Wait for what? That it's illegal to use on public roads.
Who cares? I've had one for 6 months, ride it everywhere and never had any trouble with the law. I think if you don't ride like a d**k head you've got nothing to worry aboutlazerlyte18/11/2019 22:13

Yes, I would be mentally exhausted if trying to ride this for 9 miles. I find 3 miles is about my max.
Great device, been using for almost 2 years now.
Some tips:
* If you don't have solid tyres, make sure they are at a high pressure and put in that green slime stuff.
* Order spare inner tubes in advance- you will need them.
* Regularly tighten up the bolts, especially around the folding mechanism.
* Put some tape or shim in the folding mechanism to reduce wear (look online)
* Do not drive into curbs, or any drops/bumps at all really.
* Do not drive it fast passed any pedestrians, especially from behind. Best to dismount if near anyone in fact.
* Download the Android 'm365 tools' app- I'll start off... But these arent road legal!!!

And the comments that comment about illegal and wait for it comments are equally boring- According to that link the Warranty is void if it is ridden anywhere other than private land. Or in the rain. Not great then! Interestingly notes it can cover 2 miles in 8 minutes - that's a vast expanse of private land.
- I think they're great. Each time I see one illegally coming down the road (or pavement is even better) I step in front of them hoping for an 'accident'. The fact they're illegal is the best bit from my perspective. Where there's blame there's a claim 🤕 (edited)

Our Government still thinks Weed is a B drug and it's a "escape drug" which will lead you to do black tar heroin
Point is forget about the useless governments say so (edited) lazerlyte18/11/2019 23:02

The police sent notices to my work asking who I was and that if they caught me on it they would take it and i wouldn't get it back because it wasn't licensed.
"If they catch you". That's funny. Would they pursue you on foot, by car, or on horseback?R_Owen18/11/2019 22:22

Just attempted tonight to cover my ~9 mile trip from full charge, but after about 7.5 miles, it's already on its last battery indicator LED, and it goes like crawling, which is pointless - why do I need it if it goes even slower than I can walk?

You do no one any favours by encouraging them to think these are legal to ride in public. The vendors themselves have warned buyers that they are not.- I got the pro version for £363.40 from Gearbest if anyone is interested...

Voted hot though as from a UK seller (edited) - I like the selling point 'good for the environment'. Obviously more electric trash using rare earth metals is definitely good for the environment. Walk and get fit.

Imagine being branded a criminal for an eco-friendly commute to work. UK …Imagine being branded a criminal for an eco-friendly commute to work. UK law needs to be changed to allow public use, if done so safely.
In the meantime, riding these in public constitutes several criminal offences, and some people have been fined, had points on their licence, and their scooters seized. Others have got away with it so far. Getting away with it does not make it legal.dogger351319/11/2019 09:28
Lost me @ Maximum user weight 100kg !! :/
Can i risk with 102? Or i have to go naked to meet this limit- I have a year now to use this every day to go work and back (5-5 miles) travelling next to the canal in London. If I have to calculate I saved around £800 to not go by bus and also time because I don't had to sit in the traffic.I would recommend to everyone after 1 year no fault at all battery still good I only changed to solid tires to don't get punctured anymore. It is illegal on the road but well police seen me few times but they never stopped me as they seen I'm not act like crazy. You just need to take care of people who's walking on the road. Many things are illegal but people still doing things.. this scooter is funny because in other countries is a must have tools for the public and also legal.

My scooter is the pro. Fits perfectly. I also installed an extra 12.8Ah battery you can see the bag also (has the battery wired to the main battery). It cost $110 with DHL shipping. £89 roughly and delivered in a week or less.deleted164405419/11/2019 16:47

Typo- dahat meant "you will be fined", but his spelling skills are poor.
Please corroborate this statement with evidence. Preferably with links to dubious tabloid articles that are in essence all copied from the same source.
P. S. The tabloids are reporting this morning that these things are now 99.1% legal due to the great work of the HUKD scooter Tzar
Cheers pal!- Excellent find OP,heated

The problem is that there's a lot of d**kheads out there who spoil it for everyone else.- I had a single wheel electric unicycle, never rode like a dick, 4 miles down the bypass to and from work using the cycle path. Sorry but this is 100% wrong. Scooters have become 98.7% legal since being championed on HUKD and featured in minor publications and the HOC- These have shoddy QA and build quality. Got one recently that got a flat tyre after 3 journeys. The supplied inner tube has a valve that is impossible to fit inside the wheel. Ridiculous design. The wheel itself has to be boiled or heated in microwave to even fit over. Absolute crap and not worth the hassle

"Go after you like any criminal"... no need for concern then
Imagine being branded a criminal for an eco-friendly commute to work. I was in London at weekend and saw 3 people riding these, all riding safely. I was in Hamburg a few weeks ago and the entire city was full of them. As many others have said, UK law needs to be changed to allow public use, if done so safely.
