Have the quality of these gotten any better?

A lot of reports of poir waterproofing on them in the past. I also don't get on well with Vibram soles on a lot of wet surfaces from previous experience.

No they haven’t gotten any better.

also Vibram isn’t just one compound.  It’s lots of different compounds.  Some are harder (eg Mont, which I have on my high altitude mountaineering boots) and some are much softer (eg XS Grip/2, which are on my climbing shoes).  Some are better in the wet, some are designed for dry approaches.  Some are even designed just to be cheaper.

Dont write it off just because Vibram.  Research the compound and lug pattern that supports what you want it to do.

I've been looking to replace my old pair of these and can't find size 8 in the blue colour for a decent price. Don't like this colour but this is a brilliant deal

Beware - quality is nothing like the old Merrells.  You will likely be extremely disappointed.

    How wide they are?

I must be on my fourth pair of these now and have both shoes and low rise boots just now. Not yet noticed any fall off in quality

Don’t bother. I bought a pair of these and they were replaced twice under guarantee as they started letting water in. I bought mine from Go Outdoors. The third pair started leaking but they were out of warranty at this point. I use them for dry walks now.

I assume you bought the goretex version as the version in this deal is for non goretex

Don't bother. They'll fall apart in 3 months. I have 20 year old Merrells still in service, but the quality has gone down the pan more and more. The are no better than sports direct crap now.

Nearly £50 for one shoe! Unbelievable!
    KevinMcComps's avatar
Why? I have pairs that cost £130+

Depends what you use them for and where.
