Think I might get this for my brother! One day left of the 1/2 price delivery.

Some new codes for Poundland - FEB30 for £3 off £30 spend (thanks to GeenBeen) and FEB10 gives you £1 off £10 (thanks pken04) - if you're not willing to spend £20 or £30.
Silk Soft Purrfect Cream 2-ply, 6 rolls, £1 or case of 240 (!) £240 http://www.poundland.co.uk/home-and-pet/household-accessories/kitchen-roll-and-tissue/silk-soft-purrfect-cream seems to have been taken off the online store and the white version says "instore only" http://www.poundland.co.uk/silk-soft-white-toilet-roll-6-pack

2-ply toilet roll is a false economy as you use more (Nicky Elite 3-ply devotee here!) but the currently available 9 pack promo packs instore, versus the regular 6 pack, make Silk Soft a decent buy.

I was in a SportsDirect store just after Xmas. For anyone wondering, they don't have the premium scents instore (I asked). I saw Adidas, David Beckham, 007, but no bigger names.
Well, re Sports Direct packaging concerns - I got a few small bits delivered, all put in a plastic bag. Two out of the three jumbo bags of crisps were completely burst! Cheese powder all over my hands and the other items! You'd think the (Yodel) courier would have noticed?
Okay, just got mine - bubble wrapped! Don't know who does the packing but maybe they're not consistent? I'd complain if I was you.

I'm giving mine away as gifts too - not good! A bit of bubble wrap wouldn't hurt :( Haven't got mine yet.

Prefer Lush but good alternative at good price. Hot
Are they as strong smelling as Lush as our daughter is a lush fan and these are considerably cheaper but look very similar?
On Boxing Day... Lush have a sale, nearly EVERYTHING is half price. They don't advertise the sale and things sell out quick. Instead of buying my daughter lush this year, I've bought her a voucher so we can go on Boxing Day and lots of goodies.
I thought it was either Christmas eve/day. Is it definitely Boxing day? Is that from midnight on Christmas day?
These look great. A fraction of Lush prices, even if (as expected) they are slightly inferior.

I purchased 3 to get free delivery - 2 of this type and a third which was "Joy Noel".

Cheers!
Brewer
Thank you, ordered a few for gifts
I sneaked in last night and bought one for myself! They are smaller than lush and not quite as strong but you can't beat the price.

Just opened up my bottle (bought a few for Xmases). The bottle is very pretty - my favourite perfumes are Chanel Allure Sensuelle, Elie Saab, Miss Dior Le Parfum* - the bottle wouldn't look out of place from a higher-end scent brand.

I have a weakness for strong, caramel-y or oriental type scents. This is less in your face than my usual, but very pleasant and comforting. Think it's a perfume a lot of people would like. Not sure how long it will last on my skin though!

I tried a tester in TJ's before I bought mine :)

*apparently all of these perfumes have the vanilla note in common with La Bella

I bought it instore (see picture), but I think the TJ Hughes site delivery charge differs by weight? I haven't ordered from their website, to be honest. Better buying instore if you're nearby.

They have stores throughout East Anglia, ...

I heard they closed their store in Colchester last month as they could no longer afford the rent
http://www.gazette-news.co.uk/news/13619354.QD_to_shut_after_it_is_outbid_on_rent/

From their store finder, they've not opened another one there. Nor is there one in Chelmsford.

But all is not lost, there's still one in Clacton! :D

I think that tells you the type of store, and their target market, we are dealing with here.

Edit: Apparantly, the “large national company” that outbid QD on the rent was PoundLand, which already has two stores in the town oO

THESE ARE NOT ORIGINAL - the cheap ones always have less segments
Really? They look the same size to me, and actually in what way do you mean not original? It's a Terry's Chocolate Orange, not a fake one, so best not to SHOUT! ;)
These weren't cheap originally, they've just been reduced to 99p as part of their 30th Birthday.
My mum used to work in their factory and she used to be allowed to take home 'rejected' ones for free (wrong shape, wrong ingredients, wrong size, missing etc). Then some bright spark at the company decided to sell them to discount stores and pound shops instead.
Fair enough, you must be sick of eating these things.
Can't say I'd notice though, and tbh if I've paid 99p, I'm not going to worry too much if I've lost a few segments. However, I would be worried if I'd paid £3.25 as someone mentioned and the only difference is I've got a couple of extra segments ...see what I mean? I could buy 3 of these (actually I got 5!) and still have change.;)
Yeah but i don't get sick of eating them. Fun Trivia, my mum was told they don't use any real orange in them! or anything related to orange, so thats why they had to shape it like an orange in order to keep the name after they got sued for false advertising.
What shape was it before? oO

i believe it was a flat bar similar to dairy milk. they tried using marmalade filling inside the chocolate before they decided to change the shape.

Yeah, I'm old enough to remember pink tipped cigarette candy sticks (when they were actually sold to kids as sweetie ciggies, we even puffed on them like grown-ups), I even remember ripping open a packet of "Camel" brand cigs, sold in the tuck shop, that were chocolate flavoured. Sigh.
And no, I never became a smoker :p!
Lols me too I do remember the chocolate ones and yes I did smoke for about 2 years on a social level but gave up before I was 20 through boredom lols, and then back to the sweet shop, much more enjoyable xx thanks for posting have found a poundworld in Telford so am going to pop in x

Yeah unfortunately no Farmfoods near me so Budgens at £1.50 will do. Oddly my local Tesco have stopped doing the smaller bars. Thought it was just them but now I'm getting worried they're discontinued!

That's how it started! The two near us stopped and just stock the banana ones (Urrgh) now, then Asda stopped and I'm worried they've been discontinued.

I was in a newsagents the other day and spotted some on the shelf so bought the lot of them :D

I think this is a little unfair getting a cold rating, It's usually only ever as low as £1.50 when it is on offer. People seem to forget that there aren't a lot of Farmfoods in certain places
The big bars r £1 in farm foods if u have o e near u :)

These are horrible compared to Jelly Belly. Avoid!
Nonsense. They're virtually identical but have more variety.
Now you are having a laugh. Nowhere near the same quality, not even remotely.

Wish I hadn't found this thread. Wild goose chase to Asda in Chelmer Valley (Essex), big store. They never seem to have any of the good deals and that was the case again today. So annoying.

euww yuk... no we dont!!
Look the fillings, root canals, diabetes and black mouth aside black jacks are a rather amazing creation. They taste so good. I like to think of them as the forbidden apple in the garden Eden. OK you get kicked out of some rubbish garden for all eternity BUT a bag of these bad boys could last all day!

Mine didn't have them at those bargain prices. Never mind. ):

I did stand there at the kids sweets shelf with a list of your bar-codes, though. There were only Maoam and Refresher bars; their bar-codes matched the ones on my list. I got excited and wondered for a moment if I should grab twenty or just one of each.

So I eventually made up my mind and bought only two, which was good for me otherwise I could have paid 2.00 or returned them. >_<

I'm disappointed with my Tesco. -.-
All scanned full price at my local :( X

That's why I used a cheeky smiley face. For such a short sentence it had a lot of mistakes.

Have they resolved the sealing problems?

Like you say, marmite pedals - I prefer Shimano. The M530 are available for less than £20 delivered at Merlin http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/mtb-parts/transmission-gears/pedals-mtb/shimano-pedals/shimano-m530-trail-spd-pedals.html?
What do you prefer about SPD?

Dunno, always used em I s'pose. Been using spuds since the mid 90s and would be too much of a faff to change all my pedals and cleats now.
Don't know Never tried it , don't like the smell :P
does marmite look good but fall apart?
don't be tempted. just buy. miles ahead of shimano.
