sorted byPersonally, I think it would be fine.
I'd go on one of the tyre sites where you put the reg in and it gives you the tyre required, if the load rating is above that then it should be fine.

i wanted to keep it the same kinda tyre on it.
speed rating may scupper this
greg, yea part worn. they cost over 100 quid new but have 5.5mm on them
the 87V are Load rated at 545kg @ 149mph
the 91V are Load rated at 615kg @ 149mph
So its not a case of legality as the rolling road of the tyres makes no difference as they are the same size.
As long as they are within the tolerances for your vehicle then there should be no issue in regards to safety.
MOT Regs on Tyre Inspections
Only Class 5 & 7 are inspected for Load ratings it would appear.

how do i find out my class?
sorry for asking all the questions lol
i put 2 goodyears on the front n right away braking at 40mph or more i feel the shudder in the sterring wheel, garage said it could be the wheels
(edited)
Yes, youre right. Just about to reply with the same.
A Car is generally a class 4.
The shudder could be numerous things.
Poor Balance, warped rims or just a bad tyre, both don't have to be bad to cause a shudder it could have been one side.
It could even have been a warped brake disc or sticky caliper.
it passed its MOT the day i got them changed aswell lol
i assume its the tyres
but i would not do it cross axle... in fact i would not mix any tyres cross axle...
in fact... I would not use part worns!

Should make no difference as the original tyres on the car are a lower load rating tread pattern and rolling road identical so in theory these would be less likely to blow out at 149mph (haha)
I agree though its good practice to keep matching pairs per axle.
Agreed on the part worns though never been a fan.
Remoulds, Part Worns & Budgets all also known as Ditch Finders
