Cheapest i could find for this preorder. Dont have a wii u so im personally looking forward to this.

You can go online to play courses made using the Wii U version including the 100 Mario challenge. And you can share your incomplete courses via local wireless or Streetpass (so others can build on what you've already done). But you can't upload your course creations online to share with others.

There is some misinformation being spread about the game. There is online and you will be able to play a vast majority of the stages found on the Wii U version. But there is no search ID feature and you cannot upload stages from a 3DS (There is probably a technical reason for this)

I'm hoping though that it could be possible move stages locally from 3DS > Wii U version and upload that way. Because right now I see the 3DS as a way for creating to make stages on the go or on breaks and then upload progress at home or to provide an entry point to the Mario Maker series for newcomers sorta like Mario Maker Lite Version

In any case Nintendo have not promised features and then back-tracked at a later date. All the information about what this version can and cannot do it out there. If you are not happy then just don't buy it or simply get the MUCH better Wii U version or the NX version (if coming).

No online so loses most of the game or am I mistaken??

    Nope, only direct share/play.

Getting slated pretty hard by the critic's unfortunately.

Is this actually true? Seems a bit of a stupid move from Nintendo. Are … Is this actually true? Seems a bit of a stupid move from Nintendo. Are there any plans for an update to include this?

You can go online to play courses made using the Wii U version. You won’t be able to search by course ID, but you will be able to enjoy the 100 Mario Challenge, and Recommended Courses too. While not every course created in the Wii U version will be available, there won’t be any shortage of great content.

The missing online functionality people are complaining about is the Wii U version's ability to upload course creations online.

The Vita launched less than a year after the 3DS and still has games coming out?

What does that mean? The whole point of the game is to download other people's levels.

Heat for the price, I guess...

Although I'm not buying it unless it's £20 or less. Reckon it's going to drop pretty sharpish in price around Xmas, before prices start to climb again post-New Year.

Yeh exactly, if like me have no creative mind then it would be pretty useless, Wii U version gets played mostly by me playing other user levels!!

No online? Saving it for the NX? It's a shame, but I'll still get it. Damn you Nintendo *Shakes fist*
