sorted byNot worth it for you. I paid £350 for mine at launch and it's been well worth it. Fantastic console.

Not worth it? One of "those" people. I bet you never buy one.
EDIT: The bundle I got somehow came with Smash Bros instead of Nintendoland, so suddenly I prefer my purchase over this deal again :P

Heat added, more tempting than the sweet aisle.
My charging stand is not flimsy, it also allows my 7 year old to charge the controller very easily by placing it into this stand rather than risking a broken usb plug and socket.
Yoshi avatar? It's only a matter of time then...
Here you go - hotukdeals.com/dea…639 .
£159, Basic white, comes with Wii Remote Plus (£40), Nintendoland (£7), and Just Dance (probably £10... can't be bothered to look). That makes the console £102. If you buy Mario Kart (£32 on here earlier today), that would make it £134, and you said you wanted £150.
DO IT! :-)
I'd say the PC and Wii U is the perfect combination for gaming, you get the most diverse and best games IMHO, apart from a handful of good exclusives for the PS/Xbox. There aren't that many 3rd party games for the Wii U but the first party games are of a very, very high standard. I have a PS4 and I barely use it, the Wii U and PC get far more use.

Tbh they're only really noticeable in brightly lit rooms.
Plus if you had a white one, it'd likely be the only white piece of technology anywhere near your TV. Sticks out like a sore thumb.
Then again I have pretty bad OCD. I'm sure plenty of people are free to enjoy life and white Wii U's instead of worrying about pointless things like parking cars with the steering wheel left perfectly straight.
I have a Wii U and I must admit I spend more time playing GAMES on here than I do with my PS4 or XBO.
Thanks OP. I've now got a nice Wii U. And it got the wife's approval, as this is black, unlike the Wii.
And we can still play all the Wii games we already have.
I can't think of many downsides to be honest.
Now, what other games to get...
Nintendo land for £9.50 from Amazon:

Yeah if you drove into your living room. The distance between controller and console is poor, few metres I've found and requires line of sight.
That picture has me genuinely excited for gaming in 2015...... not felt like that in a while!
I'm not saying that the Wii U is a better console but the games are way more fun. My wife hates games but she loves chasing the kids around on Luigi's Mansion mini game on Nintendo Land. It's a great console that's criminally overlooked!
I got two of these from Amazon US

Were about £23 each and they're fantastic imho, much better than the usual quality you expect from third party pads and I think I prefer them to Nintendo's. Beware cheap 'official' pro controllers from eBay and Amazon, a lot of them are fakes.

£149.99 - money... mouth...
I agree. Hence the reason why we do have xbox's in our house however I was just stating that the Wii U has captivated my kids far more than the shiny new xbox. In my opinion I think a lot of people miss out through being narrow minded about graphics and power being the be all and end all. With the Wii U dropping to around the £200 mark I just hope that there are more adopters of the system. Get a PS4 or Xbox One by all means but for a flip side of gaming goodness, please drop all the "Nintendo is for kids rubbish" and discover what makes Nintendo so revered amongst older gamers.
I'd argue that they are now playing to their strengths i.e. first party Nintendo games. As for graphics, well I for one think that Mario Kart 8 was visually stunning and super smooth, plus it worked perfectly straight out of the box. On the flip side I bought Assassins Creed Unity and Master Chief Collection in the build up to Christmas and they were quite frankly broken upon release. Despite numerous patches (MCC is taking up a whopping 60GB of my hard drive, 3 times more than Destiny) I'd argue that they are still broken now. So graphics and power do not necessarily make a good game. Talent and quality however control do.
For anyone interested in just the Basic bundle
I would disagree, console wise the Wii was a shambles but saved Nintendo in sales figures.
The Wii U is a fantastic console that has had a poor start (hardly surprisingly because of poor marketing and gamer interest...once bitten twice shy) but is slowly gaining in sales.
Thanks very much
32Gb or space rather than 8Gb. The colour. Also some flimsy charging stand and a couple of pieces of plastic that prop up your Wii U making it vertical and covering the ventilation slots
So yeah, all in all.... very.... "premium"
