mine was flimsy too however neighbour noticed I had no sound deadening pads.
6 pounds later solid as... and less noisy too.
Would have bought but too small at 950mm... plus bad reviews
Just had one these fitted, very flimsy, very thin especially around the tap holes(if you can find them in the box), I had a tall mixer tap fitted and it wobbles all over the place. wont be long before its changed again.

Just picked up what appears to be the same BBQ in Tesco Haverhill for £40 in their summer clearance. Most likely store specific depending on stock but might be worth checking your local.
I got 1 a few years ago.and I got a hot spot..will useable.am just scrapping my.because I can't find how 2 buy a new gas flame(what the flames come out of)1 side is burning yellow
Don't buy the gas in b&q as it is an extortionate price (patio/BBQ type gas bottle). Buy a screw in type regulator off of eBay and then get a bottle of gas that looks better on a builders site than on your patio. Same gas, huge price difference.
I got this BBQ couple if years ago for 35, think it was mid August when they were clearing out summer stuff. It's OK for a budget BBQ.
What's the size? I wonder if it's too small.
azeDmon
So wait... You have to purchase the gas cylinder separately or does it come with it? . And cant we use the charcoal method of cooking? Thx I'm not an expert in this field :-P

it's a gas bbq.. gas sold separately. can use either propane or butane with correct regulator. no you can't use charcoal..

If it's anything like the cheapo one Homebase sell, it's a nightmare to wire as it's push connectors not screw and you need a small bulb to fit it.

Don't think the drill comes with its own case, nothing on the site about a case
Hate having drills loose in toolboxes!
If it didn't come in a case do you think they would remember to give you a charger when you bought it......don't think I ever seen a cordless drill that doesn't come in a case.
I hope you are all happy with your 3 hour charge. Sorry guys for all of you who bought this but I bought one when it was on offer at £42.00 and I had a 20% off voucher. I bought it then realised it was the cheaper version of this drill without a removable or replaceable battery and took it back. Wickes own brand at £34.99 is a better drill. Same voltage and only 20 minutes to charge. As for hammer, well I have a proper drill for that. Hammer action on cheap drills is a bit hit and miss and for decent quality bricks hardly any good at all.
Plenty of drills out there just come in a canvass case not a hard case, I can see 2 just on the B&Q website alone that come in a soft case!
As for your hammer comment..You have just shown how inexperienced you are!
Perhaps you should have asked does it come in a hard case or does it come in a canvas one such as Ryobi. Your question implied it just came loose. You need to ask the right question to get the right answer and this drill is small enough to go in any man-size toolbox andway. Try drilling an engineering brick and then you may just realise how inexperienced you are if you think a 10.8v drill for 40 quid is going to make an impression let alone a hole. And just to add I put signs up for a living, like on brick walls, without electricity !!! Had a good deal of hammer drills and with these small drills on a brick wall all its going to do is rattle the drill bit loose but at least it has a nice case.
I have drilled many engineering bricks in my time and if you have the right drill and the right bit, even a low powered drill will go into it quite easily, only inexperienced people have trouble, its all about technique not brute force which you amateurs tend to use!
Nice 3-5 hour charge time by the way..Ha ha 20 mins indeed! X)http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n165/crazylegsdude/23_07_16_20_50_55_zpsia2hwk6t.png
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CBgLBv6WEAAk4x5.jpg
Yep plenty of dreamers and jokers on here, I always catch em out though!
Not such a smartguy after all eh, comes on the thread, slates a branded hammer drill with a drill bit set deal, and sings the praises of a drill driver "which is a Challenge drill cheap brand with Wickes branding on it" they bought thats not even in the same ballpark..
The Bosch has a 1.5ah battery, the challenge brand has a 1.3ah, The Bosch has a 3 hour charge time and the challenge has 5 hours, the challenge is less powerful and doesn't even have a hammer action either, the Bosch also has the Syneon chip, the Challenge would be lucky if it had a portion of chips..
The guy then lies telling everyone his challenge drill has a 20minute charge time..
He also goes on to say he fits signs for a living..Really! wouldn't want to be his customer then..
All credibility gone and a liar to boot!!!
He's also gone on various websites and lied on the reviews pages of this drill with the same drivel...Unbelievable!!!!

You need to get out more and not believe everything you read on internet websites. Go to Wickes and look at the drill I mentioned. READ the instructions and you will see the charge time is 30 minutes or do you wish to call me a liar. You need to get hard facts before you start accusing. In fact if you look at the advert from Wickes you posted you will see it says it's a CORDED drill. My my, I guess you missed that. No doubt you will be telling everyone they should buy Panasonic as it's one of the best brand names to buy yet all their cheaper stuff isn't made by them at all including their low priced tv's. Who do you think makes some of the Bosch range. You would be surprised in the current market how many brand name manufacturers are having their products made in the far east or Turkey in order to be competitive at all levels. You may want to take the P out of my tag name but I do my research and if you did yours properly you would know that what I wrote about the drill I purchased was based on fact after purchasing which looks very similar to some top brand ones out there. Anyway enjoy your 3 hour wait until the next full charge, as for me mine is nearly ready to go again in the time it has taken to write this, oh and did I mention I can take the battery out, put in a spare and carry on. Oh no I didn't I.

For anyone else who wants to chip in, I did actually mention that the Bosch drill offered good value, however my preference was to buy the Wickes one which I am highly delighted with. This is my opinion which I am fully entitled to but people like Crazyhead would appear that there is only one opinion and that is his.

Sounds like u need to get a life crazy legs
Only your 2nd ever post here at HUKD, not the most intelligent of posts!

U must like to read grown men squabbling over nonsense??
I can echo what Comatosesheep has said
The case is very good quality and as you would expect from Bosch, plenty of little extra compartments for spare drill bits and the odd pack of screws too..
The drill is surprisingly powerful for its size and I have just finished drilling 4 holes in Tiles and masonry for my bathroom towel holder, for information it went through it just as quick as my 14.4v drill did, infact I had a lot more feel with the Bosch as it is way lighter than my existing drill, I can see my old one being put at the back of the cupboard now as the variable feel from the trigger is also much nicer on this Bosch
Loving the drillbit set too and very good quality bits, nice touch is the 7mm and 8mm mini-sockets included, you'd be surprised how many socket sets leave these sizes out now, Pozi-drive and Torx bits are also a nice addition..Well worth the £39.99 all day long!

Still unsure to whether to buy this considering the drill can't go in reverse...
gg1pl

I looked at the Titan too as it's more powerful and has good reviews but the downside was the 5kg weight.

Beasts come heavier i guess lol im sure an average adult can handle 5kg weight above head for a few mins. Besides the titan is powerful so shouldnt take too long for a job?

I looked at the Titan too as it's more powerful and has good reviews but the downside was the 5kg weight.
This looks like the Titan 1500w SDS, probably a different motor, but the 1500w is about £60-70 depending on bits. I'd say even you buy this and use it once, it's cheaper than getting a "professional" in to break up some concrete.
ICTHUS
That's a rotary hammer drill, not an SDS+.
Completely different and nowhere near as powerful.

Ah, showing my nativity there! So is the fact it has no reverse likely to be an issue?

b&q logoB&Q – The Heavy-Duty Hardware King

Richard Block and David Quayle started B&Q in Southampton in 1969 and quickly opened more stores nationwide as demand for their products grew. They delved into the home hardware and furnishing markets in the 1980s after acquisition by parent company Kingfisher and began increasing the size of their stores into the warehouse depots we see today. The next major milestone for the company happened in the 1990s when they opened stores in Taiwan and China. B&Q continued expanding in the noughties, adding more warehouses as well as opening a brand new ecommerce website as one of the first companies to jump on the internet shopping bandwagon after secure online purchasing became possible.

Shop Online at Diy.com

B&Q flogs more than 40,000 products in their warehouse stores and on their site at www.diy.com. The Find A Store function lets you enter your postcode or town, or select the option to let the site use your IP address to pinpoint your location, and the store finder will list store addresses and display an interactive Google map.

B&Q Top Product Groups and Brands

B&Q is the place to go to browse and buy all kinds of hardware products imaginable from industrial tools, hardware supplies and safety equipment to light fixtures, kitchen designs, paint and plants.

The B&Q online store helps you search via two major categories:

1) by specific room, which includes bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, living area, garage, and garden;

2) by department, which is where you can search for building supplies, electrical, doors, flooring, paint, heating, plumbing, and tools.

Jump In – B&Q Kitchens

Within the major website categories, popular brands in B&Q’s online shop include:

Deals and Promotions from B&Q

You’ll spot deals, discounts, and multi-buy offers as you scroll through the product lists within all shop categories. When it comes to promotional periods like Easter and Christmas, B&Q will announce its sales events throughout the site and in the media but dedicates a permanent page on diy.com specifically for Black Friday. With the help of discount vouchers you can regularly save money at diy.com.

Ordering Products on Diy.com

If you don’t plan on ordering a lot of stuff from B&Q in the future, then there is the possibility to order as a guest, with the option to register for a B&Q account during a later stage of the checkout process. There are some member’s only benefits for signing up for a B&Q Club account, though.

For starters, every new B&Q Club member gets a discount voucher which is perfect for your first purchase. Keep buying products from B&Q and you will earn further rewards like discount vouchers that are personalised to match your spending habits and favourite product categories.

B&Q – Accepted Payment Methods

You can pay for products on diy.com using all the major credit and debit cards including Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro UK, and Maestro International. B&Q will also accept B&Q Account cards if you have one and B&Q Trade cards that offer flexible credit options and sometimes cheaper building supplies for local tradespeople.

B&Q – Delivery Costs and Times

Delivery costs for orders placed on diy.com can be confusing if you read their delivery policy. You can skip all this if you choose to shop now and collect in store. Simply order before 19:00 Monday to Friday or before 16:00 on weekend and collect your order after 12:00 the next day. You need to wait an extra day if you order after the cut off time.

But if you do opt for home delivery, here’s a brief overview of costs. For regular products, a charge of £5 applies if your total order comes to less than £50 but shipping is free if you spend more than this. Shipping for bulky products will be worked out based on size and weight. Regular and bulky products qualify for next business day delivery as long as you order before 15:00.

Cancellations and Returns at Diy.com

B&Q are generous with the returns period, giving you 45 days from delivery date to send the unused product back and get a full refund. In fact, B&Q will arrange the product collection for you, saving you from paying expensive shipping costs. Follow this two-step process to arrange a return and refund:

  1. Contact the B&Q home support team on 0333 0143357 or via email at [email protected] or even in writing to B&Q To Home Team, Torrance House, Erskine, Renfrewshire, PA8 6PA to arrange a collection.
  2. Put the products back in their original packaging ready for collection on the agreed date. The money will be put back to your account once B&Q have accepted your returned products.
  3. Get the money back into your account quicker by taking the unwanted or faulty product, along with the payment receipt and credit/debit card, to your nearest store.
  4. You can also cancel an online order before it's shipped but be quick because once your order status is shown as shipped, you'll have to wait for delivery and request a return instead.
