Looks ok but I couldn’t live with that movement. It doesn’t hack and you can’t hand wind and from my experience with three of these movements accuracy is usually at the outer edge of the tolerances. Much better can be had for much less from AliExpress.

I've had good experiences with steeldive, too. Addiesdive is also excellent for the price point. Carnival and Pagani have also impressed me with their offerings 👌
If tritium is your thing then yelang make some very nice autos with t25 and t100 tubes, again very impressive for the price point.

Hot, same price on Amazon by looks of it (probably via same seller).
    What is hand hacking anyone??
    greyfox's avatar
Hacking refers to stopping the seconds hand when you pull the crown to adjust the time (or date).

Pagani Design PD1717 is one example. Currently £38.25 with possibly a small amount of VAT. Plenty more, just search.

They advertise it as 50% off, but it's never been near £199 on Amazon.co.uk. Makes you wonder.

Always inflate the rrp, like sports direct or sofa companies

What's so special about 20 seconds or 20 minutes?
  6. BeerGoggles's avatar
Very odd being just for white men.
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
    Yep...not a watch for a brother aparently.

It does not matter what watch, what price point, the pagani watch fans always show up. I am starting to think the watches are incredible, not only do they notify them of new deals, and provide them with such joy that they feel the desperate need to share that joy like one of those crazies in the city centres spouting about religion, but regardless of watch shape or design they are instantly transported back to their pagani watch and advertising it.

I wish I was as passionate about anything as a pagani watch owner is their watch.... so maybe I need one in my life to experience that pure joy.

Like the watch the deal is linked to. (edited)

Pagani aren't a touch on Seiko and never will be.

Seiko are a phenomenal company, have a super rich history and a huge range of styles and watches at different price points.

Huge fan of them, picked up the Padi diver about a year ago and it's a ridiculous watch for the money (I think I paid around 270 on sale instead of the 450 RRP).

They've had a few waivers over the years, and the value proposition isn't as good as it used to be, but they still are a wicked brand and company.

Seen a few people mention Aliexpress watches in the comments and I too have bought a few from there but eventually cycled back around to a seiko 5 like this one.

So here's my opinion from experience of both:

    Aliexpress watches
    .Specs aren't everything.
Sapphire glass, hacking/hand winding movement, Ceramic bezel, etc all for well under £100 sometimes even as low as under £50 is incredible value and awesome to have don't get me wrong.
But overall it's about how a watch makes you feel as well as being a tool and in my experience, the specs wore off pretty quickly for me.
The little things and QC niggles started to drive me crazy this was after trying - Pagani Design, Steeldive & addiesdive.
Granted all these are lower-tier watch brands for Aliexpress, I never quite made it to the likes of San Martin and upwards where the finishing allegedly gets much better.

    Seiko
7s26 Movement - Loads of people mention "no hacking or hand winding" as a problem but honestly in my experience of wearing this watch every day this doesn't matter the power reserve keeps it ticking all night so I haven't had to do the "Seiko shuffle" since I bought it, and I'm not on military time so no need to synchronize my watch to the second for hacking, mine runs a tad slow by 10 seconds so I usually just set it a minute fast from the actual time and then adjust it every week or so.

Wear what you like and ultimately what you can afford.

No one cares if your wearing a Steeldive, Seiko, or a Rolex.

If YOU enjoy wearing it that's all that matters.

    It's all subjective.

I had fun with all of my watches even the ones from Aliexpress, but the Seiko 5 seems to be the one I have looked at and worn with pride and got the most enjoyment out of.

Looking at that dial I am strangely reminded of my childhood, and watching my Uncle doing various puzzles on the table with a box of Swan Vesta matches. (edited)

    Nice dial.
I started watch collecting many many years ago with the old Seiko 5s which were £50 to £100 new at the time.
Bomb proof mechanicals but I agree can be a bit of a pain without hand winding.
This is tempting but I’ll pass.
Heated given the ridiculously inflated prices of the newer models.

    Very 80's.

Just like the arms that the people have, they have not changed in design since the 80s, perhaps, more obese and more trunk like.

Am I not right in saying the 7S26 was discontinued 5 or so years ago? IMHO the watch is a really good deal and it's good to see solid applied branding and indices. As for the no hand hacking hand wringing, it's a moot point when buying a watch with a movement that may well be -20/+20 seconds a day or worse.
    nocturn's avatar
Yes 7S26 was replaced by 4R36 many years ago (or NH36 supplied to OEM).
  16. dave0258's avatar
    Must resist.

Dose this come with a warranty if the dial gets bent

What is special about this watch getting this much heat? (edited)
    Baldricky's avatar
Deals don't typically get heat because they item is "special", rather they get heat because the price for the item is particularly good compared to the price of the same item elsewhere. In this case however, I think there is a bit of Seiko love mixed in with the voting. (edited)

I saw on creation watches. They do free worldwide shipping. Its on UK amazon with £99 too.
