About this deal

I have been doing some research and this TV appears to be the next best thing to the £800+ LG OLED48C34LA, for those who can't justify the OLED cost and don't want 55".
In some ways this TV might be better than the OLED for my naturally bright light lounge as the screen should be less reflective and brighter. Note: You need to be a Costco member, but a £15 'annual online' membership can be added to your online cart at TV purchase time. Here's hoping the TV is as good as the reviews

C805 is the 2nd tier of the TCL 2024 QLED range and is very well regarded by owners (those who know, know) - plenty of discussion on AV Forums.

The only slight down side to be aware of is lack of access to UK TV apps, but most get around it by using another device.

It sits just above the non miniLED C745 and just below the miniLED C845 (soon to be superceded by the 855).

For a smaller TV, you really can do no worse.

Confusingly it goes by various names - Amazon UK also have the C805 range, but call it the QM8B. In Europe it's known as the C755.

Costco really seeems to be the cheapest UK retailer for TCL at the moment, although they don't stock the whole range in all screen sizes, so pays to keep a close watching brief, as new additions to their range keep popping up (including the 55 inch C745, added recently).

However, for wider viewing angles QLED is not always recommended - that's where OLED wins out every time. (edited)

Thanks for clarifying the viewing angle. I have updated my initial description and replaced it with the TV reported virtues of a brighter screen and less reflection.
