About this deal

If you're up for a tele with a HH config in a bright metallic colour, then under £200 is pretty good going here. I know a lot of folks like the traditional set up, although I'm all about HSH for the most part and didn't take to SSS configs well in the past... not that, that matters here, it's just my personal thoughts.

Delivery is free.

The Squier Affinity Series Telecaster HH LRL comes in a vibrant metallic orange and combines traditional features with a modern look. With carefully selected wood for the body and neck, this guitar relies on proven Squier quality. The ergonomically shaped C-shape neck offers optimum comfort so that every position on the fretboard can be reached effortlessly. Two specially developed humbuckers provide the powerful driving force and, in combination with the characteristic direct and clear Telecaster resonance, produce a variety of timbres. The robust hardtail bridge with string-through-body design ensures excellent tuning stability and outstanding sustain. The modern design is rounded off by the hardware in elegant black, which is not only visually appealing, but also underlines the contemporary character of this otherwise traditional Telecaster. An instrument that combines both classic and modern and is designed for a wide range of musical expressions.

The colour reminds me of a sideboard in an old person's home in the 1970s apart from that the price is great. I would spray it Lilac to improve the appearance, though.

    Oy!! I have that sideboard.

The pickup switch doesn't look like it is in an ideal position. I still like the look & the twin humbuckers sound great.

Isn't that the normal placement on a Telecaster? I did have a Fender USA Tele 1999 but I sold it a couple years ago to a travelling man who ripped me off £100 of the price. So I have regrets thinking about it

I have a couple of Affinitys and they're surprisingly good to play. On this model I'd probably swap out one of the pickups for a £20 Vanson vintage alnico, although that's based on the poor bridge humbucker that comes with the HSS Affinity Strat - these might be better. (edited)

    Fretboard looks very rough.

It's just the type of wood.
