Sony Playstation Vita £197 @ Asda Instore from 22nd February £196.98
Cheapest I have seen for the stand alone console don't think it will include the pre-order pack though. Also think it might only be instore as it is showing from £219 online
Update- price has increased by 2p for some reason prices for memory cards are as follows:
4gb - £15
8gb - £27
16gb -£37
ALSO
£100 off if you trade in a nintendo 3ds

So it has to be cold as it is bad value
So it has to be cold as it is bad value
Dont be a prat! its still a good deal if you already had the card! shape up theyve already said its their first post! HEAT ADDED!!!
PS is it cracked yet?

And it's because of idiots like you we have to have these expensive memory cards in the first place. Why are people so intent on destroying the success of a console so they can play a bloody emulated NES game from 20 years ago? If you love the NES games so much, go and buy one or get a wii. Better still, just stick with your PC that will let you run pretty much any emulation tool and pirated game you want!!!

Why on earth would anyone already have the card? They aren't in shops yet and their sole purpose is for use in the Vita - so if they didn't have a Vita, they wouldn't have the card...

I raise the BS flag.

Lol, you related by any chance? anyway ignoring your daft responce, nobody has the card yet as it is not out yet, so why pay £196 + £28, when you can pay £209 to get exactly the same thing, only if you like spending more money does this deal make sense

People have already started importing 32gb memory cards - which aren't for sale here. As he said good deal
It's not the best deal either.
PS is it cracked yet?
So many manufacturers have propriety peripherals its not just Sony. Nintendo, Apple, Microsoft all do it, so I take it you don't buy any of their gear either
It's not the best deal either.
report them to the head teacher
Not everyone wants to/can order online and wait in for delivery, so if this is the cheapest instore price then it is a hot deal.

If you find a price, cheaper than elsewhere, its a good deal surely?
If people want to pipe up and say " well you dont get a memory card" they need to get a grip! You dont get 10 games, downloadable content, a carry case, or a screen protector either, but you'll probably buy them over the lifespan of the device, so therefore if this deal is cold, every deal out there is cold!
Grow up, thank people for posting the cheapest price and stop fekkin whingeing!
So not a good deal

What is wrong with wanting to get the most out of the hardware we pay for? Yes many people use it to pirate games and supposedly 'harm' retail sales but plenty of people (including myself) hacked the original one so that we could unlock it's full potential and do what it was capable of rather than what Sony dictates we could do with it.
Hopefully Amazon are monitoring HUKD :)

There is a distinct difference between an item that is essential (not desirable, essential) if you wish to use your games console to play games, and a bundle of "10 games, downloadable content, a carry case, or a screen protector".
As someone said, yes I'm sure about 10 people have imported a 32GB card, but the vast majority haven't.

I'm pretty sure Sony don't need to charge £40 for a 16GB card.

This is a good deal and it's nice to see diversity rather than the same deal with different prices. But a memory card is pretty much essential. It's like them saying, "Yeah, cheers for the £200, but you're going to have to pay another £40 to actually use it."

No it's not. If Sony left the console wide open for us to do with it as we please with the exception of protection on the retail games themselves there would be much less hacking. With the original PSP most of the hacking was to allow homebrew, not piracy.
People will try to pirate games on every games console, they always have and they always will. That doesn't mean you have to tar those of us who just want to use the console to it's full potential with the same brush.
Coupled with the fact that you'll also have to get at least one game to play and this price is really quite rubbish. Sorry, I don't like bagging on deals, but there is far better available at places like Amazon and Play. This "deal" is strictly for clueless parents who will be in for a nasty surprise once they get home and realise that they need to spend another £15-20 to even boot up some of the games they've bought.

PS is it cracked yet?
So what did you do to use it to its full potential then?
If the console doesn't do what you want it to out of the box or a promised future upgrade, then don't waste your hard earned money on it. The full potential is whatever Sony and the developers want it to be. Once again, if you're not happy with that don't buy it.
Hacking the PSP is what caused it to fail to reach its full potential in the first place. Developers lost too much money on their games being pirated and Sony had to update the firmware every month. As soon as the games stopped coming, the fate of the PSP was all but sealed.
Hacking may well open up innocent access to run home brew games or apps, but it opens the door to a bigger issue. The PS3 managed to avoid being hacked for years, and then look what happened once they managed to suss it out. I know if I spent my hard earned money on a Vita, I don't want a bunch of hackers spoiling it reaching it's full potential, and that is to play AAA titles that will follow when the developers really get a chance to push the hardware and not jump ship because they are having their hard work ripped off.

Grow up because I don't feel the price of a console + essential component (unless you aren't intending on using the console to play any games?) being more expensive than elsewhere is worthy of being a hot deal?

You didn't hack anything. You followed a simplified n00b tutorial that takes you 5 minutes, whilst us devs spend endless hours exploiting the hardware. So don't take responsibility...
I'm sorry, I don't buy your "I only hack my console to unlock it's full potential" crap. No-one believes you when you say you only want to play games via an emulator, which isn't legal anyway. Anyone who has the chance to get access to any game they can for free will do it. You're no different, no matter what you say on these forums.
