The best 'Acceptable' price is a bit of a downer but still a good price for this (only discovered that Keepa graph right at the end of compiling this, sigh).

(Went beyond the images limit in the OP, so I'll add this review here):

Just bought the 7X for my sons 13th this week. Double the price, but prefer new, especially since he's been totally OCD about germs since COVID. Would have got him the Microsoft wireless set like mine, but he needs something that will work on Xbox and PlayStation. (edited)

I am sure the 7X Xbox versions work on everything including PS as they have the dongle wheras the PS version you don't get the dongle so PS only.

Whoever will buy acceptable on Amazon, better get used from ebay. Because that acceptable from Amazon will be broken

Amazon's "Acceptable" means "Trashed but might still work".

Not really. I got a (German keyboard, mind you) Acceptable Lenovo Gaming laptop a few days ago and it's still all cellophaned inside! Box had been opened and taped over, though.

I've had (European plug) microwaves, dinged boxes, that were still brand new inside.

This doesn't apply to all Euro items, I have had British items like this - a bunch of Chromebooks were like that as well.

I could go on and on...

BUT Amazon grading is very sloppy and you can get atrocious Like New-s as well. It's all pot luck. (edited)

These are great for Xbox, but suck for Windows. I had no end of connection issues while using an official Xbox Bluetooth dongle. Better to get the 7+ I’d say. (Edit: I picked these up cheap also mainly for PC use but ended up returning due to said issues) (edited)

I'd echo this. They're good headphones once you actually get them connected and working...but they're frustratingly difficult to connect to different sources (xbox, xbox adapter, BT) and suffer a lot of bugs needing hard resetting.

For a headset with only a couple of buttons, I seem to spend a long time interacting with those buttons!

There's also no warning of impending flat battery, which is annoying. Although it's not uncommon for connecting a cable to drop the connection anyway.

For expensive headphones, I expected a much more polished experience.

If you are using on pc get the offical xbox wireless adapter and then use the xbox accessories app to update its firmware. Then update firmware on headset it works flawlessly. And if on, xbox you can pair both a phone and xbox, so you can run discord from your phone or laptop as well as listen to game audio. Such a good headset.

I'd be wary about this personally especially as an 'Amazon Warehouse one at Acceptable. I've had a couple Steelseries headsets seem great at first but fail on me within the year. Steelseries support is a pain to deal with too. (edited)

I’ve got these in Series X and I’m not impressed. When turning on Xbox I always have to turn on the headset, let it connect, turn off the headset, then turn back on again else party chat says I don’t have a microphone. Don’t think the sound is as good as my old HyperX Cloud 2 wired headset and I’m going back to them next time. Yes, I have manually adjusted the frequencies per an online guide. Ear cups also hurt my ears after not much time
