Remember code XMAS if the codes don't stack, you can get this motor oil free if you have a big enough order. Eg battery + oil

I'm finding the oil thing a bit confusing, I have an i10 and the manual says API service SM or above/ ACEA A5 or above. But I was always told go by the 5w-30 or whatever the car happens to need. Any one explain this to me?

Is there any reason this can't be used in a VAG engine? It's not coming up on the list for my car, but can't be too dissimilar can it?

There's a lot more to oil than just viscosity these days - don't risk it unless you know it's compatible.

5w30 are the thickness grades. 5 when cold - thickening up to 30 when the engine is warm. The ACEA etc. Is the quality of the oil. Important to get both right as different cars/manufacturers specify varying quality.

And a fully synthetic oil will give better protection than a semi synthetic or mineral oil.
