    It's back -12th Feb only!

20x points from Rakuten with NO limit on how many points and valid on EVERYTHING
    27106205-3UU4B

Basically, for those that don't know, whatever you buy, you get 20% back of what you spend in Rakuten Superpoints (Like Rakuten Credit).

You can spend it on whatever you want, so say you get £30 back on a PS4, nab yourself a game for free.

How much is the 20x Super Points promo worth??

For every £1 you spend, for one day only you'll get 20 Super Points - these will be credited to your Rakuten account usually within a couple of weeks of your order being sent to you.

20 SuperPoints is worth 20p, and once they're credited to your account you can spend them on anything you like! It's worth noting that super points can expire - check the T&C of the promo to find out how long your points will last.

What if i cancel my order?

Super Points are only credited once the seller return window has closed, meaning if you cancel or return your order you won't get your points.

How do I know how many Super Points I have?

Just sign in to your Rakuten account, any account credits will show on there and will be ready to spend on the next big deal!

I cannot believe how many people have fallen for their marketing as their products are crap and overpriced.

Buy Yamaha if you want a soundbar

Or you pay full price for the Wii U premium pack and get potentially £42 off your next purchase?

Bit off topic with this deal - but I can't believe how poor this retailer website has gotten since the former Play.com days. Received an e-mail yesterday with a limited offer of 200 points (essentially £2 off) that had to be spent before midnight-assume I'm still registered. Even with free money on offer I gave up after 10 minutes - really awful browsing experience and it seems like they're just pimping out the site to third party sellers these days. Voted Hot for spamming the post though!

Yes it's just a marketplace these days I believe. There are some shady outfits operating through it as well, I'd be careful spending money through them. Having said that I'm typing this on a Nexus 6 I got through them from Expansys (another terrible retailer, but they do at least have a phone number) which gave me £70 of points that I put towards a PC case. The case was from a seller I'd never heard of, but I did my research and found their eBay page with many positive reviews. They also dealt with a stock query very amicably over the phone. So I think if you're careful you can save a considerable amount, otherwise just stick to Amazon

... The Wii U costs £210. Usually, you would get 210 points, but now you get 20x that, which is 4200. How is that confusing?

Having used Expansys many times, both directly and via Rakuten; I have had no issues at all. Everything as described, perfectly packaged. Sent by next day delivery even though I paid for standard delivery. Had an issue with one the items within warranty and they sorted pick up, repair and return. I would call them an excellent retailer.

Such a flawed concept. Reward points back when purchasing from a seller, who can alter their prices in an instant (everything's prices rocket). Then when you get your points they have an expiry date, meaning after that date everyone puts their prices back down. Then a new 20x points promotion comes back.... The cycle. Way of making you think you're saving more than you actually are at the same time as getting publicity.

However, fair play to them it seems to work!

You do need to be careful with Rakuten. There was a shop selling TVs that I reported that had an email address that was like silly12345@gmail.com and googling the mobile phone number referred to a website that was suspended as they hadn't paid their bills.

Having said that, I have got some great bargains by mixing voucher codes, points and cashback so heat added. Just treat it like ordering from ebay and research the retailer

I ordered something from one of the sellers in October and they said they didn't have the item in stock and would have to refund, I had to ring up nearly a dozen times and got quite a few emails promising a points refund from rakuten that never happened. Rakuten also said I might not get the points back even though it wasn't my fault and it is only in the last few days after 3 months of badgering that they have refunded them.

You have to chase them up, and the whole process is slow. I made a £100 purchase in December during their x15 points promotion...retailer Fox Direct did not fulfil it until mid-January and only x1 points were applied to my order.

It takes around a week after your order ships for your order to progress from 'shipped' to 'complete' whereby they process your super points to even discover if they have applied the correct amount of points to an order.

If incorrect as in my instance, a phone call to them will sort it out...however they say this can take up to ten working days. In my case I had an email authorising them within a couple of days...however even then after a day or two I noticed they had not gone on my account.

A further phone call to them explained that it can take a few days for them to show on your account, and they did, around 5-6 days after my initial phone call.

It's a slow administration process, but they will add on points if questioned. That does not stop me from not being impressed with Rakuten or their merchant Fox Direct though and I would only use them if price dictated a significant saving compared to elsewhere.

If it is anything like me, you will have very few days to redeem the Superpoints. They apply them after 8 days or so and then expect you to use them within a week typically, without reminding you that you have been credited them or when they will expire. I had to go overseas and so missed all my superpoints late last year, and there has been absolutely no compromise from Rakuten, and they have refused to share any complaints procedure with me to escalate it anywhere other than through there anonymous web help handlers. I then asked for a Deadlock Letter and they have clammed up without a response whatsoever. I feel very upset by this and think it is very unfair. So be warned. Review the T&Cs and don't expect any come back from them. They don't give a monkeys. Superpoints are a gimmick AFAIAC

Not like me to be so upset, but I am really aggrieved on this one occasion with them because I have used Play/Rakuten for years without any problems prior to this superpoints expiry issue.
