Ecstatic customers celebrated their bargains by posting photos online of their huge hauls of the chocolates. Others used the treats to spell out 'Tesco' and 'yay'. Shoppers were able to combine a three-for-£5 deal on the chocolate with another buy-one-get-one-free offer. However, the glitch applied a further discount when the chocolates were bought in multiples of six.
