How easy is it to cancel? Is it like Xbox where you have to call them or can you do it online or in the dash?

It's very straightforward ... and you can do it online. Just make sure that auto renew is turned off in the preferences

Are there any things you can get for free on Plus that you get to keep?
#4
question - can all this be done on a PC?

I did have a modded PS3 from eons back, but that won't be getting connected at all, and never used the online profile apart from maybe a couple of days....however I have got my son a PS Vita for xmas, and have a PS4 on preorder (whilst deciding whether to keep or cancel the order).

Would be great if could get this done online, purchase the free PS Vita, PS3 (just in case get a 2nd ps3 in the future), and PS4 free titles that are available as part of the Playstation Plus, before they are removed as part of the PS+ Package. Then a few weeks later, closer to actually having the Vita and PS4 take out a proper sub (and thereby reactivating the PS+ bought games)

It just says insufficient funds in my wallet.. I am a ps3 member but never paid for +?
#8
you keep the games when membership runs out as long as you dont delete them

no you don't? You need to be connected to PS to confirm the validity of the PS+ account (referring to the free PS+ games)

Can this be saved for when my PS4 arrives at the end of the month? No point in activating it now if I have nothing to play on.

just spotted this - think it applies to us in UK too

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/11/15/buy-a-ps-vita-get-one-month-of-playstation-plus-at-no-extra-cost/

Free 1 month if we have recently bought a PS Vita (got one for the kids) - fantastic :) So I'll activate the 2 week trial soon, get the games 'purchased for this month and the beginning of the next month batch

Then when the next 'psn month' starts with different games, I'll register for the free month of PS+ :)
#14
It says I can't purchase because I already own PS Plus. I've never used it before!
#15
Majority of users won't be able to use the free trial as they had the free trial as part of the welcome back package years ago
#16
anyone know when this trial promo ends? Trying to hold off til its nearer the month crossover point...but can't see when the expiry of the offer itself is

Does anyone else get the error:

Site not available.

The Sony Entertainment Network Store is currently not available?
#22
well I've just started my trial......cancelled the auto renewal so should be no problems there.

I've added all the PS3 and Vita stuff (on the PC website) that is free on the account, except for Uncharted 3 Single Player....which for some reason says

"you need PlayStation Plus To Add Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Single Player to your cart."

Anyone else able to add this to their basket?
#23
Hi can anyone help please, I registered with PSN for the two week FREE trial and added the Free games to my basket and purchased. How do you go into your account to turn off the automatic renewal before the 14 day trial ends, I can't find it within my account settings?

You need to go into Playstation Network on the XMB, then goto Account Management and select Transaction Management then goto Services List and select your PS+ subscription and Cancel it...

Hi thanks for your reply gerrymig. I've only registered online using my PC. I haven't registered my PS Vita console yet, I am waiting nearer to Christmas to take advantage of the one months free trial. So I have to go online via PC to try and stop the renewal...any ideas on how to do that?

I'm looking through the website now.

If click on My Settings on top right where your login name is

Give it your password again if it asks you (it has for me)

click "Media"

click "Games"

find "Playstation Plus" amongst the games

the subscription option should be in there to cancel the auto renewal
#27
I think I've found out how to cancel the automatic renewal.

1. Sign In to Sony Entertainment Network
2. Select and go to Media/Games
3. Select the current membership and click ‘Cancel Automatic Renewal’.
4. Select and go to Account/Wallet and click 'NO' on Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions or Pay for Pre-ordered Content.

Useful information on how to do it can be found on these two links
Cancelling membership to a subscription service

Hi, I've just purchased Guacamelee/GTA Liberty Stories and Sonic and all stars Transformed which are FREE on PS+ as of 27/11/2013.

I'm new to the PS+ store and I haven't registered my sons Xmas PS Vita console yet (waiting nearer to Xmas). Do I just leave the Free games in the 'Download List' section until I need them later to download, or do I have to click the 'Download' button now to add them to the 'Download Queue', or can I do this later. I don't want to lose the games, can anyone say what is the correct procedure please?
#29
aah thanks for the reminder to add the new games. So long as you click "Proceed To Checkout" and then "Confirm Purchase" at £0 then I believe you should be able to add them to the download queues any time you want.

Someone else will be able to confirm the downloading queue info too I'm sure...but as they're now "bought" can't see why not

Heres another trial that might be useful to someone, I got it with a game purchase: 85QG 9JNM BFH4 (This is a 30 day trial, better then the one which comes with the PS4)

This also expires on 31st December 2013.
