People still use those expensive aqua_rey thingys!?!?!? PFFT! ;)
I'd doubt these come with UV codes, if they do they're not as expensice as you think.
also 6.65/2 = 3.325 per movie with unlimited replayability sounds like a good deal. no?
I was joking, its was sarcasm/satire, making fun of people who comment stuff like "Who needs dvds when you have stuff netflix?!?!?!?!??! " and so on

Not if they're movies you wouldn't want to watch more than once they're not. That's the false economy the distributor is trying to sell you into.

Why not spend £6+ on a great movie you'll watch over and over instead? Logically there's no real argument against that being the better option unless you have unlimited funds.

hot! how long do you have to watch rentals on google play do you have to watch them the same day?

I think I saw it state you have 30 days to start watching the rental from when you purchase it but once you start it, you have 48 hours to finish it.

If you rent a movie on your Google Play account and log in to a Youtube app using the same account (on an XBox for example) the film will appear in your library, so it's pretty easy to watch your 99p film on a telly.
Same if you have YouTube on your smart tv/Nowtv box. :)
No option to activate for me but checked rewards in my account and it's there. Cheers. :)

Agreed. Ordered it on my PC and now appears in 'My library' in the Google Play app on my Samsung 55". 8)

Saw this at last years Edinburgh film festival it's actually really well made, beautiful cinematography Gregor Fisher is great as always highly recommended- especially for free
mcek
The recent Dad's Army film was terrible. The tv documentary-drama on them, starring John Sessions was much better.
And remakes aren't always better than the original, as seen with dire American versions of European tv/films (The Killing, The Bridge, The Prisoner, The Vanishing, ...).
Sometimes more money and technology can lead to better version of a story, but I think this film is at it's best in the original though stereotyped form.
Toby Jones was good like always but Bill Nighy was terrible, not his fault really but they didn't get his character right at all.
No London for now, that's a shame.
phil1.Edinburgh
gabesdad
Why the heck would they remake such a classic film? No way I'd even consider watching this, as with the more recent Dad's Army movie.
ok you miss out not rest of us

I will. Being free isn't an attraction for a product that will always fail to have the real world charm of the original. HD and flashy cinematography can't polish a turd.

Good deal. It's annoying how many Google play movies are still only stereo and have no extras, though. One of the few things i miss after moving completely over to Android for phone and tablet.
Theres a promo with some sweets packs too, three packs for £3 Play credit. Tesco are/were selling them for £1, so money back in credit. Six bags of M&Ms "free" with this deal :-D
Same price on Amazon Video as well, if anyone prefers them/ has credit to spend :D
grabbed. thanks.
Just for anybody interested, alternatively Amazon are currently doing 2 for £14.99 on Marvel Blu-rays.

Sky news?
The BBC is an organisation "WE" are forced to pay for by watching other channels.
The BBC being a VAST INSTITUTION is the precise problem. It was not designed to be "nanny"...I have to pay the BBC to watch re-runs of Bullseye made for ITV from 1982!

Though I've never watched it, you offer up Sky news as a (solitary) example of free Sky TV viewing...? Precisely how politically unbiased do you think that little number is from Murdoch?

Amongst other goals the BBC was designed to educate and stimulate the British Public and beyond. So, in some sense, it was both nanny and teacher.

You do not have to pay the BBC to watch re-runs of Bullseye (whatever that may be). The BBC offers a wealth of material for public consumption; you are not restricted to TV productions, new or old. The choices you make about what you watch, listen to or read are your choices. However, if you peruse the BBC web-sites you will find a massive archive of information covering myriad aspects of life.

A 40p per day tax, I you so consider it, is, in my opinion an absolute bargain. I would far rather pay for the upkeep of the BBC than fund munitions production or HS2 railway projects. We are all paying considerably more than 40p per day in recompense for the criminal activities of a mere handful of bankers, failed IT schemes and environmental cleansing.

You are free to gripe about the BBC if you must. But consider the pleasure it brings to millions of people young or old, day in, day out.

Sky is free of course. The BBC is not only the government propaganda arm but proven liars and well need we mention OPERATION YEWTREE?
I stand corrected if SKY is free. I've never seen a SKY channel programme on my list of Freeview channels. Then again I may have deleted it years ago.
The BBC is no more an agent of government than any other media company; Murdoch, it could be said, almost runs our governments directly. And, if not directly, they are too often functionally steered via his right-wing media juggernauts. Even "New" Labour's once leader, and our PM for years, was a ventriloquists dummy for Murdoch's personal politics.
The BBC has been a vast institution for decades. Given the prevalent misogyny of a patriarchic population it was bound to have some bad apples in its baskets. Then again, the same could be said for religious and charitable organisations. "Proven liars" is a term applicable to every corner of every organisation. So, why single out the BBC?

The BBC being a VAST INSTITUTION is the precise problem. It was not designed to be "nanny" but yet the billions "WE" are forced to pay them and the dozens of staff earning more than the PM. You love the BBC you pay for it through subscirption, I don't pay Ford to drive a Ferrari, I don't pay Warbutons to eat Hovis yet I have to pay the BBC to watch re-runs of Bullseye made for ITV from 1982!

Do these have an expiry date on the code that come with the box?
Yes, but it's usually about a year unless old stock and you can use online chat to ask Now TV to give you the expiry date.
I've had many expired codes from passes that came with boxes. Customer service via the web chat have given me new codes every time.
Same here, they are very helpful.
Spare box and another six month's subs. Happy days.

Why is their still Plex for now TV on eBay? Also how much memory is there for pausing TV?
Those currently on ebay will be the NOW TV Boxes which were 'current' as of x-months back, x-months back PRIOR to SKY using their OTA (Over The Air) software update to disable 'plex-feature' capabilities via the NOW TV Boxes Developer Mode Console, etc etc?.
New NOW TV Boxes that are now bought, and are then notably 'updated', will automatically have this/that feature omitted from them?, so ..... :-(
Hopefully some day, somewhere, someone will come up with a notable workaround for it, or whatever ?. :-)
I've got a smart now tv box that I bought at around Christmas time. Will this have a higher value than the new ones? I've never had it connected yet.

NOPE!, the Smart NOW TV Box you bought around Christmas is way superior to that of any of SKY's previous NOW TV 'offerings' (which is also same as that of the OP's current Deal). :-)

Be assured that of the 3 NOW TV Boxes floating about out there?, you have the better Animal!! (aka, the OP's Smart NOW TV Box). :-)

I would STILL buy the NOW TV Box in this OP's Deal though:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/now-tv-box-3-month-entertainment-pass-9-85-delivered-shopto-2665336

As Monthly NOW TV Movie/Cinema Passes for ONLY 1 Month, are £9.99 alone?! (and you are effectively being literally being given 2 Months here?, and NOT just 1 Month, etc etc etc ..... )

Incidentally, my above link is kinda also the NOW TV Box to which I loosely referenced to earlier also. :-)

I have tried many times to claim tickets as a past user and as a new user. As a past user the password is not recognised, as a forgotten password I receive a message telling me that a password will be emailed to me, which is never received. Please explain. Having said that I don't suppose I will in fact even receive an email, perhaps a letter would suffice, you definitely have my address!

I agree that whitewashing/sexism is an issue in movie industry but getting a role or in 2017 showering awards to anyone with an ethnicity to temper the militant mouthpieces on the extreme left does the equality campaigners no good at all. Sadly the media is either far right crazy or far left black power extremists. ( truth hurt? Tough cookies !)

beyond was a bit poor. everyone seemed to love into darkness including me. and it easily took most cash out of all three at world box office. has a very high rotten tomotoes rating. but one day people decided to hate it. no idea why and I love the original series. hated TNG series and movies though. cheap dull rubbish
It was the PC SJW big mouths.
They objected to a white m,an playing an "asian" (he was based on Rodenberry's mate in the USAF CARL Noonien Singh) and then saying he should be played by a Mexican.....seriously. The same turds said nothing about the "Ancient One" who was an old Tibetan/Chinese man of very VERY old age, was played by a woman. But complained that Stephen Strange should be far eastern.....Stephen Strange who was a white westerner in the comics. They're doing the same NOW with "Iron Fist" the same arrogant peabrains destroying the comics these great ideas came from (sales have plummeted with their SJW lunacy)
Anyways, there was bits of the SJW mentality in Beyond too - its why its so cr*p
Good deal for a triple movie steelbook despite having 3D which even after 40+years is still seen as a flawed novelty aspect that still isn't a " must have " peice of tech!
Hoping for a Guardians of the Galaxy 1/2 combo as the 1st movie steelbook is still £50 to buy.
Ive got the 1st 2 but economics say to me to buy this. I can trade in my into darkness 3d steelbook at CEX and with the 1 pound voucher, get 14 quid credit. keeps the trek collection a bit neater ...

The only unexpected thing that could happen about the Hobbit is that Peter Jackson coulndn't have made it a chore.
Although my luck in poundland stores has been rather variable; this is one item I've noticed in a few - in case you have one nearby and would prefer a new copy.
