I need to connect 7 network cables to my Virgin Media Superhub 3.
I guess I need to buy a switch.
Can someone please suggest an appropriate switch or hub with 8 ports.
Also, how would I go about configuring the Superhub to accept the connections from the switch/hub?
Or is there some other way to connect 7 network cables to the Superhub 3?

sorted bymake sure you buy a gigabit switch.
netgear 5 port gigabits are about a tenner from amazon delivered next day with prime
That would leave 6 that could be used.
8 port gigabit switch, from tplink or NETGEAR, plug it all in and you'll be sorted. No configuration necessary with a switch.
It's £15 on Amazon.

thre are 5 or so ports already available on the superhub. so dont need another 8
I need 7 free ports.
The Superhub has 4 ports total.
One of which will be occupied by a network cable to the switch, leaving 3 free.
The switch will lose one port, occupied by the network cable from the Superhub.
Therefore, I would require a switch with a minimum of 5 ports.
I conclude I would be best of with an 8 port switch, to allow for any additional network cable requirements in the future.
