The Cold War may be over, but a new world order keeps a group of covert mercenaries employed by the highest bidder. Also The close-up shots of Deniro in those chases he’s really in the cars going at those speeds, so his reaction is great - they used left hand drive cars with the stunt drivers doing the chases for real and Deniro in the right hand passenger seat with a false dashboard and fake steering wheel, so he could look like he was driving the cars at those speeds.

Looks like £28 for the UK release out in a month. So good pickup for anyone who doesn't want to wait.

I've got this release personally. Looks fantastic. Haven't tried the 'Top Menu' Panasonic 820 trick to see if it region free's the blu-ray. Open to trying it if anyone wants to know about the extras disc. (edited)

Good deal. I've had this 4k for a couple of months.
Highly recommended.
If only they wouid release them in the UK.
I make a wishlist of the 4k I want to import and wait.
I got some like it hot for £20 a couple of days ago. Watched it last night and it's so good.
Sadly such deals are rare and prices remain ludicrously high (edited)

Great film, but had to laugh when Robert De Niro badly mispronounce the name of the SAS base. as ‘Hearford’ insteas of ‘Hereford’ - I bet everyone was too scared to correct him! (I would be given he’s a legendary actor!) 😄

May be it's my imagination but Natascha McElhone looks a lot better now, in Halo, than she did in this 26 years ago.

Great film and 4K disc. I can confirm the top menu trick doesn’t work with this one. Does it even work with any Kino Lorber’s discs? I’ve not had any luck with them unlike Criterion that all seem to work.

The continuity wasn't great though... BMW 535 and M5 wheels in different parts of same chase plus mid-chase miraculously the headlight got repaired (on the S8 iirc)

that did my OCD in as a kid watching this lol. Did the same thing in Tomorrow Never Dies BMW 750 lol. Why don't we get the part as Oscar winning editors

Great film tho - my grandad loved it and wasn't much of a movie fan o good memories.

Not to sure if you will end up with blu ray and not 4k version.

The link is to blu ray version showing 4k blu ray picture.

Also when you look at your order it says blu ray version but shows 4k picture!

It's just Amazon's standard "we don't know where to put it" issue with 4K+Blu-ray import editions. They shove them in the blu-ray section by default.

You get what you see pictured and in the main title.
Region free 4K with a bonus region locked blu-ray.
I picked up this exact one last year
If you scroll down the page to the item blurb it even gives the info on the two discs extras.

Its gone cheaper because of the UK 4K out shortly. And I suspect the UK one may be a tad superior.
