Thats according to the EE customer forums.

Can we transfer the credit to existing sim ?

That's what I asked yesterday but nobody bothered.

The camera has underwhelmed in those impressions and the camera is certified by Leica not made by them.
Hmmm, where does it say that, as far as I can find, these are dual Leica-made lenses.
Best looking Smartwatch by a mile - compared to say the Fossil watch with it's black 'missing' bit at the bottom.

Must not buy....do not need....oooh shiny thing!!!

hi, how can it be more expensive? if you buy direct from HTC you have a phone but no monthly contract... ?

For someone like who already has a great deal from EE (20GB, unlimited texts and calls, £18) I plan to buy the phone outright, which is cheaper on HTC website.

The contracts they are offering aren't the best either

the pre order Vodaphone deal (plus 20% off with vodaphone advantage) says this phone and the free W1 classic watch had delivery on 6th May, and the Huawei site still have the phone on pre-order when you add it to the basket, so im hoping it arrives 6th May
Has anybodys order arrived yet? I understood it to be released on the 16th but having contacted CPW today I was advised to call back Wednesday if I had not been updated as they still had no stock? Nor they knew when they would. ...
I cancelled my order in the end, which took far more effort than needed.

The camera isn't made by Leica. It was "co-engineered" by Leica alongside Huawei. So don't be fooled, as this is quite possibly just a marketing tactic that means little when it comes to actual camera performance.
I would wait for the reviews to start coming in.
Quite a few reviews online already and they all seem to really rate the camera.
I've had mine a week and been pretty impressed with the camera. It's a Sony sensor with Leica lenses.
What phone did you come from? Is Emotion UI not really annoying?

Better phone FOR YOU.
Why is everyone on this site incapable of understanding that not everyone likes what they like.
The deal you mention is utterly useless for anyone who A) doesn't like big phone and B) wants a phone that runs iOS.
Just as this deal is useless for anyone that a) wants a large screen phone and b) doesn't like iOS.
The two are entirely different things.
So how about you vote based on wether this deal is good for the phone the deal is about.
Not vote based on the fact you like the S7.
That's kind of the point of the site.
Whoa calm down ladies put your handbags away it's only a phone :D
It happens with every single phone deal posted. And it gets very boring very quickly.
Yeah it does and even more stupid people vote cold because they don't like the brand not on the deal. I think this is a great phone but just the deals aren't that great.

As above really. I think the contract prices are way off.

This is £200 less an the 6s. Apple have priced it to be a 5s replacement and as such it should be priced accordingly.

These prices aren't far off the 6s. Until they drop its not worth it.

But I voted hot because it's the cheapest I've seen so far.

Couldn't agree more.A stupid idea by Apple to try fill a gap that didn't need filling.Concentrate on quality not quantity.Apple have gone right off the boil lately clutching at straws with more products that just don't fill the gap they do the need to fill.I prefer samsung but love my ipad and waiting for something new to come along but nothing as of yet.
antonywhite37
Personally can't stand Apple products but hope this sells by the boat load because Android manufacturers need to wake to the fact there is a market that's looking for sub 5 inch phones

Ha ha what planet are you on?Everyone wants a 4 inch screen of course they do.As for sales this thing won't sell die to the fact the iPhone 6 is just as cheap and better. The build quality on this thing going feels terrible compared to the 5s.
Decent price for the 64gb version. Heat added. Got the phone last week - absolutely love it (and that's after four years on Android, so no Apple fanboy glasses on here). Speedy, compact and has amazing battery life.

This is a great deal for me - am currently paying £10 a month for my dear old mum to have a simple contract on a basic Nokia. Looking to upgrade my daughters 4S which is battered so I can get this deal, give the sim to my mum and give my daughter the phone. £70 quidco cash back means I am paying only £50 for the phone, thanks op! :D

Bear in mind it's a nano sim for iphones so you might need an adapter or the remains of another sim card to use it in the Nokia. Also I think iPhones lock themselves to the network of the first sim you put in it so be careful.

Thank you for the tip, I didn't think of the size of the SIM card but should be able to get it exchanged in store for a standard one for £10. We are all on EE anyway so doesn't matter right now if it locks to EE :)

Edit: Carphone Warehouse phoned and offered the same phone for £17/m with 500mb data and refunded the £30 upfront cost. Not quite as good a deal but the extra 200mb is perfect as my girlfriend stays just under 500mb anyway. I guess the EE deal is for very low risk customers, hence the low price.

It has been this price at CPW for a very long time.

FYI the 32GB is 439.99 at CPW, and also available in Black.

Whys this deal cold, seems like a good price

From what I can see looking at other iPhone deals and anything iPhone generally there is some kind of dedicated effort by some anti-Apple mob to down vote everything they can find.

Pretty sad really. I accept iPhones are pricey but it's not about enforcing an opinion on people... As a deal for an iPhone and a contract the price seemed very good so I posted it. But it won't be seen because of some other agenda by a load of trolls. It's undermining the entire principle of the site IMHO.

I know it will be good for apps not the best for games.
moving some apps can compromise performance also you need to buy very good and quick sd micro card samsung micro sd card evo plus or sandisk extreme pro 95mb/s uhs-I u3
If we get marshmallow that won't be a problem you would be able to choose to use the micro sd card as internal storage

Good phone but only 8GB of memory. You can add a microSD card for music and photos etc.. but you can only load a few apps onto the phone until it runs out of storage.

You can set sd card as the default storage device, which like most android devices probably means cache and user data, but you can also move individual apps to sd card from app manager, not all can be moved but enough to make a difference.

yeah it is workable, but a bit of a pain nonetheless. I guess there are 2 downsides to this phone after all.

I would not trust Quidco , I didn't get my cashback taking tesco credit card
You can message them to chase it up...
Never had issues with quidco, always paid out for me.
Quidco is OK until a seller refuses your cash back no matter if your claim meets the original criteria. Quidco simply will not challenge the seller if you cash back is refused - end of story.
Had a problem with Rakuten a while back and I've not used Quidco since.

Yeah, that was pretty much the "service" I had from Quidco, can't remember who the purchase was with although it was a major brand place that I wouldn't have expected a problem.

I've found TCB thus far to chase things up a lot more satisfactorily.
Ordered per this deal yesterday - contacted via live chat to check delivery details, the advisor said the order had been cancelled.
Not heard anything via email, text, etc. Although the item was cancelled soon after by them they still took payment and now advising 5-7 days for a refund. Wont give an explanation to why cancelled.

Obv not anything to do w Quidco but just be wary of carphone warehouse. Even more annoyed that I could've walked in to apple store yesterday and picked one up - but like everyone you want to save where u can.
Are we sure this cashback is applicable on a phone only sale? Topcashback have a similar cashback but for new and upgrade contracts.

The phone doesn't really cost £600. It's marketed at this price to make these contracts look value for money.
seriously ?
Uh huh.
Surely they having a laugh at nearly a grand over two years. I don't care how much data it's got. 6 years ago I had a flagship phone with EE at £20.00 a month and unlimited data, texts and landline telephone. Can't remember what mobile limit, 500 mins maybe but over 24 months it cost me £480.00. 6 years on and this is double that. No wonder all these S7 deals are cold. Have a look at the following. Reasons not to buy an S7:

legacy ultimate internet sim, I've had the sim for years also pay £5 a month to bolt on unlim tethering (which apparently could end any time though) but this deal works for me. like I said everyone is diff and if you dont mind paying those prices this is an ok deal but personally I just can't see how any phone on the market today can justify these daft price tags based on how good cheaper phones are now
you are misleading in every way, never mind have a nice day. there is no sim card that gives you unlimited calls texts and data for less than £30

Great deal, exactly what I was looking for including the 64gb model. Quidco has tracked so for effectively £27.42 a month, this is an exceptional deal.
Thanks OP
I'm surprised this deal hasn't done better!!! I think the £65 is very likely to pay out.

Carphone Warehouse also has a good deal (that should qualify for £65 cashback) with 4gb data EE for 29.99 per month (£70 upfront fee).

It is an EE extra tariff (so inclusive minutes and texts in Europe).
Great deal, exactly what I was looking for including the 64gb model. Quidco has tracked so for effectively £27.42 a month, this is an exceptional deal.
Thanks OP

I'm quite tempted. What sort of reputation do Vodafone have?

I'm not saying I'd recommend vodafone as I've never used them before but if you check the competition out on that website they don't score much better:EEthreeo2iD
you just proved Vodafone is worst
Do I receive it on April Fools' Day?

64GB iPhone SE, Unlimited Calls, texts and 11GB 4G Data £36pm @ Carphone Warehouse £864.00

Carphone Warehouse offer, perhaps misprice? Seems like a great deal for me, it's a shame that it is through Vodafone but still seems the best price around. No upfront cost, 24 month contract. Works

SE means So Expensive
Yep, I suppose the fastest 4" phone on the market at a starting price of £369 is an absolute rip off..... Then again maybe not!
Just improved 5s which is £15 a month now, you need to be nuts to pay that money for SE. For that reason I am out.
Yeah. I mean; why would anyone ever get a new phone just because it offers improved or extra features? In a drawer somewhere; I have a couple of old Nokias. They don't even need whatever-G, so I could probably make a £10 pay&go sim last for a year or more.
/sarcasm

Personally; I think just the few headline improvements justify it; processor, battery, camera, Apple Pay, M9 co-processor, not-a-phablet.
And that budget iP5s is doubtless the base 16Gb model.

I'm sorry, I just don't believe it. But if you can show me where you got it I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

There were a few vodafone deals linked on here which worked out as £768 for the year (you'd have to cancel the 12 month contract immediately at the end) which are on a par with that pricing.

this is tempting , currently have a huawei P2, which is good but the battery life is dire, lasts 3/4 of a day with light use, changed for a new battery but still no better
Quidco are also offering me a £10 bonus special purchase, plus the usual £5 quidco with CPW, plus sell the £10 sim on eBay for another £5, so around £80 all in
but if the battery on this is not the best, ill be back to where i started with the P2?

I have the P8 Lite for a couple of months and its a very good phone but the battery life is rubbish.
The battery never lasts a day even on mimimum usage and it also takes an age to charge .
I previously had a Huawei Y550 ,that lasted 3 days on average.

The screen isnt bright enough either on the P8 Lite .
Apart from that though its a fine phone but Im going to sell it on and get something with a better battery.

Edit :After updating the phone to Marshmallow build 564 ,I am now getting 2 days out of the battery which is much better than Lollipop .

After having this for 7 weeks and using it for about 4 of those, I decided it wasn't for me. Don't get me wrong, it's an unbelievable phone for the price. I just couldn't get used to the Android OS compared to iOS, the size of it at 5" after using an iPhone 4s for years and there were just a few minor irritating things about it like button placement, having to use glitchy 3rd party apps to personalise it, nothing major. I suspect I'd have the same issues with a flagship Android phone like a Samsung S7 I guess?
Anyways, the purpose of this post is to say that I sold the phone in used (albeit immaculate condition) on eBay Sunday just gone for £115, cash on collection and the unused £10 SIM for £7. So after all the maths/fees, I've actually made a profit... 8) !! Okay only about a tenner but I won't grumble. I'm sure a new sealed one would sell for more than £115. Madness.
I'm getting an iPhone SE 64gb in Space Grey next week as my replacement, can't wait but obviously the £439 price is slightly more eye watering than the staggering cheapness of the P8 Lite.
If you're on the fence about purchasing one, I'd say go for it. Dip your toes and if you like it, great. If not then you can sell it and quite likely make a small profit, well at least while CW are currently selling them for £79 (I paid £89) and the P9 Lite is under wraps...
Ttfn :)
Good post, very neutral.

If you wanted to save some dosh however, have you thought about getting a refurbished 5S instead of the SE? There are some great deals on 32GB Grade B variants at the moment, with a 12 month warranty, via long-established eBay seller 'PlayGadgets'. Think the network locked ones are around £150 and not a lot more for the unlocked ones. Remember if you buy an EE-locked one, you can easily just pay EE £8.99 to get it unlocked even though it's preowned and you aren't the original owner.

A large screen Android device fan myself, but £150 is really tempting for an iPhone 5S. I can certainly see where you're coming from when you state that you prefer the way iOS works though. Android does indeed have its ups and downs, but so does iOS I guess.

When ordering from mobile website they don't seem to ask any upgrade details, assume this means anyone can pay the £85 upgrade price??
It fails just tried it does not accept payment at all.
