I've always had my PCs connected through a surge connector but having recently read through some of the claims procedures, I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth it. The lifetime guarantee doesn't appear to be based on a very long life, and, if you've mislaid the original receipt, forget it.

I can see how a surge protector could be useful, however, has anyone ever had a piece of electrical equipment be destroyed through a spike in electricity? Maybe I am just lucky!?

Totally agree. I must be lucky too.

Combining it with a set of solar LEDs from B&M produces a solar powered clock that is illuminated during the night.

Just keep it some place sunny during the day (or at least the solar panel)!

I have this got it for £2.00 last time it was posted on HUKD. For the price it's definitely worth the price I've had for 2months no problems at all the best £2.00 I have spent in ages.

Chucked in the bin within 5 hours... It would have cost me £2 in fuel to return it. Correct it got stuck at a time and never moved lol

Yeah you get what you pay for. Better to pay for a decent quality one or not have one at all.

It's a decent deal. But speaking as a lifter who is definitely bigger built than anyone who might disagree with me. The stuff is a rip off to begin with. You should be getting 2kg plus of flavoured whey for 21 quid. It may not have all the wierd compounds and potions that the maxi guys will have you believing will leave you looking like a monster from flex (im afraid you'll need the injectable type of supplement for that) but basic whey will serve any lifter well. I buy 5kg bags unflavoured for 40 quid regularly online. There's nothing magic in the branded stuff

What do you mean there isn't anything magic about branded stuff,of course there is,you get one of those magic shiny labels on the front that catches they eye, they make all the difference don't you know ;)
Not a bad price but Argos are talking out of their back doors if that WAS price is to be believed.

I returned mine, build quality is great but disappointed with the bass. I compared it with my xb400 which had far more bass detail and just generally sounded better. I also tried the AKG451 which are quite similar to these 10RC
They're more suited for acoustic and jazz while the XB400 and AKG 451 are both good bass-heavy headphones. With that in mind I think the MDR-10RC are decent value for money.
AKG 451 were similar to these ie. again lacked the bass detail but they were tighter fit. I returned those too lol. Both are punchy in the mids and highs but i found could not listen to them for long periods
how would these size up as a gaming headset for ps4? Im not a professional gamer or anything but would like to replace the crappy sony earphones given with the console.

It's definitely more Dynasty Warriors than Zelda, but it has loads of content and is probably one of the more packed out games on the console. Lots of fun

Any good for providing light for a key safe?
You mean to show everyone where it is so they can come with their hammer and get your door keys?

Or why not just use the hammer to smash the window if you're going down that route
MarkT1967
Any good for providing light for a key safe?

I wouldn't think so - the light's more for a decorative use than you light up an area close to the lamp.

As long as it's in stock somewhere it shouldn't be marked as expired - doesn't matter how many other places have no stock.

Then why didn't you

- Report the listing to the moderators to be unexpired
- Post where it's available

Instead you posted with information that's of little use to anyone that it's been expired and that there is stock 'somewhere'. It's only on asking you to tell people where stock is that you actually did something useful. This is why it's expired because people can't find any stock anywhere they have checked. The idea of a community like HUKD is that if you can help that you return back to the community where you can.

...snip... than getting a spatula from the kitchen and pretending to play something right ?
/rant over.
You know a lot of drummers started out with spatulas. Pro-Tip: This game can be played with midi drums, so you may want to research what you are trying to condemn ;)
thr0tt
Probably a good saving however I feel this game really is pointless (like my post no doubt) but why not get Rocksmith and actually learn with a real guitar rather than twang a plastic thing in the middle of a fake guitar and well learn nothing but twang a plastic thing in the middle of a fake guitar ?
Possibly cheaper to buy this guitar shaped game controller but get your kids into something more practical, more fun playing smoke on the water while drunk on someone elses accoustic in their house than getting a spatula from the kitchen and pretending to play something right ?
/rant over.

Wow, you still don't get it...

I don't want to learn to play a real guitar, it doesn't interest me

I want to pick up a controller and pretend i'm playing for a quick bit of escapism

Please don't post in the COD or Battlefield threads :) (as alluded to above)
