The One Plan for £15pm on a 12 month agreement and £18pm on a 1 month agreement.
2000 minutes, 5000 texts, 5000 3 to 3 minutes and unlimited data with tethering. Coupled with their free 4G proposition this is clearly providing the best value on the market for high end users. Unbelievable!
This is a price reduction from £25/month. It's only in store AFAIK as it's not showing online (not yet anyway) so no quidco/TCB. Not a retention deal.

This is going to sound like a press release but here goes-

-From July 1st Three's "One Plan" Sim only will be reducing from £25pm to £15pm on a 12 month agreement and £18pm on a 1 month agreement.
-This plan is unique as it is the only sim only plan to include unlimited data and tethering with no fair use policy or speed caps.
-Three use a DC-HSPA+ capable network with 98% coverage with speeds of up to 42mbps making it the best network for data in the UK.
-Three will be providing free access to their 4G LTE network when it launches Q4 2013 (November ish) on this plan and other plans which is a steal. EE4G want £21pm for 500mb yet Three are doing unlimited data and tethering on 4G for £15pm... bargain!
-This deal will be available in store and online from July 1st. Available via retentions today.
-Quidco & TCB will update usually 3 days after it's been posted on the website.

    Proof: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zmpqt24wfd5y7f2/IMG_20130629_085448.jpg

To compare. Virgin do a similar plan which has a fair use policy and does not allow tethering. Same with T-Mobile who block tethering and have a 4mbps speed cap. Therefore if you are a heavy data user then Three is the best option available and with free 4G access it really smashes the competition. Like i said, this is the only sim only deal to provide unlimited data and tethering. ('ve used over 100GB tethering on this plan and get speeds of over 20mbps+ at off peak times and 10mbps+ at peak times.

@ OP. Please don't rip off my enitre post from digital spy without crediting me first. Thanks.

Feel free to vote this up so others can see.

UPDATE: When ringing up Customer services on monday to get this deal you can ask for a £15 bill credit which will give you one month free on the 12 month version of this deal. This bill credit is only available on the 12 month version and not the one month version.

UPDATE 2: Deal is now available in store and via the phone sales. Website update soon.

UPDATE 3: Deal now available online: http://store.three.co.uk/view/searchTariff?deviceType=SIM_ONLY&priceplan=PAY_MONTHLY&includedVoiceMinutes=2000.0

Looks like their decision to raise prices mid contract is finally starting to hit them. Going to hit them a bit more when my two contracts run out in a few months.

The crooks won't be getting my business again.

Virgin Mobile: £15p/m - 30 day rolling contract - Unlimited everything.

Fair use policy of 3000 minutes and 3000 texts.
Fair use on the internet of 3.5GB after which speeds are capped to 384kbps
    No tethering allowed
    No 4G access
Virgin have changed and lowered their fair use policies in the past and i can see them doing it again. They've already capped their Pay as you go unlimited plans to 1GB.

So no. Virgin is the worst exampe to use to compare to Three.

Ahmad I so look forward to emailing you when these prices goes up in 12 … Ahmad I so look forward to emailing you when these prices goes up in 12 months The one month and 12 months one plan have both been reduced To attract new customers because of the 4G roll out Don't you understand what a loss leader is? Do you really think that a company is going to undercut its rivals by almost half but as I said just wait and see

    Wanna bet? How about £10,000.

if you sign up to the £15pm or £18pm tariff today then that's the price it'll always remain. (Bar any RPI increases ofc).
Again, maybe you should read the T&C and learn how the billing system works.

And you're seriously questioning a business decision which has been ongoing for the past 3/4 years now....
Maybe you should read some financial reports mate

Unlike T-Mobile it's not a timed discount. It's specifically £15pm until Three discontinue the package.

Great deal. Hope I can switch to this from my current ³ contract.

And just to balance up the anti 3 posts. They've been good and bad for me. Reception has been excellent, some places in the country not been good, but I also have an orange phone which either doesn't work in the same spots, or doesn't work in other places. ³ seems just fine in terms of reception for me over last 4 years.

Customer service. I've always found it great over the phone. Yes it is an Indian call center, and unsurprisingly they have Indian accents, so if that's an issue for you, or you prefer only white people to help you, then yes, you'll maybe struggle with it, as you might a few other things in life!

I did had one very bad experience, but this was to fix a phone at a shop. It was so bad it was hilarious. After 2 months without a phone I reverted to sorting it out via phone. New phone arrived next day, and full apology and reimbursement for shop nonsense. But all in it was bad customer service that didn't need to happen, but also the sort of thing that can happen with any company, from my experience.

But overall my time with them has been overwhelmingly positive, especially lately when I've needed good rural network coverage.

Thanks OP, or maybe more the guy who posted on digital spy!

I know its a dying art and they are in the minority, but guess what. Even these days, some people actually go off to work for a living!!, I also work for a company where personal calls are banned.

I work shifts 8 to 8, care to draw me a picture of how i'm supposed to get there and get served when they close at 5.30pm?, perhaps if I ask nicely the nice people at 3, will stay open until 9 just for me!

In addition, the last thing I want to do at the weekend, is to drive 20 miles to the nearest three store, drive around for 2 hours looking for a parking space, just to buy a sodding sim card - something that, (if three stopped playing silly buggers and pulled their finger out) could be bought online in minutes during a break, and sent in the post.

let me say this i do not trust this guy to be impartial i personally … let me say this i do not trust this guy to be impartial i personally think he is a three employee

What's your proof? Because i personally think i'm not. I think it's clear by now i work in the telecommunications industry but i don't work for Three.

Want proof? (see unlike you i actually back up all my posts with actual facts)

How about the fact i actively promote other networks such as EE, O2 and other MVNO's such as Tesco and Ovivo. Here is a post (just like the one on this thread) which was voted top post because it was to the point and informative about how ovivo works and how it's great. Personally i think Ovivo is the best network out there for pay as you go- hotukdeals.com/dea…092 (scroll down to top comments)

Also i've promoted networks like Orange showing how people can get more for their money with Orange U24-
    hotukdeals.com/dea…780

Also i've actively promoted t-mobile, posting one of their deals before the price went up to £26pm for a short time. I posted it so people could sign up before the temporary price increase-
    hotukdeals.com/dea…254

Also i've promoted talk talk in the past and answered questions about their retention deals and the best way to get them-
    hotukdeals.com/mis…419

And to round it off, i've posted the entire EE4G upgrade procedure for existing customers here on my MSE account-
    forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho…t=6
    forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho…=45

So according to you i must work for ovivo, O2, EE and Talk Talk as well as Three?

Please allow me to explain why i make the posts i do. I like to be an informed consumer and know everything about the product before i buy. I also like to pass this information on to other people through deals on HUKD or through the comments section. The Majority of my comments get voted up/liked because they are informative and to the point. Like i said, i only use facts in my top posts and i know quite a lot about the mobile industry in the UK. Also i'm able to get info before a number of people, in the case of one three and t-mobile deal in the past, and now this deal today. In fact i could tell you when O2 and Vodafone are launching 4G this year but i don't leak everything.

So please understand that i don't work for three by posting here. I do this on a lot of different threads to help inform other people about the deal they're going for. I always take a very consumer orientated approach with all of my posts and I only post on threads where i know the facts 100%. Now that i've posted this i hope people drop this. I've been accused of working for t-mobile in the past if you read one of the links above and it's simply not true. (edited)

There is no such thing as the perfect network, because if there was there would be one service provider - purely because there would be no need for any others, and whilst i'm sure that there are some genuine and valid complaints, I also think a fair percentage of the negativity on some of these deals generally comes from those who have perhaps locked themselves into long contracts on other networks, and are kicking themselves because something more attractive / more competitive has come along. In other words, sour grapes on their part.

Also if you leap onto a contract with a provider whom you have never used before without checking the coverage checker in the areas where you are likely to use it the most, AND trying a PAYG / Monthly sim first, then i'm sorry but there is only one person to blame for that, and they don't work in customer services. Mobile signals on all networks are subject to local conditions, and even the materials used in a building fabric can affect signal reception as mobile phone signal penetration wasn't a criteria when most buildings were constructed, (and probably isn't high up the list these days either.)

With competition hotting up and 4G on the horizon from other networks, now is probably not the time to be locking yourself into long contracts, and the same for those who may be concerned about coverage and speeds in their area. The 30 day rolling deal is only £3 a month more than the 12 month offer, or £36 more for the first year, and more than half of that can be clawed back through cashback (if its continued to be offered when the deal goes live), either way its a small price to pay for the flexibility to move if it doesn't work out or something better does come along.

Its your choice - choose wisely.

I don't see the colour of a persons skin when I make a phone call and would be the same over any telephone service that i found difficult to understand.Your comments and that kind of judgement are the main problem with society today, take off your judgemental racist hat and embrace the world and the fact that people can have opinions about things without it always having to be about colour.

OK, think maybe there's a crossed wire here, I'm totally in agreement with you...I was trying to offer the same view, but maybe not so well phrased! Maybe reread it and you might get my drift, but if it's still unclear I'll happily go back and edit ... I'm suggesting Indian call centres won't suit racist people (the ones who post here with "cold. Indian call centres". I particularly like Indian call centres for some reason, find them more polite, far prefer the Indian accent to slack modern yoof speak innit, and often have a nice chat with the operators, as I'm sure they get a fair amount of racist comments and insinuations daily.
  21. deleted48307's avatar
Hmm... From what I see he made no racist comment

The fault lies with those posters who completely mis-read his comment and then played the racist card like a self righteous moron

I'm hard of hearing and despise calling Indian call centres because they usually have terrible acoustics their end and accents make things even harder for those with a degree of hearing loss, I hate that so many companies use Indian call centres to save money, does that make me racist too?

HUKD is becoming a joke with the small minority of people who make snap, judgmental posts based on their own mis-interpretation of innocent posts

    It really is not.

No tethering, and 3.5GB fair use policy. I used them when there was no fair use policy, and they throttled me after using 2GB. Took 2 months for them to allow my speeds to go back to normal.

Plus they use EE's network, who are constantly taking down the very fast T-Mobile masts in favour of the much slower Orange ones. You're looking at 2-3mbps down with the Orange masts, as opposed to 14mbps+ with T-Mobile's.
  25. deleted225204's avatar

Virgin all unlimited £15 on 30 day rolling contract is a better deal !!!!

    If it was 2003 perhaps.

I joined Virgin Mobile back in October, since then i've seen their laughingly so-called unlimited mobile internet deal go from 'unlimited' to having a fair use policy introduced. First the Fair use policy was 10gb followed by a very swift reduction from 10gb to 3.5gb - essentially a 65% reduction in one go.

Exceed this fair data use, and all of your speeds (including general browsing) will be restricted to 384kbs until the 1st of the following month - yes that's 384k which is far slower than the very first 512k landline ADSL introduced around fourteen years ago.

I've also witnessed the removal of the ability to tether and not forgetting the stealth speed capping where Virgin Mobile limited ALL data connections to 2mb down and 0.5kbs upload without telling anybody or giving advance warning. It also took Virgin Mobile two weeks and a 40+ page complaint thread on their own forum before they actually came clean and admitted that they were capping data speeds

    theregister.co.uk/201…ng/

And its also just announced a forthcoming price increase on Pay Monthly and Sim Only, so the £15 deal isn't going to be £15 on invoices for these tariffs after 22nd July.

    community.virginmedia.com/t5/…698

I've seen all of these changes introduced and I haven't even been a customer of theirs for 12 months!, so god knows what else is in store. Probably nothing good judging by my past experience.

So if you want to be a customer of a network which constantly reduces its Fair Use policy by upto 65% in one go, and introduces speed capping when it feels like it, without telling anybody then I agree, sign up to Virgin Mobile and free up the Three network for the rest the people who don't want to live in a time warp.

I just called three. The idiot on the line didn't offer the one plan for … I just called three. The idiot on the line didn't offer the one plan for £18 to me

Why don't you be patient and wait until the official introduction date of July 1st? which is when these deals officially become available and when they'll probably appear online. These are not Take That tickets - this deal won't sell out so there is no rush to be the first in the queue!

Out of interest, do many people use their mobile devices (that have truly … Out of interest, do many people use their mobile devices (that have truly unlimited data plans with tethering), as their main source to get them on to the internet? Like with their laptops etc all the time?

I live in a rural area, BT's best offering is a very variable 512k to 1mbs ADSL connection. Being on an exchange with less than 100 properties, the chances of ever getting Fibre are about as likely as winning the lottery, and to some extent the same with 4G. Having a DC-HSDPA enabled Three mast already up and covering the area and giving 10mbs to 12 mbs speeds at a point where 4G is still in its infancy, is a real bonus to here, and probably 1000's of other villages all over the country just like it, who struggle to get anything like the landline speeds which others just take for granted on ADSL.

Paying BT exactly the same line rental for poor ADSL speeds as other properties getting upto 16 mbs is a joke, so needless to say the landline got cheerfully cancelled and I now use nothing but mobile internet at home, well in all honesty who wouldn't, given the 1mbs alternative?.

Even though its my sole internet connection, I'm not a huge data user, averaging less than 10gb a month, however even that is considered untenable from most other networks, who offer pocket money data allowances at a premium price and who don't seem to want anything other than facebook users on their network, and so Three is really the only option for everyday use, and being unlimited, if my data use does increase or I feel like watching streaming TV to catch up, I don't have to worry about additional charges or triggering stupidly low fair use throttling policies.

I really hope that Three do well out of this, purely for having the balls to stand up and offer a completely unlimited data policy when others still only offer the same data packages as they were offering back in 2010 whilst some who do try and compete can only manage a few months of trying to offer the same before they run screaming for the horizon and then begin hiding behind ludicrously low fair use policies. Three also continue to offer tethering, again unlimited, and have stood by that policy for some time now, whilst the mere mention of tethering seems to have other networks filling their pampers, (at least given how many have completely retracted the ability to tether or in some way have limited it).

Another positive is that Three also seem to have invested equally in rolling out their latest technology to include and cover Rural areas, unlike Vodaphone or 02 who don't have 3G within about 25 miles of here or indeed most of the other places I visit. So even the wonderful demi-god Giff Gaff probably won't be available here until i'm a cobweb covered skeleton.

As others have said above there is only traffic management when certain … As others have said above there is only traffic management when certain conditions are met, for example when using p2p or when tethering on a plan that doesn't allow tethering etc.... And these are not speed caps as the speeds vary depending on the mast you're connected to and how congested it is. There are some masts under heavy load which would slow your speeds down a lot. And others with only a small amount of usage and you'd be able to get full speeds at even peak times. @Gavin Lewish, I should have phrased my last post better, i do understand why they do it but i don't believe there should be a permanent speed cap. And it really shouldn't be as low as 1mbps. I'm not sure if you remember but when T-Mobile first introduced the full monty with unlimited data it had a speed cap of 1mbps. Shocking right. It was only because consumers were having none of it that T-Mobile increased it up to 4mbps.

    I'm glad you believe that.
Everything slows for me between those hours and I dont use file sharing applications.

    one plan allows tethering.

so "three DO have speed caps from 3pm till midnight can get very slow some days," is true

Tbh i wouldn't recommend sitefinder. It's been out of date in some areas … Tbh i wouldn't recommend sitefinder. It's been out of date in some areas and some networks for about 5 years. A Payg sim is the best way to check. Also measuring the dbm and asu ratings with the PAYG sim can be a good way to check your area.

I would still recommend sitefinder as a reference tool, but then it's a good call also to test a PAYG if you are going to take out a contract.
The site list was updated May 2012 and was pretty accurate before then. So in that time some masts will have been put up (not many and only going to be a bonus) and you can usually find out about them from the local council planning department.
Probably the biggest issue will be with EE as they have taken down masts to save on costs sine the merger of T-Mobile and Orange.

So in reality it the nearest Vodafone mast is miles from your house the chance of there being a good signal is pretty low so there is little point in spending money testing a PAYG sim. But you should be able to get down to two networks to spend £5 on to give yourself a good test before investing in a contract.

So while sitefinder is not 100% accurate it is still very relevant and in my opinion it should be a legal requirement to give ofcom current and accurate information. This is just not for consumer use but also for business, the mobile networks are part of daily life and are thus involved in billions of pounds worth of trade every day.

If I took your advice and changed to Giff Gaff I wouldn't have any 3G internet at all, as its coverage around here is non existent - however I don't feel the need to share that point on every giff gaff deal posted here as my area is not representative of the entire UK......and neither is yours, so just because you may have had a poor experience, doesn't mean I will or the next person....
