Seems a reasonable price considering it is new and the higher capacity.

A lot of places are still doing the older one for over £120, although it is £89 at Amazon and £99 at Tesco at the moment.

My sister has the older version and barely uses her oven.

As expected, Currys have pulled this deal the day before you can use the £50 voucher (valid from 12th Sept)

I even made a reservation for a 'Reserve & Collect' for this deal this afternoon, thinking that I will pick it up tomorrow - but I've only just noticed they haven't sent me my reservation confirmation so presume that they have decided to renague on the deal.

Anything I can do guys? :(
Went to a local Currys store to check this out. I can confirm it's not the new IS STM lens included.
I've just picked one up about an hour ago.. Present for the wife.

Ended up buying other things with it as I have no idea about cameras and salesman said I needed additional items to make the pack perfect
- like everyone else, its finding the right lens for holidays now (feel free to throw ideas at me lol)

In regards to this, camera is nice and image are clear but all I got was the standard kit 18-55mm non is kit lens, same one I saw on the other models instore... (Dont know if that is the same as the STM lens or telephot zoom lens mentioned above)

Thanks. Picked one up earlier today... Nice small dslr so easier to carry, great with the extra bits and bobs too. Looking forward to using it soon

Any recommendations on any lenses I could buy for my upcoming holiday... Want take photos of people, buildings and landscapes.... Can the lense provided do this or shoul I invest in new (budget = £200-300)

Congrats on your purchase! Please can you confirm so we know this for sure - Is it the STM lens or not?
How do I get the quidco cashback? first time using the site

You need to register on, look for Currys, find "£50 voucher + 3% double cashback + up to 10% cashback on cameras
(Expires in 14 hours)" click on it and you will be redirected to the Currys website and your purchase will be tracked.
Please make sure you clean up all your cookies and web history before doing this as otherwise they can refuse to pay the cashback.

Win8 needs almost 30 gb. How is about the free memory?
Not sure why this is cold, the fact that it runs windows, means you can certainly achieve more out of this than any Android tablet. And at 200£, a piece, this is clearly a good deal.
its quite a nice tablet (light windows use) but the 32gb is the killer
Full version of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 included free as well, which is worth £109.
Really good deal. A full version of Window 8 on a tablet with decent speed and battery life for only £249. Screen looks perfectly good. Quite a bargain. If it ran Android I'd buy it in a blink of an eye, though still a great deal as is.

BOSE AL8 Wireless Audio Link £49.91 from CURRYS (was £199.91)

Meh. Bose sound isn't the best. But boy do they target their market well. Just like Apple, not best product in industry but marketing OTT.

I'll say. I love how they recommend a stupidly over-priced HDMI cable in the blurb for this thing. - BARGAIN! :|

Thanks for posting the deal - have purchased. I assume it's a resistive screen? Reviews seem negative on the screen too. Hopefully it's usable.
Just received mine today.

Not very happy about the touch screen, it handles very badly and isn't as slick as using a smartphone.

Thats the one I got.

I saw it in John Lewis clearance section for £79 a month ago (one off bargain.I compared if with the 510hs, and to be honest I couldnt say which is better, both have a few "winning points" over the other specs wise.... In this instance though the 510hs is £30 cheaper.

Personally I would still prefer the Samsung sT200F which Argos have for £60-£70 if any left, (iposted the deal last week), wbich is a noticably bigger phone, but still a compact, similar specs (maybe slighly lower quality pics) but seemingly easier use of wifi (particularly video, which can load straight to youtube, which my 240hs cannot do)

I would recommend taking a trip to Currys, etc to try them "hands on", as the feel is important

Edited By: DonkeyKonk on Aug 26, 2013 22:15
Good deal this one, I nearly got the 500hs for £79 a few weeks ago and the 510hs was £129.99 (wifi being the only difference really)

Quality camera, very slick and great specs.

If you spend another penny you get a "£50 off £200 voucher" to spend next month

Pretty good deal, in my opinion. PS4, while reasonably priced on release, will have expensive games, and not much of a catalog for a few months, so the PS3 will be going strong for some time to come.

I should say, I've pre-ordered the PS4, but will still be playing the PS3.
I woke up feeling great today so rather than a ps4 comment........

Good price for the package, couoke of great games included aswell but ill still wait for a ps4 oops
ps4 due out soon, price of this'll plummet
ps4 due out soon, cold
Hmm over a hour and no 'ps4 due out soon, cold' or 'ps4 due out soon, price of this'll plummet' type comments, guess they're all asleep.

Bought a set, and tried them. As someone whom has literally spent tens of thousands on hifi I feel my opinion is fairly unbiased.
Bottom line? Had I spent £60 I would of been mildly unimpressed. Had I spent £100 (even bearing in mind that these would only ever be for my boy, or a PC or some such) they would of been sent back, no question.
For £25, a bargain, particularly if you use a compatible idevice.

Build quality, not bad at all, in fact I found little to get upset about at all.
Functionality, well first thing to note is that the unit is entirely unusable without the remote (so don't lose it) there is no on/off, volume or pairing controls on the units themselves. Easy to set-up and pair, with the usual limited idevice controls available. There is no facility to connect a sub, but a composite video out is present for routing idevice video to a display.

Sound quality. Hardly the last word in anything. A boxy, warm tone, that is flat and uninteresting to me. Push the volume up with bass heavy material and there is coloration via enclosure resonance. Not overt vibration as such, just a compact enclosure dealing with air compression.
Given (I assume) its intended use, as a background source, and its £25 tag, I feel churlish in being overly critical.

They are not as good as the deal CPC had on a year or two in their clearance, where I bought 2 pairs of their BT speakers for £60. These went louder, have a more open soundstage, had all controls on the rear of the main speaker and included a dedicated sub out (but did not have an idock or remote) and could be driven passively.
But £25 for an active pair of speakers, that have Bluetooth, aux and idock connectivity, a remote and are pleasant to look at? Given their (assumed) secondary role, I doubt you could better them.
Genuinely? That is disappointing. What about them do you find appalling?
Got a pair and they are awful.
£25 for a pair of Bluetooth speakers, that have had more than reasonable user reviews, c/w remote for pre-lightning gen apple products? Bargain

Apparently (according to one of the reviews) you can use a lightning>30pin adapter. It will only charge, but you can charge and use BT for audio.

Reserved a couple. Thanks OP.
Just be aware it's their own brand and doesn't seem to be for iPhone 5

I was not seeing the logic.

Sometimes there is no logic. A lot of people seem to forget that this is a deal site not a review/opinion blog and think that hot = 'I like it and will buy it ' and cold = 'I do not want one of these right now'. It would be nice if people who voted cold were made to put a link to a lower price for the same item before their vote was registered - that would sort a lot of the silliness out.

hey its not your fault in fairness this deql is good but alot of retailers are selling refurbished models at around 125.

i think its for this reason people have put the chill on this post.

thanks for posting an remember if you post a deal that makes 1 hukd member happy you done well in my eyes.

I was not seeing the logic. The post was for a new model, not a refurb, (which basically means someone has polished the screen) and is the cheapest out there at the minute.

Anyone any advice on this situation... sent off my receipt to hp for the cashback offer after buying the tablet at the end of August. A line has just appeared on the tablet screen that won't go away even after resetting. If I return for an exchange I'm afraid I'll lose my cashback with hp, is this correct?
I bought for the kids they dont look at resoulotion dpi pixels whatever it was perfect.
1024x600 is a terrible resolution for a tablet. I second the Nexus 7 - it should have much more life left in it than this budget tablet.

terrible because of what? because there are tablets that have resolution 4000x5000 or whatever?

have 12'' (not 7'') thinkpad tablet with resolution 1024x768 and it's perfectly fine, so on 7'' screen that resolution must be more than adequate ...
