First time poster, long time user.
Been looking for a Wii U with Mario Kart 8 both on line & high street for a while now. Finally manage to find, which I thought was a great deal.
Smyths currently selling the console for £169.99 and the game for £39.99 (more games to choose from) but offer a package deal saving around £50. Other places selling WiiU premium and MK8 for around £220 plus. Bargain!!

    Mario Kart 8 has been OOS for weeks


    I just picked mine up today. You have to select 'click & collect'. Once selected Mario Kart 8 should appear as 'in stock' but you'll have to collect from one of their stores.

    This deal has been on for ages.

    Plus a premium and MK8 should be much dearer than a basic and MK8. If you want to sell a premium console on you'll get much more for it.

    I know the deal has been on for a while, I was waiting for something better/cheaper but there wasn't.

    Yes you did but it was a refurb and only available at one branch of the argos refurb outlet store. The white Wii U console on own went very hot on here at £117 delivered from Amazon France a couple of weeks back, offer didn't last a day. MK8 is a must have game and you wont find it new for less than £40.. (was reading over 50% of all Wii owners own a copy).... At £160 I consider this a excellent deal... and I bought it.

    I am in the market for a Premium black Wii, with a Mario platform game or Mario Kart game. If its for a christmas present, which is the case with me, there is a lack of deals around right now, and nothing exciting. I won't consider paying more than £200 for a Premium Black, and am expecting it to fall to anything between £170 - £200 somewhere in the next 4 or 5 months. Even if Amazon can do a £200 premium deal, you can get another £15-20 off that with a Flubit.

    Not necessarily but stating a premium edition console as a comparison price is absolutely pointless.
    What you'd have been better off doing was saying you could pay £20 more elsewhere for a Basic + MK8 because then you're actually giving a price comparison of the same product.

    The difference between the two are that the basic console has 8gb internal storage and the premium has 32gb. You are able to increase the storage via SD card, flash drive and/or external HDD.

    Then there is the colour of course, basic is white and premium is black. With the premium you do get some additional accessories such as stands, docks, etc, but not worth the additional price IMO.

    Cool Thank you. i am thinking of buying this deal with super smash brothers then getting mario kart 8 from amazon. and also will need the pro controller. but looking forward to playing them
