    LOOOOOOL!

The image appears to show they have given it .... go faster stripes?!? .... seriously? X)

And sound effects? Does it make "vroom vroom" noises when you power it up?

Is this like having a car bed?

(ps. next level my eye ..... Project CARS in VR. THAT is next level .... although, I'll need to get my PC onto Win 10 so I can try the beta of Forza Apex. 1440p res is a good start. But they HAVE to do a VR update for it!)

I'm pretty sure it does do the vroom vroom. What are you doing messing about with Project cars? You should be on Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally

Project CARS has Oculus CV1 support. Simple.

    The other two don't. Yet.

I didn't think the CV1 had shipped yet. Is it any good?

I was one of the people sat at 4pm when pre-orders opened hammering F5 until I got through. Got my order in about 40 minutes after pre-orders opened (would have been sooner except for the stupid looking bank initially refusing the transaction on my credit card). Got my unit a week ago. (Delay was not as bad as expected)

A friend is a kickstarter backer and has DK1 & 2. So I can see the difference between each iteration. And I'm well happy with the consumer version. (Running on an i7-6700 & 980ti)

    Broadly.

It needs touch/motion controllers of some sort. The gamepad is a poor substitute and a lot more limiting.

And it needs more software. But I expected that. It's early days.

But the good stuff (Project CARS being one of the best - doubly so as I also use a Logitech wheel) is fantastic. Forza on a flat screen is dull and boring compared to CARS in VR. (Although I'll still give Apex beta a bash...)

Once it matures and evolves though, I can't see me playing much flat screen stuff. VR is next gen. Consoles with a little more power than the last lot, are not. MS need something like hololens for XB1 or they will left in the dust once PS:VR launches. (Although I'm now hearing rumours that a PS4.5 may be required to run the VR stuff? Although I haven't bothered doing any checking to see if there is any truth in that. Makes sense though as good VR needs a lot of grunt to drive it ...)
