Great price for the Nokia Lumia 920. It is available instore at EE for £399.99 on pay as you go for Orange as long as you top-up £10. You also get a free wireless charger and free WESC headphones.

I've got one of these and they are really good. Knocks the socks off the HTC Sensation I'm replacing it with. Build quality is excellent, and despite my track record of scratching the screen within a hour of getting a new phone it's sill mark free. The charger is a redemption offer (or at least mine is).

It is locked to the EE, Orange and T-Mobile networks, but seems to also work on providers that run on those networks also. It doesn't work with o2 though.

more poontless boring posts for windows phones.Hkw many more do we have to see.Next thing itll be a bundle deal with a blackberry playbook. This has to be the most ugliest boring user interface on the face of the planet.Loved how borinh the 820 was when i tried it, the software looked like a kids toy.Wait 3 month and it will be half price.Sit,back and see who takes the bait first.

Oh How I missed your razor sharp wit and insightful knowledge. Do try to post more.

Does this work with O2 sim card or giffgaff can someone try as I just bought one for £520...!!!

no

I have a playbook... it's a very nice build quality for the price point very long in the tooth now but only if you want apps...; buts that's gonna change next year... who know's if they'll even run that well :p
#46
I can also verify that O2 SIM is a no-go

thanks for checking... apparently you can pay orange £20 to unlock them, but wonder if you can get em to do that instore or do you have to wait 3 months :S?

Think they might tell me where to go ;)

Such friendly banter on here

£409 - the 920 is dropping in price quite quickly. So it is pretty cheap now and worth a punt on PAYG. I will wait and see where the price ends up by spring. My plan was to get a 920/8X/Ativ S then as a second phone to my GNex. However, honestly, unless you really really need more storage than 16 gig or are a paid up WP fan boy I can't see how it is possible to look beyond the N4. I was going to skip this itteration of the Nexus but at £279 I wont be able to resist.

Oh and weight can be an issue. That is the reason I passed on my note to the missus - it was so bloody unwieldy when running or in shorts and loose clothing and the 920 is even heavier. This could be an issue for some.

Yeh Im getting it delivered from Clove tmw, £110 is massive premium just to be able to use it on GiffGaff :(

Just to confirm, none of the 3 EE stores in York are selling this on PAYG/"Sim Free"... contract only.. and most didn't have it in anyway!
#53
I for life can't get through to any of my local stores useless! Might pop out to Westfield and take a look.

Been to EE in Bristol and they didn't have any to look at. The launch seems a shambles to me.
#55
Got mine from one in Stevenage this morning if it helps anyone....they had a few in stock

I just drove 20 odd mile after being told on the phone that one store had it in stock and were selling it on pay as you go.

Got to the store, told the fella there that I called earlier, then he said they actually had none in stock for pay as you go.

EE truly are an awful company to deal with.

None. See what you can do is just ignore deals that don't interest you, just scroll on past. Honestly, nothing bad will happen, give it a try. Especially as they seem to upset you so much...

Such a shame they did the exclusivity with this phone, if it was completely unlocked Nokia would probably have my money by now...

EE sucks though. Their 3G is slow and 4G isn't even as fast as 3's or Voda's 3G.
£400 for a phone that's nothing compared to iPhone 5 is expensive.

32gb Iphone 5 - £600

So what you get for £200 extra?

higher res screen
larger screen
super sensitive screen - can use with gloves
far superior camera
stereo speakers and recording
Gorilla glass screen
NFC
wireless charging
Covers more LTE bands
Nokia Maps - the best on a smartphone
Nokia Muscic - free music for a year

plus its £200 cheaper and you get a wireless charger and Headphones.

I think it's you with the overly expensive ornamental phone.
