Still a great film, like the way that unlike many virus films there isn’t an instant cure found in days. It correctly predicted the conspiracy theorist type views, and that underlying them was financial motivation.

I wish that world war z, the book, had been given this type of film - from the beginning to a new beginning.

That is just so true. I've never been up a tower block in my life after watching the Towering Inferno when I was 10. We've got a cruise booked later in the year and I'm wary about watching the Poseidon Adventure tbh.

In a similar manner to The Lone Gumen, the US Government and 9/11, maybe the UK government should have paid more attention to this brilliant piece of fiction.

I wouldn’t say these are similar films, this is worth a watch.

Less a film, more a documentary. Other than (spoiler alert) the scientist injecting herself with the vaccine to test it.

I think Trump watched it the night before advocating injecting yourself with bleach to kill the virus. Amazingly some lunatic (American) tried it and promptly won the Darwin award.
