You'll find that the vast majority @ nufc including myself are season ticket holders. Thats why the attendances at SJP are always 48000-52000 for every premier league game. There's usually a drop for the cup games, although the Benfica game is selling like hotcakes where the tickets are only £15. (week on thursday). The £20 tickets will be the areas reserved for away fans. I can only assume that the Fulham away support havn't taken up their full allocaton.

As a ST holder, if these are in the unsold away fans area, then you'd better take an oxygen mask and a pair of binoculars, as you're so high up. I'd rather pay the extra for a decent seat with a decent view everyweek, than relying on the off chance of a few cheaper tickets, a few times a season.
But to be fair £20 to watch a Premier league match regardless of the view is pretty good value.

To add - Before I got my season ticket I did take my young son to a few matches in this area, and it's not really suitable for under 14yr olds, based on the fact that you are the in the seats between the away fans and the NUFC Level 7 fans. And the bad language and persistant standing isn't really suitable for younsters.

Just keep telling yourself that.Fulham aside, there are no "easy" games … Just keep telling yourself that.Fulham aside, there are no "easy" games left at all. That joke of a cup will make it even harder.Just a good job Villa have the worst of the lot.

With a +11 goal difference over Villa it may as well be four points and the Toon do have an easier run in - thats a fact. I fancy Wigan and Villa to dodge the bullet and the Mackams to go down, i bet Dicanio has them goosestepping already. Facist leadership really does not have a good track record - Your new manager is a complete nut case btw - and i am qualifed to comment as a Swindon Town season ticket holder. Good luck you are going to need it!

And before you say he did well for town, he did - but he also spent £7million quid over budget on countless unplayed (now) loanees and then smashed up the club office when he was told he could not spend anymore, very professional.

HEAT, add into the mix it's still a 6 pointer.

Shhhhhhh. Didn't you know? Being only 3 points above the drop zone, and 2 above your local rivals, with a tougher run in, means you're perfectly safe in mid table.

Don't tell anyone though. The media might catch on.

I'm not saying we haven't got it tough, and we're in a risky spot. Your intial point though was flawed in that we have an easier run in than Sunderland. Therefore, I have no idea what it is you're trying to say? That the media coverup Newcastle's problems? Where have you been hiding during the Premiership era - anything that happens on Tyneside gets blown up to ludicrous proportions.

Hopefully the facist nonsense down the road gives someone else a turn.

I'm a life long Fulham fan, and rate Sunderland fans in higher esteem than you lot. At least they know they're **** when they're playing ****, you lot still fancy yourselves as contenders for a European place. The real reason your tickets are £20, is to make sure your attendance is rammed for a 6 pointer against us, and have that 12th man. Idiots!

Good deal btw, but as usual, the ST holders lose out. Its the same down here. Buy a ST for 400 quid or whatever, only to find that for 10 of the 20 games, the club offers cheap tickets.

Don't think it's a huge problem for the Fulham game though, with their presumably weak away following. Won't be any persistent standing in the block on sale - will be families mainly, based on prior, similar offers.

You have to call in at box office for a student ticket. If you buy an OAP one though for £5, when you scan it through the turnstile it only comes up with "Concession" so you'd get away with it.

    I am a Fulham fan,

I go there when I can,

    But like my fellow fans,

    I rarely go away.

I work shifts, etc so try to go to a few odd games a year. I have been to Qpr and Man City this year, as well as a few home games, got those tickets on Viagogo, get some good deals for non-big games etc. I see tickets for this newcastle game on Viagogo for £16-20.. (Plus p+p). I would be tempted, Newcastle is an interesting place, but working.

Many Fulham games, home or away, One can often get tickets quite easily, we don't have the strongest away support in the world.

It's one club where a clash with the Boat Race could have a big affect on attendance...

But Georgie Best and Bobby Moore once played for them, so that's why they are my club

The cottage is a nice freindly stadium with nice hot dogs! But if you get sat in the open corner next to the river (away) its bloody freezing!!!

Even at these prices I don't think it's worth going to see the toon as the atmosphere is crap and feels more like a library these days and I often turn free family / friend tickets down. Before idiots jump in, I'm a long time fan who remembers the good times of 36,000 cramming in the Gallowgate jumping with the huge flags being passed around an hour before the game and no matter where I have tried sitting, Bar 1892, up in the gods etc it's the same - you get looked at like a weirdo for shouting or trying to get a chant going.

I suspect it's not just St James' Park and is more to do with the all seating stadiums / people who can afford season tickets these days but as the beautiful game has long since been beautiful to me due to the greed of both owners and players alike and as result I haven't bothered visiting Anfield or some of the other grounds that used to have equally noisy reputations to see if it is just SJP but have started watching the local non league teams these days. Rant over
