Great price for the Nokia Lumia 920. It is available instore at EE for £399.99 on pay as you go for Orange as long as you top-up £10. You also get a free wireless charger and free WESC headphones.

I am genuinely oblivious to Windows phone, I had an Android now an iPhone. And there are things I like about both.

I really don't want a fanboy war I just want to know what the best features on Windows Phone is>? As I want to consider one on my next upgrade

more poontless boring posts for windows phones.Hkw many more do we have to see.Next thing itll be a bundle deal with a blackberry playbook. This has to be the most ugliest boring user interface on the face of the planet.Loved how borinh the 820 was when i tried it, the software looked like a kids toy.Wait 3 month and it will be half price.Sit,back and see who takes the bait first.
Welcome back. It's been too long. Thought you'd been banned. Sooo glad you're still here.
you know I'm sure your pointless trolling does more to convince people to try windows phone than you could imagine. Keep it coming, and those of us who've actually spent some time with the win os will keep laughing at you.

Well all the features are great but you could argue that other phones have similar features.

What really sold me on Windows Phone was the operating system, its so fluid and dynamic, its really a joy to use.

its be hard to persuade anyone from their phone preference, my best advice would be to have a go with a windows phone, feel it in your hands and have a play with the Operating system. Thats how you can really tell if your going to like the phone or not.

*I used to own an Android and iPhone.*

as replied to above - get in there and just try it...........

if you have the chance to borrow a phone for a few hours, even better

that way you can see just how speedy and simple the OS is - not to mention great social integration and loads of other simple to use features like great integrated mail and excellent photo uploading etc.

admittedly never been involved with iOS devices, other than having to sort my daughters iPod from time to time. i just don't like apple stuff.

but been heavily into android in my time.

now on WP and have been for nearly two years, starting off on a hacked HTC HD2.

two years on - still LOVE the OS, still feels fresh and great.

go for it.

I've had a previous WP7 phone for 18 months, have a Galaxy S3 at the moment and ipod touch & Ipad3 so am quite familiar with all 3 OS. As already said, WP is fast and slick. The live tiles kinda do what Widgets do on Android but only display info. You can't interact with them as touching them just opens the app. Having said that, it means that everything behaves the same so you won't have to re-learn things for different apps.

The main thing that wins me over on WP is integration of 3rd party services, the phonebook section and messaging. There will be things where people say that an app you have on android is missing from WP, but the chances are it isn;t needed because the functionality is baked into the OS already. eg, there's no need for shazam as the Bing search engine has music recognition built in.

Finally got my hands on this beauty. When they say they dont do pay as you go ask them to check their paper work. It took a long time for them find it but it worths it. Some stores are not aware of this. So make sure u insist. Got it with free headphones and wireless charger.thanks op :)

820 has a smaller screen and isn't HD. It also doesn't have the image stabiliser. BUT it has changeable back covers and a micro SD slot so the memory is expandable.

This demo gives a nice basic idea of how it all works but obviously is missing a great deal of functionality (eg the tiles are now resizable on the home screen(.

I think it's supposed to be an exclusive until at least the end of the year, but with a possibility of extension. So who knows...

Edit: Here, read this - http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2221754/nokia-lumia-920-to-remain-ee-exclusive-until-at-least-next-year
