, the iPad Mini 3 in 2014 and the iPad Mini 4 in 2015.

As of 2016, there are three basic forms of iPad to choose from – the flagship and top-of-the-range iPad Pro, the slimline iPad Air 2 and the compact but powerful iPad Mini 4. All of them have their particular strong points, so take care to find the model that meets your individual needs.

The iPad Pro

The iPad Pro is the most advanced model in the iPad series with an A9X chip with 64-bit architecture and an M9 motion coprocessor that competes capably with modern desktops and high-end laptops. It comes with a 12.9-inch screen with 2048 x 2732 pixels or the newer one with a 9.7-inch screen with 2048 x 1536 pixels, providing a large enough space to read text comfortably and play video games. It weighs in at just 1.6lbs (around 725g at 12.9-inch) respectively 0.96lbs/444g in the 9.7-inch version and has the fastest ever iOS system with 4GB of RAM at 12.9-inch and 2GB at 9.7-inch. The primary camera of the 12.9-inch version is equipped with 8MP, the secondary with 1.2MP, videos can be shot at [email protected] fps. The 9.7-inch version offers a rear camera with 12MP and a front camera with 5MP.

Innovations featured in the iPad Pro include the Split View tool, enabling users to run two or more apps at the same time, which could come in handy for a diverse range of users, from accountants to video editors. It has also been designed to collaborate with the new Apple Pencil (see the accessories section below), as well as the firm’s Smart Keyboard. These features make the iPad Pro a great tool for anyone who works in the creative industries, or for casual artists, film-makers or photographers.

The size of the screen makes the iPad Pro suitable for watching TV or movies, which is also enhanced by the device’s two stereo speakers and the clarity and resolution provided by the Retina display. It’s also good for being entertained on the move, thanks to its well balanced feel.

The iPad Pro comes in three colours – gold, space grey and silver, and you can purchase 32GB, 128GB or 256GB models, depending on your need to store data. Overall, it’s a unique fusion of a conventional PC and a tablet – and will be a godsend for artists and remote workers who need power and portability in one device.

The iPad Air 2

The iPad Air was introduced as a slender, lightweight alternative to the traditional iPad, and it provides a hefty amount of processing power in the iPad Air.

The iPad Air 2 comes with an A8X processor and 2GB of RAM, which makes it capable of switching between apps quickly and smoothly. The 9.7-inch display is a little smaller than the bigger iPad Pro, but is still big enough for most people to read blocks of text or watch movies without straining their eyes. Streaming video is also made easier thanks to the 2048 x 1536 Retina display, which includes specially laminated glass to reduce glare and make the picture more distinct. The rear camera has 8MP, the front camera is equipped with a resolution of 1.2MP.

The iPad Air 2 comes in the same choice of silver, space grey or gold as the iPad Pro, and buyers can choose from 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options. It’s a good all-rounder that suits news junkies who love to read the papers as much as it does TV streaming fans.

Buyers looking for a cheaper alternative to the Air 2 might also consider the discounted iPad Air. The original Air is slightly slower than its most recent successor, and you can’t multi-task seamlessly on it. It doesn’t feature a laminated Retina screen and memory capacity is limited – but it’s affordable and still a useful tablet for watching video, surfing the web and checking social media.

The iPad Mini 4

The most compact version of the iPad is Apple’s iPad Mini 4. This compact little beast is powered by an A8 processor and features 2GB of RAM. These specs are impressive for a tiny tablet, but make it more sluggish and less powerful than the Air or Pro.

However, the Mini 4 does incorporate Split View multitasking and all of the other benefits that iOS 9 brings. It has a Retina display with a laminated surface and a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels that look virtually indistinguishable from the iPad Air 2. Moreover, it’s just 8-inches tall and weighs 300g, and is easily the most portable iPad around.

The iPad Mini 4 comes in the same colour set – grey, silver and gold – and is available with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage.

As with the iPad Air 2, you can save money by purchasing an earlier model of the iPad Mini series. The still manufactured iPad Mini 2 was released in 2013 and doesn’t boast the RAM or processing speed of the Mini 4. On the other hand, it does have a 2048 x 1536 screen and is a good choice for casual gamers and web browsers.

Key Features of the iPad Range

Camera and Graphics Tools

For many people, the graphics capture and processing capabilities of the iPad range are its most attractive feature, and the iSight camera is at the heart of this feature. The iSight camera is featured in all of the models discussed here and is able to capture both crystal-clear photos and 1080p HD video footage. It’s a dream tool for backpackers and holidaymakers who love to capture the moment.

Along with the camera itself, iPads also feature advanced chips in the A8 and A9 range that have image signal processors built-in. These allow for efficient facial recognition, helping to keep people in focus when taking your snaps.

Another feature of the iPad range is the FaceTime HD camera – which allows users to speak to other people anywhere in the world. The most recent generation of iPads has taken this popular feature and refined it, offering better resolution and performance in places with low light levels.

Photographers and movie makers will also benefit from the laminated Retina display on the latest iPads. The reduced glare and clarity of Retina allows them to function as exceptional view finders when setting up a shot.

iOS 9 also includes advanced time-lapse photography tools that can be used with the iPad Air 2 or the iPad Pro. All that the user needs to do is set up a shot and press the record button – a great tool for nature lovers in particular.

Processing Power

The CPUs of the iPad range are one of its trademark strengths. All three of the models available have slightly different features, and the level of processing power descends from the iPad Pro to the iPad Air and down to the iPad Mini.

The iPad Pro comes equipped with an A9X processor, featuring a 64-bit architecture which puts the tablet in the same league as modern desktops. The A9X processor departs from many conventional chips with its high level of energy efficiency, ensuring that the iPad Pro is cheap to run and good for using on the move. The Pro also features a graphics processing chip known as Metal, which has been designed to deliver console-style gaming.

The iPad Air 2 features a slightly less powerful A8X second generation chip, which also features 64-bit architecture and seeks to compete with medium-level desktops. The A8X processor is 40 percent faster than the A7 chip used in the original iPad Air and has 2.5 times the graphics processing ability. The Air also includes Metal, which makes it a good choice for gamers.

The iPad Mini 4 includes an A8 chip, which is also second-generation 64-bit hardware. Again, the A8 represents a quantum leap forward compared to earlier Minis, with 5.2 times the speed of the Mini 2 processor and 60% faster graphics processing capability than the older A7 chip.

Battery life and charging

Apples iPads are mobile tablet devices, so there is no escaping the need to charge their batteries every now and then, despite their relatively long battery lives.

The iPad Pro features a 58.5-watt rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which delivers up to 10 hours of web browsing, video streaming or music. The battery is easy to charge by simply using a USB port or power adapter.

The Air 2 features a 27.3-watt battery (also lithium-polymer) and delivers the same 10 hours of use, while the iPad Mini 4 includes a 19.1-watt battery to achieve the same battery life.

iOS 9 – the Nerve Centre of the iPad Series

All of Apple’s iPads utilise the firm’s famous iOS operating system, which allows them to connect to services like the Apple Store, iTunes and AppleTV, as well as multi-player gaming services and other streaming sites.

iOS has several useful features that set it apart from Android alternatives. One of the best known is Siri, an online assistant who provides suggestions relating to what content you might appreciate and how to get the most out of your device. Apple claims that the latest generation of iPads has refined Siri, making her input more relevant and “smarter” than before.

The iOS on the newest iPads is also geared toward multi-tasking. Features like Slide Over, Split View and Picture in Picture are designed to allow users to flick between their apps and run audio, graphical or video editing software seamlessly.

The iOS system is dynamically updated by Apple as and when new versions are launched, and there is no need for users to do this manually. All updates are free and can be downloaded by iPads as soon as they are available.

How to Use Your iPad For Entertainment

For many home users or people on the move, their iPad will primarily be an entertainment tool, and all three varieties of iPad have features to enhance the audio-visual or gaming experience.

The most well-known entertainment feature is access to iTunes – Apple’s store for everything from eBooks and movies to albums and games. Finding iTunes via iOS is easy, as is purchasing and downloading your favourite content.

Apple has also made several entertainment accessories available for their iPad range, including their Earpod headphones and wireless speakers. Other firms like Beats By Dre have been licensed to sell their products via the Apple Store as well, adding high quality headphones and speakers to the mix.

The heart of the entertainment experience is the range of apps available for the iPad. The choice is extraordinarily wide these days, but well-known streaming sites include BBC iPlayer, Netflix, the ITV Hub and Sky+ – all of which make their regular programming available to stream on iPads. Apple has also launched their AppleTV service, which features original content, the assistance of Siri to find recommended content and the ability to link your iPad to an HD TV.

Gaming on the iPad is also becoming increasingly popular and viable, thanks to the technology included with the iPad Pro and iPad Air 2. Every month sees more console-quality action and sports games becoming available, alongside more basic Flappy Birds-style offerings. Accessories are also appearing – as well as apps that allow you to use an iPhone as a joypad to play games on your iPad.

What Else Can I Use My iPad For?

iPads are not pure entertainment devices, and individuals and businesses are finding more uses for them all the time. For example, an app called HomeKit allows iPad users to control aspects of their homes such as lighting, appliances and security locks.

Health apps allow iPad users to monitor their diet, heart rate, sleeping patterns and blood pressure, and link people to expert medical information. At the same time, iPads are becoming widely used in education, both as teaching tools for teachers to get their message across, and as homework aids for pupils.

Apple has also launched a collaboration with IBM to produce MobileFirst, a networking solution for businesses that puts all employees in contact with each other (and clients) via their iPads.

What Kind of Accessories Are Available For the iPad?

The Smart Keyboard

One of the most technically impressive accessories for the iPad Pro is Apple’s Smart Keyboard. Made out of strong, flexible polymers, the Smart Keyboard is designed to unfold or be folded up to pack away neatly. When unfurled, it is only 4mm thick, yet is as accurate and stable as a normal keyboard. Unlike normal keyboards, it’s also resistant to spillages via a specially coated surface. Unfortunately, the Smart Keyboard hasn’t been released for the iPad Air or Mini range, but it adds a new string to the iPad Pro’s bow.

Apple Pencil

If you intend to use your iPad Pro for creative tasks, the Apple Pencil could be revolutionary. Essentially a cutting edge touchpad stylus, the Apple Pencil has an extremely responsive feel, with very little lag between touching it on the screen and an image appearing. That’s because the iPad Pro senses the Pencil 240 times every second.

With the Apple Pencil, artists can draw thick or slender lines by altering how hard they press, and they can apply shading by tilting the pen towards or away from the screen. It’s potentially a great way to take down sketches while on holiday, or for architects to draft their plans on site. It’s also very practical, with the ability to charge by plugging straight into the iPad Pro.

Cases and Covers

If you want to keep your iPad in top condition, it is vital to store it and transport it safely. For protecting the screen while you move around, the Smart Cover is a good option. It doubles as a keyboard stand for typing and automatically turns off the device when not in use, and it looks great too.

For more heavy duty protection, there are cases available for all forms of iPad, from brands like Logitech, Acme, STM and Felix. You can find Moleskine cases, brightly coloured designs and shoulder bags with compartments that exactly fit your iPad Model. If you intend to use an iPad on the move, it makes sense to buy a specialist case, instead of storing it in a backpack to minimise the risk of damage.

What If I Have Problems With My iPad?

iPads can be as temperamental and complex as any tablet or laptop, which is where Apple Support comes in handy. Direct support for iPad queries can be accessed on the Apple website, including a Community Answers section which draws on the expertise of your fellow users.

If it turns out that your problem can’t be resolved, you can contact Apple UK and send your iPad to them for diagnostics and repair (at a cost). The firm has a solid reputation for customer care, more so than other tablet manufacturers, so you should be in good hands. Alternatively, you could take your device down to a nearby Apple Store and see if staff can resolve the issue while you wait.

If you do need to repair your iPad, it’s important to note that any data on the device will be erased – so back up your photos or videos. The Cloud could be a good way to do this, and apps are available to transfer files easily.

How Can I Buy A New iPad?

One thing that people often note about Apple products is their price. Apple charge higher prices for their computers, phones and iPads because of their reputation for quality. Although, there aren’t many large discounts on Apple products, looking around for discounts often pays before making a purchase.

If you want to save as much money as possible, consider going for slightly older models like the original iPad Air or the iPad Mini 2, which are regularly discounted by electronics sellers. Look out for flash sales all year-round, as well as regular bargains on offer on November’s Black Friday or the New Year sales. Offers can be found from well-known UK merchants like Argos, Currys, John Lewis, Amazon and Sainsburys – along with the Apple Store itself.

HotUKDeals is the ideal place to find savings on an iPad whatever model you desire. All discounts are posted as they appear on our dedicated iPad page.
