I thought i had posted in this thread and had forgotten for a moment there.

For me this is useless, if i am within 10 miles of home, i know people who can tow me home, both at uni and at parents. I didn't realise i had the same package with Green Flag, until i needed it 12 miles from home!

What i need it for is when i travel all over the country, we do a lotr of camping, up to Blackpool at Whit, Devon Summer holiday and Bridlington at August Bank Holiday, not to mention travelling to Liverpool and back to see parents and family.

Thought you just had to be more than quarter of a mile from home?

Yup, that's the problem, i don't want towing to a a garage, i will always want towing home, i did used to work part time as a mechanic during my college years, so i can have a little tinkle, at home in my garage, before i give up and take it to a a garage, don't want to take it to a garage.

Imagine their faces, a car comes in that doesn't run, miles away from home and they need it fixed, they can charge whatever they want, knowing you're pretty much stuck.

So in conclusion, i want my breakdown cover to have full home recovery, to be repaired on my terms

they tow u home if your close to home within 10 miles I think. Otherwise they tow you to a garage. You dont have to have work done there though.
or buy the next package up if you want towing home from anywhere in uk
