Can you suggest some 15 rated films....

That are actually suitable for 15 year old?

Most films I see these days with a 15 tag I would be horrified to let my daughter watch.
Well she turns 15 tomorrow and I want to get her some 15 films, but want some that aren't quite so, erm American Pie.. lol

So far I'm thinking Dirty Dancing and Beetlejuice, good but old. Any more ideas?

Not that I'm in any way against your efforts to protect your daughter, dont you think its a bit cotton wool like?

society changes, whats acceptable now wasnt acceptable when you were 15, kids are getting older, sooner and loose their innosence from a younger age.

18 films are allowed to be viewed from 10pm, 15's from 8pm are you telling me that until your daughter is 15 you dont let her watch tv after 8?

    its RUDE! lol.

my daughter is a very young 15, only child and all that. So maybe films a parent would let an average 13-14 year old watch.

Speed is a good idea, thanks!

She doesn't watch tv, if she does she watches the Disney channel or nickelodeon, her choice not mine. Like I said, shes a young 15.

My daughter and friends (all around 15) absolutely love Gothika, it is quite a scary movie but seems to fall into the correct age group, not sure what the age restriction on it is but after watching it, it seems okay. And no, I would not let them watch American Pie.

Mean Girls is a twelve and pretty good.

Of the 15 certificate movies I would say any of the 'Frat pack' movies would be fine like Dodgeball, Oldschool, Anchorman ect as they are more crude than rude but Oldschool does have mild female nudity in one scene.

You would be hard pressed to find a 15 that wasn't a little rude as that is the point of them getting a 15 certificate.

Avoid Superbad and most Judd Apatow movies. It's a fantastic movie but you being offended by the language in American Pie would probably have a heart attack at the language in that.

Yes I know, I don't mind a bit rude, or bad language, or a bit violent/scary. Its just she loves to watch HSM. hannah montana etc, it might be a bit of a step to go to american pie and superbad, lol

Do you think she would be after a comedy or something spooky/scary or maybe even an action movie.

Just to get an idea of the level could you give an example of a 15 you would let her watch.

She loves sci fi type things as well as really girly stuff, she is obsessed with smallville at the moment, loves dr who. I would probably let her watch something a bit scary, so long as it wasn't massively gory. There's been some good suggestions here, will probably let her watch Gothika. I just think it would be a total shock to her system to just let her watch any rated 15 film, I'd rather ease her into them, lol.

    When A Stranger Calls

Rated fifteen scary movie where only one person actually dies and stars tween favourite Camille Belle. Never seen it though.

I, Robot with Will Smith is a fifteen as well.

Unless it is a surprise you could always ask what movies she would like to watch then you ask on here if anyone thinks they may corrupt her fragile fifteen year old mind.

Lol, she's just kinda in "OMG I'll be 15 so i can watch rated 15 films YAY" mode at the moment, I don't think she cares what it is, so long as its a 15 lol.

Does it mention the fact Swayze was in his thirties when he played the part and is propositioning a girl of sixteen in the movie. :?

Serenity is a fantastic movie if you know the TV series firefly (can be enjoyed without it but it's nice to know the characters).

Don't think the OP would appreciated the discussions about the Vagtastic Voyage if she thinks American Pie is rude.

Tropic Thunder is a fifteen and is out to buy on PlayUSA on region 1 now.
