The undead curse continues to spread across the kingdom of Drangleic with Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, a compilation of the critically acclaimed Dark Souls II along with its three DLC chapters (Crown Of The Sunken King, Crown Of The Old Iron King, and Crown Of The Ivory King.)
Face the challenge once again in this sequel to the hardcore action RPG. Dark Souls II features a new hero, a new storyline, and an unfamiliar world for players to survive in while delivering its signature brand of unrelenting punishment that players hunger for. Epic battles with gruesome enemies and blood-thirsty bosses await adventurers as they traverse through a devastated world filled with death and despair; only those who are strong willed or cunning can survive this journey to achieve great glory. Players seeking to share their experience will discover a revamped server-based multiplayer mode that puts a distinct Dark Souls II twist on the concept of playing with others.

I had the patience to complete Demon's Souls and Dark Souls and put 500 hours in both games but this game i gave up when i reached No-Man's Wharf and now can't be bothered to play it anymore. Too difficult.

How can you play 500 Hours of the originals and then find this one too difficult ? you should be pro

PC version also £15~ which I think is the lowest the SFS version has ever been.

Torn between buying the inferior apparently-poor framerate PS3 version or the PC version but I don't have access to my desktop right now to play it.

Edit: Bought the PS3 version, hopefully the framerate got fixed in patches.

If you've managed Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1 you should manage this. Try to persist with it a bit more, the game opens up more after that area.

Very good price for the game. Completed on PS3 and PS4, feels very fresh on the PS4. Here's hoping for a Dark Souls 1 remake

if I wrote this and then read what I wrote "500 hours into both games". I would consider if I had a life!
I know I did this of 3 years on DC universe and I can still hear it calling me.

I finished ds 1 and also have not finished this (on 360) as I find it harder.
Better mechanics and graphics than the first but not quite the same feel.
V tempted but can't justify at this price as still have it on last gen. Heat though!

I really want to pick this up but having bought Dying Light on the PS4 and State of Decay and Mortal Kombat x on the Xbox one in the last two weeks I think I should wait lol

Yeah been playing on PS3 this morning.

They clearly didn't fix the FPS problems, it's constantly dropping to 20~ fps. In fact the opening scene was going about 15fps.

Maybe i'm just spoilt by PC gaming but anything below a constant 30fps (at minimum, pref. 60) gives me headaches these days.

My favourite Xbox One game so far, currently playing Witcher 3 though and it's looking like it will overtake.
Well worth the price though, purchased it early for £35, about 50 hours in and still haven't finished, haven't even started DLC yet either.

Brilliant game. Not quite on par with ds1 as its a bit linear at the start unless you know what your doing and the soul memory co-op play has some flaws co.pared to the soul level co-op of the first. Just hit ng+ and co-op is dead for me after grinding out the loyce souls. What it needs is someway to adjust your soul memory at a cost of soul levels to keep things even.

I've completed it, just the other day, but now I have all the DLC stuff to do! That's literally going to take another 10-20 hours for me.

Is this a must buy if I massively enjoyed bloodborne?

I just bought witcher 3 that received a 10/10 from gamespot, but I was hugely dissapointed. Now I have trust issues lol.

In my opinion this is a better game than Bloodborne, the combat is much more varied though so you may not agree. (The best Souls game is still the first). At £25 it's worth a shot!

Personally, I'd never trust or even waste my time reading a videogame "review".

Playing Dark Souls for the first time, loving it! Been looking all week for this to be under 25 quid, thank you sir!

As someone who loves the Souls Series and played so much of the original Dark Souls II on the PS3 and never played the DLC's, I really recommend this edition. The changes in enemies, item locations and attack patterns really threw me off at first and made it quite the experience. Despite being last gen it really looks nice with it's little graphical update too.

But they have recently changed the free delivery minimum order to £20, so you can't get the PS3 / 360 versions for that price. Bad move Amazon!

I had it on the PS3(The original version without DLC) and I agree, there were FPS issues which was very distracting. I got my copy for the PS4, haven't played it yet although I hope the FPS doesn't drop as much as the PS3 version!

It's basically the same, but with a more complex upgrade / customisation system. Incredible game. I probably preferred Bloodborne on balance, but if you enjoyed that then this, Dark Souls and Demons Souls are basically essential purchases.

Demons Souls was my favourite. What a game!

Can anyone confirm that the ps3 versions now include the dlcs on the disc? I bought this on ps3 solely for the dlcs as it was cheaper than getting off psn or xbox live. Received the game today and there's no codes but when I loaded it up I got the scholar of the first sin title so it's the correct version at least. Does anyone know if the dlcs are definitely included or do I have to send shopto a stroppy email?
