If you paid £200+ for a 500gb mechanical drive in the last 3 or 4 years you were royally ripped off.

Crucial plays The Middling Truth game, the one which uses Pro vs Con to muddle the reality in order to encourage gambling, gambling being the perennial choice of the blind-blinded. Crucial's SSDs are only so-so in the SSD brinksmanship stake but via their numpty enthusiasts focussing on 1 or 2 aspects of their SSD specs, they'd managed to turn Night into Day thereby enabling them to charge more than what their SSDs are worth. In practice, most SSDs perform similarly if only because stopping to scratch one's itch here and there will redress any Formula 1 Racing type of prowess.

Reality is The Wider Picture [TWP] and not some localised view of Relativity unless one is mired into The Chosen Few's methodologies of sympathy, posturing and Leading The Pack, TWP being what fundmentally Truth is all about, the opposite of All Things to All Men, The One Thing for All Men - and we are not talking about Collectivisation, oka "Communism"/"Socialism", we are talking about Diversity being the route to Collectivity. One reason why Truth is that which is applied to all unless one was fed toothfairy tales since infancy about being "Chosen". As all know and realise, when a dog is trained to be nasty, even Chihuahuas are a threat to peace and harmony. This is because insanity is a behavioural issue [of infinitising] and not a material issue [of well defined limits]. SSD prices have been insane since inception which is why every TD&H is into the act, acting like The Toothfairy Godmother out to benefit PC kind. At least that is the excuse.

It is benevolent to realise that when Taxation & Credit is reigning, "service" is then the game in town which is why the cost of service is astronomical in Westernised economies. Where there is a thriving "Service Industry", material resources is of relative unimportance because dumbing-down The Natives' King/Kingmaker is then the task at hand, which is where Propaganda pirouettes into the act. One reason why when 'fings are cheep, service files outta the door - and let no numpty believes otherwise - unless one was "chosen", of course.

If only I had studied philosophy - then I might have been able to make … If only I had studied philosophy - then I might have been able to make some sense out of this!

I wouldn't worry - It was a load of pretentious bullsh*t, and most of it was hundreds of words saying nothing much at all. Smacks of someone who feels the need to come across as so clever and learned, when in fact they aren't that at all (its littered with spelling mistakes for instance). I nearly laughed myself silly reading it, thinking 'how very sad indeed'. The thing is, if you dress something up in long words, long sentences, and technical mumbo jumbo, some people fall for it and think its credible when in fact it often isn't. I would ignore it, and move on....

My thoughts entirely. His post here is even better - hotukdeals.com/dea…195

Samsung msata drives are difficult to get hold of as they're oem only - and you probably won't be able to update the firmware. I just replaced the Samsung 830 msata in my laptop with a Plextor M5M and it's damn good. It and various other options here - overclockers.co.uk/pro…365 .

Good price again but waiting on another 256gb Pro price drop, 256gb is plenty for games/apps plus the Pro version doesn't get bogged down when you start to fill it with data unlike the standard 840 which recent tests have shown.
