kenwebb 1953 I agree with you and feel the same .

I need a TV this size but when you compare the cost to a 19" one, it just doesn't add up

Afraid you may have to bite the bullet!!

Difficult to find a better price for a 16" with this spec, so hot from me.

16" is usually for the portable market and operate on 12/24 volts for touring caravans and trucks. Would be a real bargain if it had dual voltage!!

Shame it is going cold tho

Does anyone know if you get the left & right channel from a speaker like this. I am tempted, but watching a movie on a nice laptop with cheap speakers although poo, is preferable to watching it with one channel missing. I use headphones at present.

There is only one speaker and it isn't what you would call high quality.

I'll be amazed if you manage more than 3-4 mins - just try holding your arms out in-front of yourself, it doesn't take long before it starts to hurt.Ask the people who think they can watch a movie on a tablet in bed and then realise they have to prop it up and it falls over and so on :)
You're crazy. Maybe you should ask the millions of REAL drivers out there who drive real cars if they can't keep their arms up on the wheel for a long time. Hahaha!
I think you missed the point there.
You're right I did. I thought they were just example images of what it looks like behind, I can't believe its like that. Looks horrible.
Shame it's not mounted as it looks like a great wheel.
Although checking the youtube link, those gearshift buttons CLICK annoyingly loudly!

I was shocked to find out that this paper is soooo thin, that it only has one side! I now use this paper as the benchmark to establish whether something is very thin or not.

Edited By: HankMcSpank on Mar 10, 2013 20:16
JOliver335

As others have said 75gsm is very thin.. IMO

Not better for everyone. We use this paper to put into letters with client's orders, and every gram count! These sheets are good 2-4g lighter than 80g paper so saves us quite a bit of money.

If it is just a 'wrap' to cover orders so you can't see them through the envelope then you might consider buying better envelopes. If it's advertising or heads up on future offers it really says a lot about the company that sent them. You might be a great supplier but sending cheapo paper is not a great advert.....

Edited By: Johnatcastle on Mar 10, 2013 20:05

Doesn't the bag get full after you've vacuumed up a cat or dog?
Must be really annoying to change the bag everytime!
david14
I looked at a Miele S700 in my local JL two weekends ago but decided to plump for the slightly more expensive S8310 instead. I don't have pets so I decided that I didn't need the charcoal odour filter. The supplied turbo brush beats the carpet but I felt the standard floor head with the S8310 would be sufficient. The S8310 has better control over the motor (the dial on the S700 isn't as well designed as the - / + buttons on the S8 series), takes larger GN bags (the S700 takes the smaller FJN bags) and is slightly better built. I believe the S700 is manufactured for Miele in China rather than in Germany. The S700 is manufactured specifically for special clearance offers and is not part of the normal Miele vacuum ranges (I went to Miele Experience in Abingdon recently and the S700 is missing from their displayed model line up). The S700 lacks a slot to hold the wand on both sides of the unit (S8 has a slot on both sides), lacks one touch power cord retraction (you have to hold the button down whilst the cord retracts). The S8310 can be had from the same supplier for £169.99. I'm happier with it because it is the latest range rather than based on slightly older technology and has a 2200W motor compared to a 2000W. I also consider that it looks aesthetically better.

I wouldn't have a bag less vacuum cleaner again. I gave away one today to someone after having avoided using it for five years. Doing so reminded me of the mess it made when emptying. I prefer bags.
Nice post. Thank you!

Well worth the extra £4 to get it from Carphone Warehouse IMO.
Would you care to explain why?

Simply due to personal experience...I've found Carphone Warehouse have always gone above and beyond to help me (although I know this is not everyone's experience!), whereas I have had terrible customer service from Currys, to the point where I would never shop with them again.

Avoid Western Digital encrypted drives. All data is encrypted on the fly, even if you don't set a password. If the drive develops a problem you won't be able to recover the data. With a plain drive you could swap the drive to another enclosure or read it via SATA cable.
Won't get heat on these until they drop under a ton as that how cheap they got before.

Hot. Bought one today - seems cheapest around. The Bluetooth sync is great and the fact that the battery last months not days is a plus too.
but a cheap android phone for same price. then you get all the features + much more
Fitbit Zip is just a pedometer - so you're paying £39 for wireless capability. Fitbit Ultra (£57.99 from Amazon) is a much better choice, as it can monitor your sleep pattern and uses altimeter to track floors climbed.

8850m is comparable to GTX660m.

Pc specialist Optimus IV 15.6" equivalent spec with GTX660m is £743 delivered without the touchscreen. (Not that I would personally want it!)

Oh and Windows 7 not 8!
Screen brightness 270 nit
Weight 2.7Kg
Typical Battery Life Up to 6 hours in UMA mode

(The realistic average run-time is 1.5 to 3 hours, but obviously the more you use the notebook, and the more devices you order when configuring the notebook, the lower the battery life will be.)

Depends what your priorities are I guess, but a spec like that is aimed at Gaming, doubt you'd get more than an hour out of either running something heavy.
