Not saying this is a bad deal, but I think this is a Gamepass launch, so may be worth buying a temporary subscription to test it out first? Saving you £50 on a single game.

    Exactly this

While people keep spending millions preordering these companies will continue to launch unfinished tat.

Wonder if they get money straight away...!? Suspect the re-seller holds onto your cash (where they take it before launch, unlike say Amazon).

Hopefully people do NOT pre-order this. It's a first party Bethesda release. Looking at their previous efforts Bethesda need on average a year or so after launch to make the actually playable. (edited)

Well I suppose that depends … I purchased Fallout 3, Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 4 a few days after launch and really enjoyed them.

Awesome price relative to other games now, I've gone through Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, 4 on launch and loved them all can't wait for Starfield.

My thinking behind posting the deal is that personally I prefer physical copies and as a dad with very little gaming time, this will probably be the only game I'll play all year. There's no point in me getting Gamepass and paying £10 every month when I'll not be taking advantage of the service given I get in maybe less than 10 hours a month of game time for example. Not everyone is gaming 24/7 which is where something like gamepass makes sense. (edited)

See the gold deal posted recently it would be £80 for 3 years.

But yeah got GPU recently ends November, and just played the two latest AC odyssey games instead and a bit of state of decay 2 (had a huge update recently give it a go folks).

But to play online you need gold and to convert gold to GPU is minimal cost, so might as well have GPU. (edited)

Won't stop it from winning game of the year.

Harsh that this is cold, it’s a good price for a pre order. Understand peoples concerns etc but if you want a physical copy day 1 I can’t see it getting much cheaper than this

It honestly blows my mind that anyone would pay this instead of a year's Gamepass...
    Bumnut53's avatar
Is it on gamepass day one? If so I agree!

I played Fallout 3 and Skyrim at launch on PS3, no bugs can scare me

Until you get a corrupt save 80 hours in lol

Gamepass is still £90 for 3 years or so with the conversion of xbox gold to gamepass ultimate. Less if your willing to use vpns and go for the 3 months+1 free auto renew deal. Much better of doing that in my opinion while you still can. I don't imagine it will last forever. (edited)

Like many I went this route still another two years to go on mine

Yep good spot, it was auto-generated from the link

Keep in mind from personal experience don't expect the game to arrive on launch day if buying from Hit, they're the cheapest for a reason (lowest cost postage used)!
    Bumnut53's avatar
I'd be more worried about Bethesda than the reseller, "it just works"
  13. MrTibster's avatar
I’ve taken a risk and pre ordered, first time I’ve done in it years and I do it for every Bethesda Game Studios release (except 76, saw that dumpsterfire from a mile off)

Looks like no disc version will be released so you will not be able to sell it on if it's bad . Another reason to avoid it on launch. (edited)

This is wrong info, there is a physical disc with the Xbox Version.
