Do you have to have a SIM card for it to work or can you just use the wifi? I'm really wanting to get a vita atm.

I take it this deal is for the original OLED model and not the new SLIM model? Good deal either way!

The deal link doesn't say, but Buzz's picture suggests the OLED (small Start/Select buttons) and the price would as well really.

I would go with Tearaway as the game of my choosing if I was buying this.

You could flog Tearaway for £15-20 on Fleabay making the console effectively only £100-105 which is a bargain.

I've ordered from them a few times with no problems, even my PS4. They are on Twitter (@GameStopUK) if you want to ask them anything.

I've ordered from them 3 times. 1st was perfect, 2nd was a game arriving a week after launch (from a pre-order 3 months earlier) and the last was a gamepad that never arrived. I did eventually get a refund though.

On balance, not great for me and I won't be using them again. However, I understand that not everyone will have the same poor service and maybe I've just been unlucky twice.

It only comes with a memory card if you purchase the 'PS Vita Indie Games Mega Pack' as that is bundles with 4gb memory card.

They had a better deal on this for the exact same price a few weeks ago. It was the 3g vita + 1 vita game + indie pack, or 3g vita + 1 ps3 game + indie pack

It was 119.99 at one point for a few days but deal was only posted here when it went up to 139.99.

    Still a good price though.

(As Buzz says, none as standard)

16GB for £25 at Amazon is generally the going rate, they really are quite expensive.

Or for a bigger saving, get it or something else (GoW collection probably sells for a similar price), sell it on ebay, then buy Tearaway on the current PSN sale for £11.99/£10.79/£4.32.

Still can't decide between OLED or Slim. The extra hour battery life doesn't matter that much to me.

I would shop elsewhere and get the Vita cheaper (plus there is virtually no point in the 3G version) and put the rest of your money towards a PS+ subscription. PS+ is seriously good value for money. So much so, my Vita gets regular use and I haven't bought a Vita game in over a year!
  25. junxs's avatar
Didn't they announce at last years E3 that the memory cards were going to come down in price? still waiting..
Anyone who buys this and has a PS+ subscription, be aware that you will very quickly run out of space, I recommend factoring in the price of a larger memory card into the total price.
I have a 16gb card and find myself constantly having to delete games that i'm no way near finished with in order to play the new ones.

Only negative thing about the Vita is the price of the proprietary memory cards. Paid £40 at Amazon for my 32GB card.
So factor that in when you are getting a Vita, as even a few months of PS+ games will easily fill that size card, let alone 4-16GB cards.

Can you give us a clue where we can find a new Vita cheaper than this deal? Especially after factoring in selling Tearaway or God of War Collection? (By 'new' I mean not pre-owned, not the Vita Slim)

You are correct that PS+ is brilliant value for money - I've got so many fantastic games (even new releases) for free such as Borderlands 2, Grid 2, etc.

Has anyone received their vita from them yet? I'm considering buying one but if I have to wait over a month I won't bother!
