thanks just ordered one

I bought a pair last year and used for light trail running over short distances. The sole had wore out in about 3 months. More fashionable than practical. Don't expect them to last long unless dandering about town in them

Actually really poor reviews on north face’ own website for these persally I like them!

Great shoes I have last year's model and they are so comfy.

Thanks, @Narcotix , very good price

My girlfriend has these. Reasonably comfortable and good for fair weather walking. Not really suited to wet weather and rugged terrain but for the price they're a good buy if you're looking for some casual walking boots

seem to get a lot of bad reviews, thin soles and not actually waterproof...?

Good price but nearest store is too far away and they don’t do delivery.

Brilliant, I managed to reserve a pair of size 5's in the Plymouth store. Thank you.

Good price £17 but it is only this price with card

Berghaus Expeditor AQ walking boots - £51 @ Blacks - Plus £4.95 P&P
Found 24th MarFound 24th Mar
Seems a good price for Berghaus walking boots. Plus possible 10% quidco.

Berghaus give a lifetime guarantee on their boots too.

Gortex after 12 months the retailer before that as said in previous comment. I've done it twice with no issues. It is Gortex that offer the "lifetime" guarantee.

But who do you put in the claim to? Goretex or the boot manufacturer? Goretex is as good and bad as any other waterproof material. I also find they start to leak at the crease point where your foot bends.

Personally I just buy in store, my current pair of Scarpa boots were fitted and purchased at Cotswold outdoor. Got home found cheaper at Millets so they refunded the difference.

Gortex have a lifetime guarantee (reasonable wear and tear for age). I've had two pairs replaced. One pair was five years old and used a few times per week. All I had to do was send photos and proof of purchase then got another pair sent within a week having sent the old pair back (also sent a prepaid UPS label). Easy and worth doing if you have an issue with the waterproofness. I found it pretty hard to believe how brilliant the service was. If it has Gortex on it you deal with Gortex after 12 months of owning. Before that go back to the supplier.

Do I need a store card for this deal? Couldn't see anybody else ask in the comments.

Why not go the full hog and say "Faux Cuir" (Fake Leather....en francais). Because a lot of people will not know what FAUX means (and it sounds like "posh" leather, non ?).....and why put CUIR when it certainly will not sell those FAKE LEATHER goods lol (shock)

I was in GoOutdoors last week, the guy there reckoned they fell into the legal definition of waterproof but didn't have much of a hydrostatic head when compared to other boots they sell.

Voted hot just for the comment!! Totally sums me up

Are you pulling my leg? (y) It actually doesn't help that I failed my GCSE French... I mean, why don't they just call it fake leather (pirate) Kindest regards

Thanks OP for flagging this up just came at right time as Old boots have given up managed to get Go Outdoors to Price match Ultimate Outdoors so was able to go and try some Scarpa's on and get and extra 10% discount. Would recommend anyone spending a lot on boots to try them on as had some bad experiences with buying boots online in the past without trying on.

Branding isn't large enough, no one will know i have North Face boots, voted cold.

Does that mean a lollypop removes dog muck from these with no problems? (lol)

Strange. Let me do it, using my Gmail address.

Won't let me do it. Tried two of my emails (one gmail and one sky) and it tells me both times that they're incorrect.

Actually, they are often smaller than they should be. I have been buying Keen's for a number of years and you will often see a warning next to their foot ware stating you should buy the next size up. Great quality when you get the right fit

Don't forget to sign up to their newsletter for £5 off as well and go via Quidco for 7% cashback.

They're fairly true to size, maybe fractionally large but not much. They are in US sizes but they have a Size Conversion chat on that page.

One of the best rated walking boots usually around the £125+ mark so £80 is a good price Only larger sizes avaliable so if you have small feet your out of luck

Back to 124 :/

not needing these, but if you havent tried this brand before, i would defo SIZE UP by one size on your usual. i am a 9 in Clarks, Asics, Teva, Hi-Tec, Geox, Merrel, Karrimor, Crocs, Fenchurch, Diesel.... but a 9.5 in adidas... but in salomon i had to get a 10, the 9's were really REALLY tight!

took a chance on 10.5 for £85 delivered, reading reviews they are tight fit, if not I will send them back

Brilliant boots, comfy from the start and never had any issues with them.

Great advice i had to return my size 10 and have been waiting a year since for the price to drop to buy another pair, sadly i have just seen this deal and no size 10.5 or even 11 available, thankfully got the North Face boots posted here for £72 and they are great !

My partner and I both have these boots and they are substantially better than the Berghaus boots we had prior. They have managed snow, torrential rain, sodden boggy ground, slippery rock and sub zero temperatures in the Lake District and have kept our feet warm and dry. They tend to be small fitting, in my case one size up although She Who Must Be Obeyed found a perfect fit at her usual size. Both pairs are still going strong after a year.

I've been looking at these for the past couple of days and pricematched them this morning as well. The only reason I didn't buy them was the reports of water ingress after a short while. Check it out on Google

Bought a couple of jackets and tops in the same sale last year and Regatta has dived bombed in terms of quality. They used to make reasonable quality at a reasonable price, they're now making crap with an outrageous RRP. With 70% off its ok for walking the dog etc but ignore the RRP and avoid for outdoor activities as it will let you down.

Thank you Jacket ordered

I'd agree with this - bought some items in previous sale and quality very poor as well as dodgy sizing.

I have ordered walking sandles and trainers for long walks.

Check the prices on Amazon as I have found they are cheaper than when Regatta have a sale

I ordered my coat on Friday 17th November and received it on Monday 27th November. Had a terrible time chasing after Hermes - worse delivery courier ever

ordered on the 25th but stuck on processing ever since. Anybody had their orders dispatched?

Prices for many things are exactly what they have been for months. In fact after cashback for some things you are better going to the regular regatta site instead of this!

Hmm.... earlier this afternoon, I noticed it said "1 hour left to order for next day delivery" but it's not there now.

Yes I did.. True, like you said Clarks customer service is very good but I only got a refund. Not sure what has happened to my order.

Genuinely never had a problem with online orders - did you try contacting Clarks customer service by telephone or email HERE? Have always found them very helpful, I ordered the wrong size once by accident, realised before they sent the order & they went above & beyond to sort it for me

absolute crap, bought a pair of karrimoor boots a couple of months ago, lasted me 6 weeks, only used for work, split at the edges of the toes on both sides resulting in wet feet. wasted £35, expected at least 12 months out of them. will never buy karrimor again no matter the price

You're welcome! They run true to normal shoe size, in the two pairs I've tried. Hope you get on well with them, if you decide to go for a pair.

Many thanks. Add them to my list for further research. How are they on sizing - same size as normal footwear, size larger as walking boot etc?

Hi, ive got the Grisport Unisex Peaklander currently, after owning a pair of Grisport Timbers for 4 years. Both are rugged and waterproof, but I prefer overall the Peaklanders. They provide good ankle support as a slightly taller boot, the construction is really good quality thick smooth leather which cleans / polishes up easily, I've had zero water ingress (similar to the Timbers), and they're suitable for hiking almost straight out of the box - minimal breaking in period. Hope this helps! Oh, and also they've a good rolling gait when you walk, and are nicely cushioned around the ankle.

Been looking for decent walking boots for a couple of weeks. Any Grisport model in particular you recommend and why would be appreciated.

All sounds a rather familiar story.. So guess they are no longer Brasher boots, sad..
