About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
This isn't exactly a deal. But it is a good option for people. Sony are now allowing you to add funds to the PlayStation store by using your mobile phone credit
This is excellent for those on Pay as you go who have been wanting to get rid of their phone credit.
I had £200 credit to get rid of (no i didn't put the £200 on there myself) and now i can buy games using it.
-As far as i'm aware it works on all PAYG networks. (see below for updates)
-Can buy Games, movies and TV shows
-Minimum you can add is £5 (make sure you have over £5 as standard network charges apply to send the text to Sony)
-Limited to add £30 per day via phone credit.
-For pay monthly customers the charge will be added onto the bill. (tbh just use your card)
List of Supported networks: O2, Vodafone, Three, Orange, T-Mobile
EDIT: Does not work on Virgin, Giff Gaff or Tesco. Does work on Ovivo
Perfect way to get rid of unused credit. Or credit purchased with a handset. Or if you have a top up deal that gives you double back you can use that "free money" to buy PS games. Also you can buy sims off ebay with pre loaded credit for cheap and transfer the credit onto PSN,
Before buying £5 and £10 sims for 99p and £5, be sure to realise that you need to text "Y" to Sony to get the credit, this means that if you only have £5, you press Y, this may do the standard service charge of say 10p, therefore only have £4.90 left and will result in it failing.

You can only top-up T-Mobile and Orange SIMs by £1 in Payzone and EE shops, not online.
The minimum top-up for Orange SIMs in EE stores is 10p.
- copperspock
The margins varied dependant on cost per sim breakdown (historically)
Orange:
99p for £5 voucher (stackable) ~ 400% margin. Meaning your games would cost 20% of the stated value. - Now unavailable
99p for £10 voucher (rare & stackable) ~ 900% margin. Your games would cost 10% of the stated value. - Now unavailable, very rare
£5 for £10 voucher (stackable) ~ 100% margin. Your games would cost 50% of the stated value. - Now unavailable (unknown whether it still exists)
£2.99 for £5 (unknown if stackable) ~ 40% margin. Your games cost 60% of the stated value. - Unknown variables but it’s on eBay
T-Mobile:
As it was a single sim basis you had to top each one up with £1 thereby your margin shrinks.
99p for £5 (Preloaded) +£1 (top-up and effort required) ~ 150% Margin. Your games would cost 40% of the stated value. – You need to hunt for this one (it’s less attractive due to the effort and margin but if you look it might be available)
Free with £5 (Preloaded) +£1 (top-up and effort required) ~ 400% margin. Your games would cost 20% of the stated value. - Can't comment on the status of this one as people haven't been getting Sims (or if they had; it would be disabled)
I can only give you an estimated break down and haven’t factored in the costs of the texts to get the real margins. Also if you bought plus the costs needs to be weighed against the new value of the product which would be discounted by 10% (on the original stated value).
- AR2012
Also confirmed to work with Sainsbury's Mobile.

So you abuse them to make phone calls without paying. How does that make you genuine? The people on here getting them pay for £1 top-ups so we give T-Mobile money and not just abuse them giving us completely free money.
sainsburys mobile works. I got a coupon from the self serve till for a free sim card with £10 credit. Topped up my account tonight with a fiver and now left with £4.88. Minimum top up is a tenner, however till the end of the month they have an offer on where any free PAYG sim that is ordered online gets double credit on the first top up: phoneshopbysainsburys.co.uk/dou…-up
Awesome, just saw that thread. Coolest FS/FT thread ever.
hotukdeals.com/for…056
IIRC from this thread, you two wanted free SIM deals. Now you probably won't care, but if I didn't tell you, I would probably feel bad. So I'm going to tell you regardless, and you can decide for yourself...
FREE Nokia Lumia 530 (Brand new)
250 Mins, 5000 Texts and 500MB Internet
£27 Profit (via Quidco)
£0 per month now (it was £2.50 a few days ago).
You can get the deal through Mobiles.co.uk or e2save. It costs £7.50 a month, but you get £180 cashback via redemption. So it's free, basically with profit too. The companies are owned by Carphone Warehouse, which is itself owned by Dixons (Currys/PC World), so it's a huge company which is extremely unlikely to ever go into administration - as they just keep growing.
Sorry to blabber on, but I just wanted to let you guys know. If you want anymore details/links, let me know. Otherwise I will just keep quiet in future.

Parents giving kids mobile phone contracts deserve everything they get.
Plenty of cheap pay as you go options with free texts.
It's for people who have unused credit on their phone.
Ever purchased a phone and had to pay a £10 minimum top up?
Ever been on a pay as you go reward scheme which makes you top up every month?
Also you can buy preloaded sims with £10 credit off ebay for £5 and then transfer the money onto your PSN account and buy games saving you £5.
Well now you can put that money towards games rather than having it sit on your phone for eternity.
Please understand that i'm only posting this for those people on pay as you go. It's just like the retention deals which go hot on here. And they are available to an even less amount of people.
I'm sorry if you don't find this a good deal. Oh and i'm assuming it was you who reported this as spam and got it locked?

Errrr, welcome to that opinion but my Fibre connection with PlusNet I've downloaded all of this months content in about 4 hours. However, that was done at 4am - 8am. If you are one of these people that must have every item in the basket 10 seconds after they release them then it's no wonder it takes longer as demand is highest just after the content goes live. If you can wait to download it then it goes pretty fast.
Great deal this as I've got £15 of Vodafone credit I will never be using, just damned annoying I will only be able to use £10 of it and still be left with just under £5, shame the messages are not free.
You could have got a £10 orange sim for £4.99

Thanks for the info, but we already knew that. What we all are dying to know is how can we get some free Sims for Orange
Haha what will it cost me?
give me a sim

T-Mobile:

I spent quite a bit but got huge returns I can only give you an estimated break down and haven’t factored in the costs of the texts to get the real margins. Also if you bought plus the costs needs to be weighed against the new value of the product which would be discounted by 10% (on the original stated value).
If you can make sense of this will be amazed (well to a point)

I tried to buy a couple, looks like only one per customer Thanks for the heads up

lol. I managed to get three of those Free T-Mobile Pay Monthly SIM cards for me and different family members, but they all end later this year (November I think). I was then going to switch us all to OVIVO, well that was the plan.
Anyway, if any similar deals turn up, I'll let the two of you know in future.
As long as I remember that is.
It does feel good to help out..sometimes :).
I topped mine up last night so can confirm it works, they use Vodafone as their carrier.
Did a bit of shameless bin diving by the self service, went through 4 different bins. Got loads of mobile vouchers (and a £1.50 brand match coupon for my effort), but none of the right kind. Wondering how hard these are going to be to get. I ended up with four different types:
ETA: Just noticed the last two have nectar card numbers on them. So I guess there must be mobile vouchers you get with nectar cards and ones you get without.
Have ordered some double up SIM cards anyway. I just hope they are not like the last lot I had from Sainsbury's. They all arrived dead, with no network, no phone number and no instructions.
The voucher has been posted here:
hotukdeals.com/dea…206
so there will probably be more people looking for them, even if they are not using them for PSN credit.
Anyway, haven't given up yet! Will try the bigger Sainsbury's at the end of the week (edited)
Credit doubled today, much quicker than I thought, added £30 but there's a limited of £30 per network per day, put another £20 from Orange, up to £79 now with £65 to go sorted now for the next couple of years lol
Rang up today regarding the top up within 30 days. Said I ordered the sim while ago and it only just showed up.
Was told they have no way to check if it's been 30 days and if it says on the envelope, then you will get double top up within 7 days. Was told to call back after 7 days if I didn't get the extra credit. So fingers crossed.
Also they can't send you a new sim, as the order date has expired.
Buy the Nokia 105 from CPW for 99p + £20 top up = £20.99
Sell the handset for £20 and top up the card with £1!
Be aware, Orange is the only network for this that allow you the whole £20 credit, the others take £10 for a 30 day tariff. Orange also limit you to credit PSN now with £30 per mth.
Theres also the Now TV free £10 psn to take advantage of too.
I while ago, I had ordered those sainsburys sims for the double top up offer and topped up £50 on each (I got 3). One week passed and no double top up. As instructed by some members in here, I phoned up customer care and they manually added the additional £50 credit. This happened for all 3 sims.
After psn top-up, I was left with £4.76 on each sim.
Now the good part,
I put one of the sims in, planning to use the remaining cridit on play store, upon checking my balance my credit was not £4.76 but £54.76 !!!
Checked the other sims and they where the same. So for 3 x £50 spent, I've got £450 credit
So, if you have used the sainsburys deal and had to phone up to get your credit, check your balance now. It seems the manual top-up does not overwrite the automatic too-up.

10!? Please don't overdo it dude, at least not in such a short period of time. Chitterchatter stopped their promo for free credit when people started abusing it by ordering too many too quickly.
O2 will notice if people are doing the same with the £20 offer.
Yes I did it last night with ovivo. Had £18 and bought £15 credit and now have £2.88 left.

This deal is mostly for those on pay as you go who have built up credit they don't need. For example when you sign up to Orange you may get £10 free credit to spend. Normally you'd use up that credit on calls/texts but now you can transfer it onto the playstation store to buy games and stuff.
Not true - you pay £5 for a £10 SIM, but then you only get £5 PSN credit because you have to pay 12p for a text, meaning you're left with £9.88 credit!
- Go to Sony Entertainment Network (SEN)
- Sign into account
- Account > Wallet > Add Funds to Wallet
- Click 'Use Mobile'
- Choose funding amount: £5, £10, £15, £20, £25, £30 only
- Add mobile phone number and click 'Continue'.
- Text Y to 78660 (usual standard charges for texts apply, ensure there is enough credit to cover this otherwise the transaction will fail)

im on 20MB virgin media and it took me 3 hours to download BF3.
I know youre lying about the install time because that should be the same for everyone, and it doesnt take 2 hours to install. it took mine about 30-40 mins.
Yeah - they have to have a pink terminal though. Some don't.
