When used with specially designed games, Wii MotionPlus tracks players' movements in finer detail and with greater accuracy than ever before, building upon the innovative wireless function of the motion-sensing Wii Remote controller. Even the slightest twist of the wrist or turn of the body is replicated exactly on the TV screen, allowing users to become even more immersed in Wii gameplay. Wii MotionPlus is designed for easy attachment to the Wii Remote controller (sold separately).

Not a bad price at all, will have to wait and see if ShopTo, amazon, HMV etc.., can do better.

Good deal... as the wii has been hacked to death now and the games can be accessed for "virtually free"

You are joking, right? This is only coming bundled with Wii Sports Resort. If you do not want Wii Sports Resort but you want one of the tennis games (Virtua Tennis or Grand Slam Tennis) then you will need to purchase this seperately.

Tell me about it.

Nintendo are very clever. They know people would buy a Wii when it came out as it was a new concept. Now they know people will buy a MotionPlus as its a more advanced version of their initial concept.

Much like the DSi. The next DSi will have a 3mp camera etc. Its their business to keep people interested. Unfair though!!

Wonder how long it will take them to ship with new wii console packages?

In the next few months will have a better idea whats in sport resorts too, it hasn't really exicted me yet.

In one of the fencing/sword fighting clips on youtube the player is moaning its not jabbing as they wanted or something .. not registering properly, hmmmm.

Anyone know what this does? I assume it just sends the same motion signals as the remote already does? Or does it add a new measurement?

At the momemt the Wii remote only gives "swipes". The new MotionPlus gives 1:1 movement to the Wii.

For example, the new Grand Slam Tennis. You can perform slices, twist the racket in your hand as you serve etc. With the current Wii remote you can only hit the ball back over the net without putting any variation on it.

The MotionPlus is going to be fantastic for sports games like tennis, cricket (if they ever bring one out!!), golf etc. It will also be great for games with sword fighting etc.

i don't think it's some clever marketing ploy to sell twice to us, i suspect it far more of a case of the technology not being there (or at least not cost effective, small enough at the time of launch) - but i agree with the notion it's about time they got a fix for it

Apart from graphics and odd fixes, Nintendo have accomplished a lot with the Wii.

I am looking forward to the MotionPlus.

It is a good deal for what it is, but when I think one of these plus a Wiimote will end up coming in at just under a combined total of £50 it makes me think! (Plus £10 - £15 for the Nunchuk!)

I mean the console only costs £144 at Head!
